If you DM 5 slots, you receive a free badge, as well as a free hotel room. The room will house a total of 4 people so you will be sharing with 3 others.

Sovereign Court

make sure you get to play the midnight mauler its a blast

So, have you changed your mind about attending/managing this one? It looks like there will be enough for my friend and I to play most slots and finally break through to the mid-level tiers!

Grand Lodge 4/5

Yep. The staff at ConNooga supported us very well and very much want PFS to be one of their showcase events. Who am I to deny that? :)

Huzzah!

Grand Lodge 4/5

Only 20 games do not have DMs assigned. So, if you plan to DM 5 games to get a free room, grab them quick. All the free hotel rooms will be gone very soon.

Grand Lodge 4/5

10 games still needing DMs. 84 games with DMs assigned!

Grand Lodge 4/5

One of our DMs backed out so we have 16 tables now needing a DM.

Just give in to the temptation. The rewards are very satisfying :) And, we get to split running some Midnight Mauler if you like.

I just need to raise $420 to make the trip comfortably. I should be able to raise that before I need to make the trip down there. I'll need to take Thurs off to drive down there, and friday which is normally a half day for me. I should have an answer for you tomorrow night.

Also TwilightKnight, are you anywhere near Kzoo, MI? If so, I could use a wingman to get down there and split gas with.

Sounds good. Hope you are able to make it. Just make sure to sign up on the Warhorn site, whether DMing, playing, or both.

Got PTO cleared with my boss. Question on the room, will the room coverage cover thursday night? I'll be driving down on Thursday since it's an 11 hour drive from Kalamazoo, MI.

I'll be signing up on warhorn as soon as I get home, since my work blocks that page.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Yes, I have a few rooms that are for Thurs, Fri and Sat nights, and another few rooms for Fri and Sat nights.

You are all set :) Thanks for jumping on board to DM so many games. Hopefully you can find another person or two to ride down with you.

I love to run, being a player has always been secondary for me, and honestly after 13 years of GMing, it feels wierd being a player now.

If Twilight doesn't reply to this by mid-april, I'll harrass him in person at Marmaladedog 16.

So...is that a no, you don't live anywhere near Kalamazoo, MI, and don't want to drive down to SIEGE with me? *He says not really wanting to make an 11 hour drive solo*

Another question, are the rooms already reserved and I'll show up and you'll tell me where to dump my clothes, or do I need to get in contact with the hotel and setup reservations and you reimburse me?

*realizes living next door to the convention is really, really nice.

The convention coordinator will be blocking off six rooms for me. Three of these will be for Thurs-Sat nights and three will be for Fri0Sat nights.

All DMs will have their names given to the front desk, and upon arrival, you give them your name and they give you a room key. No deposit and no money will be owed or expected by you at all.

Same applies for registration. You give them your name and they hand you a badge.

Ok, I think I have my slots solid now and I shouldn't be touching them from now on. I left one slot open so that I could explore what sounds like my first full blown con. 90 tables compared to my local cons 15-20 sounds like a bit of a difference :)

Depending on how this goes, I may make dicehead an annual pilgrimage. This year, and for next year Cons I intend to attend.

April: Marmalade Dog (FREE!!! I live next door and GM)
May: Dicehead SIEGE ($420)
June: Origins (?) & PaizoCon ($1318*)
August: GenCon ($1000*)

Unfortunately all of these are subject to affordability. Though Dicehead is only running me roughly $420 budgeted total.

*Not including any GM discounts or room mates

I know there was talk in other threads about people traveling together. I'm looking for anyone in or near the Kalamazoo, MI region that would like to make the trip to Dicehead with me. 11 hours solo driving does not sound like fun. Anyone interested?

For the record, my vehicle is a 2008 Toyota Yaris. It will seat 4 comfortably, not sure if all of our stuff would fit in the trunk with 4 people, but I can seat that many. It also gets about 30 mpg, 300 miles to the tank. Estimating total cost there and back gas wise to be about $150. If you have a better, cheaper car I'm more than for helping with the driving.

