The upside to being discreet, honest and super casual with management at work is I get to learn things without having to sign NDA's or anything.

There is no downside.

Great! Now everyone can see my chassis! At least I'm not at work, that would be awkward.

Not that I would care.

Is that rust?

I'd be a bit worried if it isn't.

The Almighty Johnsons:
So, you know... it makes sense that Dawn doesn't trust Ty.

I'm... actually glad they addressed that. Her suspicion and fear makes a lot of sense, and I'm glad that she's actually being intelligent - paranoid, yeah, but intelligent about the whole thing.

I'm sorry she's hurt. But it makes sense - and I like that characterization, even if I want something better.

I guess Dorothy will just have to lube me up then. ;-)

Does that exist?

I don't know, and even if I did, I wouldn't Google the term, and even if I did, I wouldn't be able to find out that yes, it does.

And apparently you get a 'free panty' with it as well, which is presumably a pair of knickers with only one leg-hole.

This is America! Anything can be turned into a sexy costume.

New phone. Walked in the door with 45 bucks. Got a 40 dollar phone which, after taxes and activation and stuff, would've been 57 bucks, but I was like "I have 45 dollars cash with me" and the guy called his boss and got me a deal. :-D

What if you were allowed to post three times max in any thread in the advice, rules, general discussion forums. You know the ones where the pointless arguments live.

Obviously OTD, Forum games and PbP would be excluded as flamewars do not occur here...Just a thought

I'd be sad.

But it isn't a bad idea, per se.

Ummmmmm . . . . I may just like the font of my own typing a bit too much, but a 3-post maxcap would be far too little. Open-ended discussions/conversations are the best ones to have.

I never claimed it was a good thought 8>), I was just envisioning the many threads that can be solved in 10 posts or less yet go on into the hundreds

The General has been abundantly clear I'm not to wear her panties.

Frankly, I can't pull them off anyways, fashionably speaking.

It's funny -- I've had the very same thought.

I post once to state my initial thoughts.

I post a second time because my first post is horrifically unclear/misinterpreted.

If necessary, I post a third time.

At that point, I find that I've said everything I have to say and I mosey off.

Especially if Chris sees fit to delete one of my posts.
(Which is particularly entertaining because the ONLY thing I remember about it is that it had to do with 10' poles, and Tammy popped in to tell me that SHE had a 10' pole... tells you how much I had invested in that particular thread...)

In high school we called it word jacking, arguing just because they could. :-)

Most of the pictures from the camping trip were pretty boring, but I felt these three summed up the trip pretty well: Kids in the tent, Milton burl, and Impus Major in his "morning clothes".

A thread solved in 10 posts or less?? Where is this fairyland of which you speak??!!

So far, I've only been part of one trainwreck thread, with another near-miss or two. Chris may have semi-officially reprimanded me and a handful of others in that delayed threadlock, but I had a blast with it. So . . . y'know, shame on me for derailing, but there were a number of us that could be . . . praised (??) . . . for attempting to detox a nasty, nasty thread . . . .

I readily grant that, often, only a handful of posts are necessary to provide condensed, relevant answers/responses, but . . . I guess it's just that I like a good conversation. I'm proud of myself, a little bit -- I haven't posted in any of the political threads in weeks.

'Cause . . .:
(paraphrased) ". . . Bible-believing Christians are dumb," and that's not a "fight" I'm here for.
And that's a pretty solid step in a better direction, for me.

Is NH the only one of us that would be able to easily adapt to such a scenario, though? Sure, cap'n's got a bajillion aliases, so he's set, and maybe Tac could cope just by fave-ing, . . . but, man . . . .

Hmmmmmm.

Tomorrow, I am going to see ex-Lady Longears, bearing with me a can of Spam for the cat and something which is either a toy monkey or a toy sheep for the dog.

I'm not sure what will happen. Either I'll have a nice time walking in the sunshine or we'll have a big argument at the top of a hill.

Right. Nevermind: she's not Frigg.

The Almighty Johnsons:

Gaia just incarnated as the goddess and immediately went for Anders/Bragi, dropping Axl and the others like hotcakes. And it makes sense, sort of... but, uh... yeah.

This feels like a tremendously out-of-character moment for her.

I don't know how else to describe it. "Stupid" - yeah, okay.

:/

EDIT: I mean... wow. What a terrible line to end Season two on.

Good morning folks.

Finally had a shift at the second job last night. I missed a shift because of the cough and fever, but I made it to the meeting on Wednesday which was good. Shift was awesome, wandered East Village for several hours hitting the usual spots with a new guy. I tired a bit easily due to still being under the weather, but I would say I am upper 80's, low 90's with respect to being myself.

I stopped watching after that. My wife kept watching. She described the VERY END of the series as dumb, but also incredibly sweet.

The first episode will tell you whether it's your cup of tea. It starts off strong and never lets up.

I'm pretty sure we're watching it on Hulu.

Oh, and why Freehold should move to the Bay Area.

It does sound familiar, same with the pirate one, One Piece or something, they actually have a lot of anime, maybe this fall or [redacted].

I think that the short answer to that question is 'yes'

They were at a farm, which was also an aquarium. We were going to go in and have a cup of tea and look at the fish, but they wouldn't let us in with the dog, so ELL just did a bit of free-range pig-tickling instead before we went home .

How to turn "Free range pig tickling" into sexual innuendo, that's the eternal question.
