My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is the most awesome thing that ever happened on the TV. Go and watch it now.

Better yet, watch this.

For whoever did it, you did a great job, for what it's worth.

I do want the Cutie Marks rules...

This is prime April Fool's fodder. It's well done enough that you could definitely get some one-shot games out of it. Kudos!

One-shot nothing: I'm saving these and using them if I ever run a Pathfinder campaign.

Where's Derpy? Derpy better not be part of a expansion book.

Well ... Missus Turin just said she wants to play one if her current character dies ...

Cutie marks could work like Eberron's Dragonmarks. They should be based off the elements of friendship: Generosity, Honesty, Kindness, Laughter, Loyalty, and Magic.

I'm overthinking this.

~LAUGHTER~

1.) This is pretty much amazing.

2.) Now my wife is hassling me to run a Ponies game...

I'd like to see page 35 as well.

Saedar wrote:

Yours, too?

She's already planning to switch her Cleric to a Unicorn. I'm not sure it's worth my effort to persuade her this is not a good idea...

Where's page 35?! Someone more clever than me get to it.

I'm not sure what it says about me that my first thought upon reading this was that the word "Alignment" is spelled as "Alignement" at least once in the text, and that's just horrible.

A Generosity Cutie Mark works like the Mark of Hospitality

An Honesty Cutie Mark works like the Mark of Finding

A Kindness Cutie Mark works like the Mark of Healing

A Laughter Cutie Mark works like the Mark of Shadow

A Loyalty Cutie Mark works like the Mark of Sentinel

A Magic Cutie Mark works like the Mark of Making

You can take feats to get Least, Lesser, and Greater marks.

Theses aren't perfect fits, but the Eberron concept works surprisingly well. Maybe trade out a few of the spells. You'd have to update the skills affected, too.

Considering the way Cutie Marks in the show are an inherent part of ponies growing up and don't seem to grant any special magic I'd be more inclined to treat them as a trait.

(And it has occurred to me that you are joking. Playing things straight is my method of joking.)

Finally. I now have the means to create the unicorn cohort that my club-wielding barbarian character has always been lacking.

You sir, get +1 for your reference sir.

Long live Uni!

The Lawls. I have them. And I think you have them to me.

I can't say that I have any interest in playing a pony. Hopefully this supplement will also include rules for cutie mark bearing bipeds. Preferably of an ursine nature.

I hate that I noticed this, but...

...the race(s) are all overly-slanted toward spellcasters. The difficulty in making an effective Pony martial character prevents the races from being (seriously) viable.

<sigh>

Now I have to think of something to give them that aids their martial prowess, but is both fair and pony-like.

Keep in mind, their attack bonuses stack...

Spiked barding?

Isn't My Little Pony owned by Hasbro?

Looks like the Edition Wars have a winner--and that winner in Ponyfinder.

Awesome, completely awesome.

Now to figure out what sort of class combinations would synergize best with the ponies.

I like it, since it stays true to the source material rather than making changes to force them into the game.

An early example of teamwork feats, obviously.

I always thought the readied action / successful perception check mechanic was rather dumb however.

+1!

Oh this is just fantastic! I love it!

I did something similar using the race creation rules for Savage Worlds (http://www.cosmiccastle.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=283), but my write-ups are nowhere near as elaborate as those. There's a lot of love in those. Well done!

And if you don't think My Little Pony can be awesome, you need only view it with the right inspiration... such as the German power metal band Blind Guardian...

ROCK ON, EVERYPONY! (headbanging)

Damnit, the more I think about this the more I actually want paizo to make this product. Or maybe a 3pp can pick it up.

Well I think you're all missing the fact that this is technically "Ponyfinder" not "Pathfinder" so we may have to do some conversion here.

Oh and dibs on Pegasus!

Me too, DM. I'd definiately get this. It's not likely that Paizo would do it, even in our wildest dreams. MLP is owned by Hasbro, which also owns WotC. If any MLP game would come out, it would likely be for 4e D&D.

It's ok, though... I plan to get my MLP roleplaying fix next weekend. I'll be running a Call of Cthulhu/My Little Pony mashup adventure at a convention. ^_^

Dammit, the firewall here at work is blocking access to that page, so this thread is just one giant tease. I want to see it so bad! Playable ponies, unicorns, and pegasi? I'm not ashamed to admit I want to play one, even as a 30-something year-old man. Can I play a pink pony?

You're among friends, here, brony. You can play whatever you want. We don't judge. We follow the lessons of friendship and tolerance imparted by the show!

^_^

Definitely! Here's what it says about their colors.

+1 win for the MLP reference. ^_^ Apocalypse Now did it first, by My Little Pony did it better! LOL

Here's the blurb I wrote for the sign-up sheet:

THE PONYVILLE HORROR
By H. P. Hoofcrafty
A Lovecraftian Savage Worlds adventure set in the world of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Madness comes to Ponyville! A mysterious book of ancient magic, the dreaded EQUINOMICON, has been stolen from the Ponyville library. Can a small but brave band of adventurous ponies unravel the mystery behind the theft in time to prevent the coming of the Great Old Ones to Equestria?

^_^

I just realized: we can now run that fantasy classic Pony of the Rings.

The ponies play D&D, so why shouldn't we play ponies?

Once again, Molly displayes a mastery of chaos greater than any protean.

Thanks for the compliment. You flatter me, sir! ^_^

Is there going to be a race of blue people that stand 3 apples high in the same book with the ponies

Hopefully only as a SPFR.

Sweet! And I thought I'd never get to use this for a character portrait....

I'm going to sue you for psychological damage after that... O_o

However though that is simply amazing!

Hmm... Am I wowed, or am I THAT guy?

It's cute.

Reminds me of a certain Warmahordes April Fools faction from a year or two ago. *cough, cough*

Guess I'm THAT guy. Sorry.

Still cute, though.

No need... just use this!

You can't make boy ponies with it, but it's better than nothing!
