I was writing a detailed analysys of my chosen locations, but since the message board monster just ate my post I´ll sum it up. In order of preference, my votes went to:

Jerall Toi's Old Cassomir Dollhouse: this round's best entry, very well presented. Creepy in the best way possible.

Sean McGowan's Rotting Kremlin: some great stuff here with the Koschei guy. I really like the story about the dominated village, and the draping of the tower due declaring a year of mourning. Althouh Hoarfrost is not the BBEG, tha encounter seems like it would be fun and interesting.

Sam Zeitlin's Black Mirror: the tar lake is great. There are some issues with the entry, but all in all it´s a fascinating location. The backtory is a little too much, but it´s great that there´s so much at stake, and the expanding blackness is actually a scary menace. Since I didn´t like Voracek at all, I think this entry did a good job in grabbing my interest.

My last vote was very hard to decide. I ended up going with Cody Cofelt's Broken Crucible Foundry, since I enjoyed the idea of a run-down factory creating faulty tool; it fit well with his chosen villain. I like the chase, but I don´t like that it takes place outside the main location.

I voted for:

Cody Coffelt — The Broken Crucible Foundry
Jerall Toi — The Old Cassomir Dollhouse
Sam Zeitlin — The Black Mirror
Trevor Merback — Razorbreath Chasm

I have to stick with my first two choices.........
Red Snow Ravine and The Broken Crucible Foundry. Red Snow has the potential for some tricky play and I just like old run-down factories.

Thanks to Ethan and Cody for putting some new ideas forward - for us all to chew on.

I voted for Cody Coffelt's Broken Crucible Foundry and Jerall Toi's Old Cassomir Dollhouse because their locations were close to what I would've done had I gotten through to this round. Sam Zeitlin's The Black Mirror was just all kinds of awesome and an encounter I could easily see ending up in a PFS scenario set near Nex, or Geb, or in the Mana Wastes/Alkenstar.

Now I thank all the Top 8 who chose Hoarfrost for their villain, but of the 3 I chose Trevor Merback's Razorbreath Chasm as my favorite. I've been voting for Trevor every step of the competition and can't wait to see his adventure proposal. Leap on Gnome, leap on!

I hope the fact that I'm not casting a fourth vote isn't taken as a slight to the other five contestants (I actually had to give this a lot of thought because I feel that several of the other Round 4 entries are quite good). But looking at everyone's body of work these three guys are clear favorites for me and I'm crossing my fingers for all of them to be around in round 5.

+1

Not strictly in this order, but theses are may picks too. Also, these votes are based on R4 only, and not taking body of work into consideration.

With three points each for writing, fun to play, and understandable/cool map (playability being the tie breaker :) I had two ties for first and two for second. Fortunately that means I had an easy vote this round. :)

Zeitlen, The Black Mirror
Coffelt, Broken Crucible Foundry
Merback, Razorbreath Chasm
McKowen, The Rotting Kremlin

Congratulations to all 8!

Thanks Tikael. Looks like 3, 4, & 5 are close so we could see some change up from these exit polls.

I love a good race!

I voted for (in order):

Jerall Toi — The Old Cassomir Dollhouse - because it was far-and-away the best this round, no doubt

Sean McGowan — The Rotting Kremlin - because there's some really nice design-descisions and background-stuff that went into this one (the "I'm a widower now" baited me in, and the split-the-party hedges sold me)

Sam Zeitlin — The Black Mirror - because it looks fun to run, fun to play, and I appreciate the way developments were handled (and epic background dude!)

John Bennett — Apep's Head - because while it has some pretty harsh problems (not the least of which is it reminded me of X-Men villains), I want to encourage this level of creativity and see more out of John

I almost put my 4th vote on Razorbreath Chasm (nice visuals, seems workable). The other 3 didn't even register to me; seemed boring.

And because in every round so far the last classified in the polls got the boot I hope the chasm leapfrogs the dollhouse and get to the next round.
