...is you do NOT talk about Edition Wars.

Rule 0 of the edition wars: RULE 0 makes everything OK. Somebody's gonna go there every time, as sure as Nazis, Stormwind, Ad Hoc, and Strawman, you better believe it.

I don't care what anyone else says. The previous edition of this thread was way better.

There were no previous editions. I don't know what you're talking about.

Scarab Sages

I heard the next edition is coming out tomorrow.

I still have the original edition of this thread in the original box it came in. No I'm not selling.

Reg: All right, but apart from the skill system, simplified armour class, streamlined classes, greater balance, cool game worlds, more variety, more races, the creating a community and gave us a good time, what has the previous edition ever done for us?

Attendee: Brought Fun and Joy?

Reg: Oh, Fun and Joy - shut up!

Reg: There is not one of us who would not gladly suffer death to rid this country of the previous edition once and for all.

Dissenter: Uh, well, one.

Reg: Oh, yeah, yeah, there's one. But otherwise, we're solid.

The previous edition of this thread had a lot more Teterian Naturalism to it. I blame Ross for the new edition of this thread's MMO feel.

But I thought there could only be two?

Did you see a second highlander movie? No! It was Highlander, then Highlander: the Final Dimension. There was no second movie.

I'd just like to go on record as saying you guys aren't taking this nearly seriously enough.

EDITION WAR IS SERIOUS BUSINESS!

Rule 15.45a

On the second Wednesday of the month of March you can from the time period of 0642 until 0643 discuss the aspects that one particlar edition may have over any other edition of the same game as long as there has been a new edition that has been produced in the past 2 years but only in select countries/states and never on the 37th parallel. If for any reason you do not use this time it is forfeit until the next calender year.

Rule 15.45b

This rule retracts the previous rule and states that it is never a good time to enter into a discussion about so-called "editions" of so-called "role playing games".

Don't worry, by then we'll all be playing Zuglords 9000, the real successor to D&D!

Bah the Bunnies and Burrows 1000000th edition craps all over Zuglords except for maybe Zuglords 343.724 which was a good game.

When I finally produce the first version of my own game, I'll give you guys plenty of time to marvel at how I single-handedly ended the edition wars with my own magnificence.

You're game is old and uses screens. Ours is fully rendered in 3-D realistic environment suits!

1000001 st edition allows you to jack in to the matrix and it has a quantum nano neural feedback mechanism so if you die in game you die in real life.

Zuglords is for wimps you'd jack out as soon as you saw Big Bunny and his bunny horde coming for you.

Screw this... I'm breaking off, creating D&D 4th Edition, 2nd Edition! It will be a mix of Pathfinder and 4th Ed but completely backwards compatible with both Rifts and GURPS!!!

Then I'll be back to declare my own Edition War on this forum!!!

Who's with me!?! :P

That's because Big Bunny is uber-l33t! 1000001 st edition jacks you into the matrix, sure... but I ain't letting it jack me in where you've gotta stick those wires!
