So, I'm officially torn now. Who is my VC now? Doug in Detroit, or Bob in Highland, IN? I'm Kalamazoo, MI. Or...do I get a mommy and a daddy, and if so, who's daddy, and who's mommy?

I'm not going to "steal" Doug's players. You're in the Detroit area moreso than Chicago so, you're stuck with "Massacre Miles"

Besides, neither one of us qualify as your mommy. I'll just be the weird uncle :-)

Hey nice. It is great to have a venture captain from North West Indiana.

Congrats Twilight Knight!

Congratulations, Twilight_Knight!! Thanks for all the hard work on befalf of the Pathfinder Society.

Maybe some clarifications on the boundaries would be good. However, I think that Bob has done an excellent job as a GM and will be able to help a lot as Pathfinder Society Organized Play grows.

Thanks. I shall endeavor to perform the duties of the role to the best of my ability. But just in case I am involved in a unpleasant & embarrassing public scandal, you might want to keep the Miss America runner-up on standby. :-)

Players should feel they can contact any VC for assistance, even ones who are states or nations away. I trust Bob and Doug will coordinate with one another regarding who will handle individual conventions or events in the overlap between them, but if someone has a question, any VC should be able to help, or at least direct you to someone else for an answer.

Mark & Hyrum, I would like to thank you for making sure that there is a Bob & Doug pairing to work for the Great White North.

Dunno about being Doug's anymore. According to google maps, you're 12 miles closer to Kzoo than he is. That almost literally puts Kzoo, smack dab between you two. Also, for the record, you're at Kzoo's local con before Doug is, so...dunno, cards are stacking towards you.

*Looks to Doug to swing us back into favoring him*

Ahem...I like food, dice, and minis Doug. Just in case you're wondering.

Someday, when I grow up, I'll be a 4-star awesome GM like TK, and then Hyrum will see my awesomeness and promote me to VC of Kalamazoo! *stares off into space day dreaming*

Sorry, IIRC, there is a 5 star GM (Doug D) in Vegas who isn't the Vegas VC (Theocrat Issak). I am not totally sure, and, of course, it is subject to change, but I don't think the Vegas VC is a 4 or 5 star GM. Yet.

I'm sorry, but Doug is not a 5-star GM, no matter what his profile says. A 5-star GM has to dedicate hundreds of hours of their life to this game, not a couple of scenarios.

Hmmm. He was given access to the Midnight Mauler scenario, so I guess someone in authority may just disagree with you.

Me? Nope, no disagreement here. I am still waiting for Doug D to finish reporting my original PC's first scenario played, #5 Mists of Mwangi, at NeonCon 2008 during Season 0....

How bout a little further south. Somewhere a bit closer to the middle of the state, so some of us downstate people dont have to drive so far to get a con in our own state. ;)

And congrats to Bob.

Grand Lodge 4/5 5/55/5 ***

There is a relatively well supported game going on the north side of the city and the College of Dupage on the southwest side has a few conventions throughout the year.

If haven't been involved in those with all the other cons and games I have been traveling to. However, I will be reaching out to the organizers of those to see what I can do to help and providing support as needed.

I will also be working with Mark (in Indy) and Doug (in Detroit) on supporting conventions between our areas. The three of us recently attended 3Con in Fort Wayne, IN.

Doug and I will be at Marmalade Dog in Kalamazoo, 15-17 April. I hope to see a great turn out.

I'll become familiar with local games in a wider geographic footprint, but perhaps we can work on something for the Lafayette/South Bend areas in Indiana or Kankakee/Urbana areas of Illinois. Maybe even something middle-state working with Jason out of St Louis.

If someone has a question for me or wants some support for a game, feel free to email. My address should be listed in my profile.

Shadow Lodge 5/5

Well done and welcome to the ranks! If you're out of Chicago, we might be able to coordinate together on occasion in Wisconsin as well.

Dark Archive 4/5 5/55/55/5 Venture-Agent, Indiana—Lafayette

Congrats Senoir Bob!!!! Most deserving.

I'll definitely vie for something in the Lafayette Area :) But I'd support South Bend too.

We have a small group slowly forming at a FLGS and there are various Home PFS games going on in the area, and I'm sure that there are resources to be found at Purdue. So far I haven't been able to make time to explore those avenues further.

I'm looking forward to working with you in the future. :)

Doug was promised 5-star status by Josh and Hyrum and I honored that arrangement. To date there are two 5-star GMs who have not run at least 100 scenarios: Doug and Josh. We'll be unveiling the new, less-subjective requirements for earning a 5th star later in the summer.

If you mean are they talking about Doug Miles, the answer is no.

He has roughly 300+ events reported, so he is a fully qualified 5-star GM.

And thanks!

I think he's slowing down. He had 250 in November.

Yes, there are two different Dougs:

Douglas Miles is the true 5 star DM

Doug Daulton got his 5 stars from a cereal box

And Bob, congrats and welcome to the team!

Grand Lodge 5/5

Yes sirree Bob... Congrats sir!! Welcome to the team of people to try and make The Society a much larger place! :)

To be fair Doug Daulton has made a lot of contributions to PFS via NeonCon and he's due more respect than he's getting here. I do appreciate the defense of earning 5 stars and I look forward to having some company in a few months.
