I dont understand how anyone could dislike this show. Its a bit dry at times, but its hilarious.I'm also a big fan of Dawn of the Peck from season five, which totally nails turkeys.Okay: S4:E5 Turkey in a Can is actually really sweet.

I find it hit or miss.
Some of it's dry. Some of it's gross. Some of it's weird. Some of it's mixed. Some of it's silly. Some of it's sarcastic. Some of it's heartwarming. Some of it's sweet. Some of it's pleasant.
One of the problems, I think, is that it sometimes tries to have conflicting things at same time.
It's like food flavors. Sometimes, there are two different great foods, but they don't go well together. Sometimes, of course, seemingly different flavors can go well together, but sometimes they don't.
And, most importantly, different people have different tastes. Things that taste good (or are funny) to one are definitely not to another.
So I can understand. Even when I really like something, I can understand when someone doesn't. I disagree with them in that I like it, even though they do not, but I don't think they are "wrong" to feel that way - it's just a personal preference.

Huh, sounded a lot like my old martial arts school.
It was great... until we moved two hours away, and couldn't make the trip more than once a month, and we had to go to a different one.

Well, I just signed up for Blue Apron, with the ideas being that:
Providing a wider variety of foodstuffs to Impus Minor might encourage him to eat better,
Compared to food around here, we're likely to save money over shopping for groceries, which is just sad, and
I will be having the Impii help me cook the dinners, teaching them a wide variety of skills and cuisines. They're so enthusiastic about this idea right now that they've already asked whether they can try cooking some of the meals themselves. Yeah... er... we'll see how THAT goes.
Anyway, first delivery is on Tuesday, September 27.
We'll see whether reality comes anywhere close to expectations...
So, how soon do you except the Impish enthusiasm to wane?

I know he's not, because it's Tac, but coming up right after Freehold and Aranna's back and forth, it's pretty darn funny.

The only rattlesnake I've ever encountered on a trail had its mouth full of mouse at the time, and was therefore unable to threaten me. It moved on, I moved on, and we were both the happier for it.

I found a baby timber rattlesnake when I was working on tearing out a yard, little guy made super adorable little *pings* when he attacked my shovel and tried vainly to bite through my steeltoe boots.
We let him free on the adjacent golf course. :-)

We let him free on the adjacent golf course. :-)

Should have checked that leak on the street. Should have called about that negative balance on the utility bill. Now we get to see how much water the city charges us on the next bill, because it was just to the right of the city's responsible area and just inside ours. :/

Another player is taking over and we are going to be playing 5th Edition after that.
God help me, I read the PHB...and...I really...really...really like it. It's just so streamlined and simple! It's like Pathfinder for Dummies!

I'm glad you like the look of 5e! I find bounded accuracy cool, but underwhelming. It. Ales me feel like there isn't enough of a skill improvement from first to twentieth (or beyond) skill. But I know many disagree - and there is much to like about the system, as well! So good luck and good gaming!

The friend dutifully got a fake I.D., showed up at the testing site, and, in a classic moment of ad lib, when the tester looked curiously at the I.D. and asked the Aryan, "Dhruv?", he responded in a thick Indian accent, "What are you, racist or something?"
The tester immediately let it drop, he got a respectable 1530, and Dhruv got into U.C. Berkeley...
...only to flunk out in under 2 years because, gee... it's not just getting in that's hard. It's the classes, too!

Yes. The administration mandated that half the student body flunk out of school every semester. Rather impressive.
My father, being chaotic good, gave his classes a 3.0 GPA and ignored the note. Being the chair of his own department, he did not choose to discipline himself.
Me, being Lawful Good, gave my classes whatever GPA they'd actually earned (usually between 2.3 and 2.7, depending on the class) and dutifully wrote the note.
But boy, did we get into fights on that one!
Father: "You should just ignore the policy and do what's right!"
Son: "But the policy is WRONG! We need to educate the administration and get them to change it!"
And that is when you learn about tilting at windmills. NO administrator wants to be the one who's "soft on grades".
