Scarab Sages

nekkid miniblitzing!!!

Scarab Sages

Damn! You would know that the boy just stirred.

Scarab Sages

But it appears mom-in-law is getting him back down.

Scarab Sages

What is it with these old women and their ability to put any child to sleep in mere minutes just by holding and rocking them.

Maybe a covert vulcan neck pinch?

Scarab Sages

Mmmm....bacon.

Scarab Sages

Mmmm...Dr. Pepper

Scarab Sages

Breakfast of Champions!!!

My wife's aunt has a golden labrador that is huge. This dog easily clears 150 lbs. Maybe even more.

I think he's part bear.

Scarab Sages

Last night was the final one to be spent sleeping at my in-laws house. The rest of the visit we'll sleep at my parent's place. Five nights at one house, 5 at the other. Balance! That's how I roll.

Scarab Sages

It's also how I try to role.

Scarab Sages

Beautiful day here in Louisiana. Sunny, if not a bit cool.

Scarab Sages

I must try to get some boiled crawfish before I leave. It's the one goal I've yet to achieve.

Jude got the Fisher Price Zoo for Christmas and thinks it is the coolest thing evar! ;)

Scarab Sages

Not sure what I'm going to do today (other than the aforementioned quest for crawfish).

We do have a bunch of stuff to ship back to Philly.

Scarab Sages

So much for "Please don't get Charlie anything too big."

I am planning on building terrain all weekend to prep for whenever I run part 3 of Jade Regent, besides what better weekend to make snow terrain then New Year's!

Sweet!

Last night, while at my parent's for my dad's 70th birthday party, my cousin pulled out an old photo album from when his parent's got married and when he was born (mid 70s).

One picture showed me playing with a Little People Sesame Street Playset. My parents still have that playset and all the grandkids have played with it so far, except Charlie (yet).

Scarab Sages

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Not sure when I'll get to play again. :(

Exactly! At least we had a car for the drive home, but it wasn't easy to get everything in it.

I refer to this as the mythical someday!

Scarab Sages

Looking forward to a hot shower this morning. My ribs are hurting again.

I suppose I should see if I can find some more of the animals for the zoo this weekend, I might be spoiling him a little.

Luckily, with mom-in-law managing a Hallmark store, we at least get access to some boxes to pack stuff in. Still, it's the one thing I hate about flying down for Christmas.

Meh, a little spoiling doesn't hurt.

Scarab Sages

One of Sarah's aunts got Charlie a spring/summer time onsie with a dragon on it. Luckily, it's an 18 monther, so will probably be ready to fit him when the weather starts warming up.

Scarab Sages

Have I mentioned how awesome it was to watch the Monday night football game that just passed? Saint's whooping the Falcons! And I got to watch it with someone (my sis-in-law) who actually enjoys watching football.

True, and I am still the bad parent that makes him go to sleep most nights, no matter how much he cries or stands in his crib and says "down" in the most sad pathetic voice.

Scarab Sages

Not to mention Drew Brees breaking Marino's 27 year old passing record.

I've gotten pretty good at that as well. Just set him down and let him cry himself to sleep a bit. He's usually out cold in about 10 minutes.

PBPs are all caught up. Today's activity - 3 hour kayak tour. Temperature is slightly cooler - mid-seventies but I'm not complaining.

Enjoy the little ones AZ and Justin.

AZ:

Any updates on Lebreton's impending arrival?

What is really amazing is that there are 3 QBs that could break that record this weekend (although obviously Brees will have the new record).

Scarab Sages

Of course, this trip has really messed with Charlie's sleeping patterns. But that's kinda cool. I've been considering pushing his bedtime back from 6:30 to about 7:30 anyway.

Yea, he almost never makes it past the end of the mobile music which is 20 minutes and often he last much less then that.

Spoiler:
Still waiting on the impending. They had a doctor visit yesterday, and the doc said a little more time. She's still about 2 weeks from her official due date, so they want to push it as long as possible.

Yeah, I was reading that Brady's expected to get over Marino's record (projected around 5,200), but Brees is projected to get to around 5,400. Who's the third? Rodgers?

Scarab Sages

And, of course, this is the second time in his career that Brees has passed for over 5000 yards in a regular season. Marino did that as well.

Scarab Sages

And, apparently, the Saints have a chance to set the all time total offensive yardage this season as well.

Scarab Sages

All right, folks. Time for my mini blitz to end. Gotta go start the day.

Yea, Rodgers, he probably won't break Marino's record as well, but he only needs 350 to break 5000 as well.

I liked that movie.

I did too.

The wife and I are going to see it sometime in the next week.

I wish I could sleep. Four hours is not cutting it.

Last nights game went pretty good. Party ran up against a Kamadan. Module was written for a Displacer Beast, but I switched it to the Bestiary 3 Kamadan. The Kamadan got sneak charge Pounce on one of the Rogue's and in one round took him down to 2 HP. The Witch cast his Sleep Hex on it and it failed the Will save so the party surrounded it and Coup'de Grace'd it. But it was fun anyway.

The Exchange

Staggers in with face red with congestion, breathe wheezy.

Hey. Everyone have a good Christmeas?

You look a little under the weather, friend.

Cool. What are you running?

EDIT: naked cool?
