Clarification on Dead Shot & Scattering properties

Gunslinger Discussion: Round 2

Okay, so I could use some help here. My DM and I are discussing the functionality of Dead Shot & the Scatter effect. I know that it was stated here on the forums here somewhere, but I tried looking via the Search function, but just can't find it.

Please, someone help confirm if I was correct with these?

1.) Dead Shot: Effectively turns the amount of attacks into 1 well-placed shot, versus multiple shots, both because the Musket is unable to fire multiple shots that quickly, and to save ammo.

But, when you critically threat and then confirm on ANY of the rolls, the entire dice is a critical, correct? IE: Level 6, I normally get 2 shots. This becomes 1 shot, but dealing 2d12 damage. If I confirm on the second attack [or bullet tumble] roll, then the total damage is multiplied by 4, yes?

2.) Scatter Properties: When firing a Shotgun or Blunderbuss, and using Scatter [Buckshot instead of a Slug] you only critically fail [IE: Break your weapon] if you roll a Natural 1 on ALL attack rolls, correct?

Thanks a bunch in advance, the session is this Sunday, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Don't know why it isn't letting me edit my post... but I found the Shotgun official answer, still need the Dead Shot one.
