In New Orleans, there are no Venture Captains or lodges set up as of yet, and I'd like to know if there is any information present on getting that started.

The requirements to become a Venture-Captain can be found here.

As for a lodge, all you need to do is find some players and start running games! :)

Very interesting. Disappointing that the list doesn't include New Orleans, but understandable given that we don't host many Cons at all here anymore. Stupid fat Katrina. Well, I'm still going to host some events. Thanks for the link, much appreciated.

it's not just cons .. it's overall reporting (if I remember correctly) so as you start hosting be sure to report the games .. as there are more games reported in your area they may take a second look

Oy vey. There's NOTHING in Salt Lake City. And we used to be a HUUUUGE base for LG. Maybe I should start doing stuff (besides the husband doing an OP for another company and game system...).

There are TONS of gamers in Utah, who are just BEGGING for attention!

The list of regions is based solely on where he have seen the most existing activity. If someone wants to see more Pathfinder Society resources (including a possible Venture-Captain) devoted to your region, the best way to do that is to get people playing and reporting lots of PFS tables at conventions, game stores, and private venues like home games.

Can we get more resources in Detroit please? Specifically, please reallocate resources toward cloning Douglas. Thank you.

Are the Regions based on state? Because with Missouri being so big, I could see a region covering the area of southern Illinois, southeast Missouri and even down to Memphis. And I would bet looking at it that way, a lot of reporting comes in, maybe even enough to be its own region.

California has 3 or 4 VC's in the mid-southern half of the state already... I am assuming it's more on what they're seeing quantitywise in terms of play/reporting.

Certainly. It's also dependent on how much existing VCs can handle. If a VC reports to Hyrum that he can't give the service a particular part of the state deserves, either due to geographical distance or the area growing too quickly for him to keep up, we'd consider splitting up a region into smaller, more manageable sections, but we'd still need someone in the new region to step up and meet the same requirements for being a VC as the initial volunteer.
