Should have brought a good camera. Getting to see DIY, No Way Jose, and other NXT guys is pretty awesome anyway.

Are you confusing priceless with worthless again?

Pazzazz! That's not even a real word! (Though pizzazz is, learn how to spell!) Envy!?! Not for 2.99 a pound!

So, exactly how are these designer apples any different than normal apples? Aside from the marketing.

Designer apples have little alligators embroidered on the pocket.

Yeah, that was a bit of a fiasco. And who knew silver tape cost that much!

Surely all apples (bar crab-apples) are 'designer' apples, in that they've been bred to be that way? Possible we're getting into Designer Fliming Bacycle territory here, so I'll shut up, but before I do, Pazzazz Apples sounds like some super new post-ironic Flamenco/Happy Hardcore/Doom-Polka crossover duo, from Portland (Oregon).

A local nun got into trouble recently. She wouldn't stop sneaking into the other nuns' wardrobes and spraying shaving foam on their clothes. She had been warned to stop, but just couldn't. It turns out that prank is habit foaming.

Also, one of my friends checked himself into rehab last night. His addiction is most strange: he sculpts small animals from clay. Well, just one animal over and over. We should have seen it coming, but honestly, who would have thought sculpting hares was rabbit forming?

I meant to respond to that first build post you made, Tac, but I passed out before I finished the reply, and then life happened.

So: you're looking for a build that has at least gotten to the first level of the PrC, right? Or to build *as* a "straight class"? I think I missed a cue on that point from your first post, and I didn't delve into the re-posts very thoroughly . . . .

And speaking of build submissions: I haven't heard back from Heshvaun on that mesmerist I cooked up for him. Where's he been? Freehold? Know anything??

hes probably been at work. He did wish me a happy may 4th. Although I wished it to him FIRST.

How... are these getting worse?!

I mean, I'm still actually laughing at each one, but I really have no idea how they keep getting worse than where they started...

Because of a cascade failure in our collective mental discipline. That's how.

EDIT: But they are funny. Double-shame on me. :D

*yawns* 'Morning, all. That's because a chain of puns have half-lives. The "funniness" decays exponentially, with each being half a funny as the one before. This is why a series of puns rapidly goes from funny to painful.

How do you get the Bass player off your front porch?

Pay them for the pizza!

So, this is a new tactic to ensure that the delivery people get paid?

It turns out we have a Hobby Lobby on the east side.

Which was basically a mega sized Ben-Franklin.

Bookface drama -- and a big difference in religion and politics -- just cost me two wedding guests.

I can't help remembering a lengthy interview with Daryl Davis I heard, in which he explains how he -- a black man -- managed to reform several KKK 'grand wizards' simply by maintaining long-term friendships with them. Surely if Mr. Davis can do that, I can be extra-super-polite with a couple of old high school friends...

But honestly, I'm not sure that I even care about losing these two guests.

Rainy and cold again today. :)

Had a transition meeting at the school the kidlet will be going to next year, so I had to dress presentable (recognizably not pajamas), so I went with my stealth nerd outfit. It looks totally normal, basic mom uniform, but everything has geeky patterns semi-hidden. Tardis scarf, Revenclaw cardigan, dragon earrings. And knee-high wellies so I could splash in puddles in the parking lot. My inner child thinks I pulled off this adult disguise pretty well! ;P

I buy flowers for my desk every week because it cheers me up to see them. This week I got ranunculus, which are holding up surprisingly well. Apparently the cats do not find these flowers tasty. :)

I just found out that an old (girl)friend has cancer. I am treating her to lunch and then Guardians of the Galaxy 2. She is good people and we parted on friendly terms.

Hah! The kidlet came home from school and apparently his umbrella broke most spectacularly on the way home. The spring that let it open and close totally sprinted sproinged and now the umbrella part is parallel to the handle. :D

Edit: Autocorrect is out of control! Again! And apparently I can't turn it off! :(

Our dog's second favorite pastime (besides chasing squirrels) is to sit in the yard ala Ferdinand and sniff the flowers. :-)

He's got the relaxed pose with sidelong glance down perfect too. :-)

I've never had a dog that liked flowers, but I had one when I was growing up that was crazy about veggies. He would steal all the green beans out of the garden if he could get at them. :)

I wish she gets well. I've had some cases of cancer in my family and now they are healthy and fine, so I hope her case is one of those.

One of my aunts suffered a kind of cancer that usually has a 95% chance of being lethal. She got it extirpated in time and she didn't even need to take chemotherapy. So even if thinks look grim everything can be better than it seems.

Tch.

Typical. We arrive at the farewell party and Mommy has to take eldest to the potty, but they're done pretty quickly. Then, just as we sit to eat, I get called to potty. It's the long one. Sigh.

Sorry it took me so long to get back on-line. My laptop seems to have an issue with my hotspot's wireless connection. I just did the direct connection via USB and it's working much better now.
