I sneeze in your general direction.

No wonder I'm cold.

What are you fools doing up at this ungodly hour? I know why I am, but you all? I thought you worked normal hours so you have to keep a normal schedule.

Clearly we are awake because we are fools.

So it seems. I am just a fool that is on the 11 pm to 7 am shift until December 24th. yay.

I was sound asleep until the sneezing and coughing started.

That's my normal shift.

Not mine. I just cover for the other two people when they are on vacation. Being the low man, can you guess who never gets Thanksgiving or Christmas off?

I like this kid!

Thank god yesterday is over! The busiest day of the year, even busier than Thanksgiving day (without any huge sales even). We averaged over 17k in sales every hour, I'm exhausted.

At least I got to hug a bunch of Koala Bears. :-)

And today I find out that you can indeed cough so hard that you puke. I just love my learning experiences while sick.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Go to bed at early time because sick. Be unable to fall asleep because of cough. Get up and do things until morning. Go to sleep after the dawn breaks and sleep until the sunset...

That nocturnal schedule seems to be sticking to me whatever I try to do...

Been there done that. This week even. I had the first-hand knowledge that it is possible before, though.

Caboose is my hero.

Caboose: "So Tucker is the Fighter, Crunchbite is the healer, and I am the powerful - and intelligent! - wizard. Morphumax."

Andy: "Well what am I then?"

Caboose: "You are the stealthy and attractive archer!"

Andy: "A bow and arrow?! I don't have any arms!"

Caboose: "That's what makes you so stealthy! This will be the best party ever."

Tucker: "I'm gonna !(*@^in' die."

Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, coughed so hard I puked on the t-shirt.

I have asthma. It's not bad; most of the time I don't need an inhaler, although it's one of the reasons I hate exercise, and when I did work out it was low impact, like yoga or walking.

That being said, usually when I get sick, after the cold itself goes away, my asthma goes nuts and I get acute bronchitis, and I cough like crazy for about a month after, because most of my adult life I've been too poor to afford insurance while simultaneously too well off (somehow) to get free healthcare of any sort.

It gets a little bodily fluidy here:
And you know when you get that mucus in your chest where if you cough too hard it doesn't move, but you can feel it move when you cough lightly, so you try to cough hard but with less air, just to get it out...do that enough and you'll puke. But all you want is to just get that crud out of your chest...ugh...You can feel it when you breathe. I hate it!

Currently split between Church, Tex, Lopez, and Grif as my favorite, though nearly everything Caboose says and does is either hilarious, immensely quotable, or both.

Though Washington is petty dang entertaining in his own right in just how fed up he gets with Red and Blue's nonsense. "Are ALL of you people insane?"

Latest favorite quote is a bit of a spoiler:
"My name is Leonard Church, and YOU WILL FEAR MY LASER FACE!!"

Next time, don't mix it with so much cat hair. I've found that helps.

Everybody knows it's 3 parts Scotch, 1 part cat hair, with a dash of bitters. Anything beyond that and you get what you deserve.

Can I substitute dog hair for cat hair, the nearest cats are in the Don Bluth shed.

I'm just not sure that's a place I want to venture in the winter, seems like it could get... dark.

Fortunately, it's just the flu, not an allergy to Scotch.

That was obviously the fever talking. Church is my hero/spirit animal.

And what is a spironolactone, which was a word suggested by my autocorrect in place of 'spirit'?

After a quick Google check years of eye-straining medical research, I've discovered that it's a prescription drug, used for blood pressure, congestive heart failure, excessive hairiness (wait, what?), a word I'll never spell correctly, and swelling.

The word I'm too out of it to write properly is a hormonal disorder that causes high blood pressure.

The drug itself is an "antimineralocorticoid" which is a kind of diuretic medicine having to do with a few more things that I really don't want to find a way to copy/paste. But it antagonizes one of them!

And now you're (poorly) educated!

*the more you know song*

I might expand on World Of Aliens idea by writing a blurb for Envoy: The Augmented about humans that were hand picked by aliens to serve as their agents on Earth.
