A buckler gun is also a buckler, correct? As such, does it always take penalties on its attack due to the buckler always being on that arm?

Also, do you have to buy the buckler separate from the buckler gun, or is it just one item? If it is one item, it can be enchanted as either a shield or a weapon (or both if I pay for both), correct?

I'm thinking not, since the buckler gun is a ranged weapon, and the buckler penalty only applies to light, one-handed, or two-handed weapons.

It's a buckler! It's a gun! It's the BUCKLER GUN!!!

Do bucklers and buckler guns penalize the attack rolls of firearms held with the same arm? What about the buckler gun itself? Does it always take a penalty to its own attacks for "having a buckler on that arm?"

They did have these.

Yes, i think it does always have a penalty. That thing can't be easy to aim...

Why do I care at all for Henry VIII? How is it at all pertinent?

Well, why didn't you just link me directly to the gun, or at least leave the instructions with your initial post?

Well first off i was just doing BNW a favour and putting the link in..so take your complaints about that to him not me.

As per ultimate combat, Buckler Guns are always treated as off hand weapons as per two weapon fighting, even if it's the only weapon you're using.

But does it also take the -1 penalty to attacks for being a buckler?

It specifically says it's an off hand weapon due to it's clumsy construction..so I would say the buckler penalty is already built into that minus..at my tables anyway..other GM's may differ.

I think it answers to your question. You take no penalty from wearing the buckler by shooting with the gun inside - it is though always made as an off-hand weapon, thus subject to huge attack penalties from untrained TWF, and nowhere it says you retain the buckler's bonus to AC if you shoot with it, so you don't.

Where does it say that Max? That was the first thing I looked for before posting.