Scarab Sages

Really do want to attend but I can't get on to Warhorn website due to the server blocking it, but hopefully I will be able to get into some games when I get there. Wish me luck.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Chris,
I just checked and the Warhorn site is up and running. What problem are you having getting in and signing up? If nothing else, email me and I can register you and place you in games you are interested in. My email is mbrock@georgiapfs.org

And just in case you needed to retry the link, it is http://warhorn.net/2011-siege-pfs/

Friend of mine was having a devil of a time getting Warhorn to work a couple of weeks ago. Following the link you provided in the OP works, following the link from a Yahoo search or from the Con's main page and it would never let you sign in or sign up for games. I thought it was just him, but he'll be relieved to know it wasn't, I guess.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Don't use the Con's main page for the link. Click on the RPG/misc tab to the right, and you will see PFS at the top. You can either click the logo or the link included.

I believe that I mentioned a carpool to Dicehead in another thread. I am seriously considering this Con. What time frame are you looking at arriving. I wouldn't want to sign up for anything before I/we arrived.

I live in Lafayette IN, a bit north of Indy, close to a pretty direct line from Kalamazoo to Chattanooga. Your car is much better than my truck (F150) on gas :). Is this workable?

That may work perfectly. I may be stopping in Gary to grab either Thea or TwilightKnight. If I end up grabbing both of them, I'd be running into space issues with just my car alone. Though, if only Thea, or TK comes my car alone would be able to handle a stop in Lafayette. Further, I believe both Thea and TK have a decent vehicle and what we could end up doing is just caravaning with 2 cars. Bottom line, you're in the calculation as far as I'm concerned because you're only an hour out of the way if I were just to drive solo to Chattanooga. Once TK and Thea know what they're doing, we'll be able to nail down certainties.

Oh, and I plan on leaving Thursday about 6am from kzoo, and driving back Sunday night after the con ends. Time and sleep management is going to be the name of my game this con.

OK i'm in. Should be a blast. Depending on the route that's chosen I may be able to adjust my pick-up spot to avoid being out of the way. :) I'll choose some slots on warhorn tonight/morning.

Thea, I don't think he realizes he'll be trapped in a car for several hours with TWO gnomes.

EDIT: My "normal" route not including if Thea or TK through IN is going to be SR-13 and then after Indianapolis I-65. So, if you want to find a place to ditch your car along there somewhere, I'm cool with it. An hour out of my way really isn't that big a deal, especially since you'd be taking over the driving after I pick you up! LOL

Looking at the map, Kokomo I remember is a pretty good "Oasis" from driving, maybe see if there is a car pool lane there or something to pick you up. Once, again this route is entirely dependent on my fellow gnome and GM's

@Cactus-Jack
Route information using google maps.

Solo (I don't pick you up) 614mi 10.97 hr.

CJ (I get you) 685mi 11.66 hr
-Kzoo to Lafayette 206 mi, 3.63 hrs.
-Lafayette to Chattanooga 479 mi, 8.03 hrs.

You're only 40 minutes out of my way, so picking you up is not an issue. I'll just need your address to plug into my phone's GPS. My email is Daniel[dot]luckett[at]gmail[dot]com. I figure we'll split the driving from your place forward.

@Everyone else.
I have room for one more person to comfortably fit in my car. If you're along our route, or not too far off of it, I do not mind stopping to grab another person.

Can I get a 'Dislike' button for this post? :(
Does it cheer you up to hear that I'm not going either? :-)

With Thea, TK, and you not going, I just want to rage. I was hoping to meet you folks well before GenCon!

/And yes, I will be fatigued when I quit raging.

Had a nightmare last night that Cactus-Jack decided last minute he didn't want to go anymore as I'm picking him up, then I get down to Chattanooga and I realized I forgot to pack my gaming supplies (Dice, minis, maps, modules, etc.), and then I'm so stressed I couldn't sleep at all during the con, and have to drive up home sunday night with 3 days of no sleep and no co-pilot.

Needless to say, I woke up in a sweat. Worst gaming related nightmare ever! Also reminded me that I still need to finish prepping for M-Dog.
