So if you order a bread bowl with a marinara sauce aren't you really just ordering pizza with pasta as a topping?

So, what did people think of the Star Wars 8 trailer?

Here it is, if you missed it.

Also, huh, Joakim is my age. I am not sure if I should feel old or young...

I remember seeing him (for the second time) at a festival, customs/airport had taken/lost his trademark plate top; so he asked a guy from the audience to borrow his & took the guy backstage for the performance.

EDIT 3: And yeah, I could mention it to NobodysWife and get a really nice one. But I'm really hoping to inherit an old one. I really irritate my co-workers by carrying around nothing but outdated electronics. I can't have them starting to respect me for carrying something new...

I worked for eight months in smartphone servicing company in UK. After returning to Poland, I held to my old Sony Ericsson for three more years until its battery is almost no longer functioning, it's screen anti-reflexive coverage is falling away... I got a smartphone from a friend two months ago but still haven't got to replacing my SIM card with microSIM fitting the smartphone. The smartphone acts as a book-reader and an occasional photo camera instead of phone.
That was me, up until my dad bought himself a new one, just so I could inherit his old one, because it irritated him that my wife and I didn't text.
Well, my old Sony Ericsson was perfectly suitable for texting (still is, battery issues aside). My parents don't do texting, though, they insist on calling :/
We could hypothetically text, but it was terrible, and cost money, and we hated it, so always disabled that extra cost. And everyone wanted to know why we didn't send more pictures.
Huh... Texting and sending pictures are two different things...

Yes and no.

While they are different in that you can send them in different ways, it's a whole lot more convenient to be able to take pictures with your phone and send those to someone else... if your phone doesn't take lousy pictures and it doesn't cost money to do so, and it's not a hassle to make happen every time.

Texting, on the other hand, has rather handily combined picture taking and sending with the texting services to allow a nice, single system to handle all those common communication... things. Simply take a picture, and send it. Or flip through a convenient list and send several.

My flip phone didn't work that way. It took terrible pictures. That I could send one at a time. Each of which cost additional money. And took a long time to load. And were a hassle to send in the first place. And it couldn't see most of them that were sent to us, anyway.

Basically, getting home and spending the time to upload all of our pictures every day was silly. Meanwhile, if I left my texting service on, I'd be inundated with pictures that cost us money that my phone couldn't keep or see anyway. Hence.

I think after seeing it I'm going to be way more involved and less hard on my kids.

Hopefully that'll head off any despotism, and the need for one of them to hunt their parents down, one epic space battle at a time.

Sorry, Freehold. Not a fanboy. Just awed by the simplicity of the exchange. A refreshing difference from the long, drawn-out Clone Wars combats.

We saw Sabaton in concert on a Wednesday night, and not only was it awesome, but Joakim had the giggles throughout. It really kind of messed with his "tough guy" image, but he was utterly adorable. "I can't believe you all have so much energy on a Wednesday night. What's wrong with you people? Don't you have jobs?!?!? Don't you need to go home?!?!?"

He was... awesomeness.

Sorry, nope. I was an '80s punker from roughly 1984-1992. That would be... 30 years ago.

Good, good. Not much to tell, hence not posting super regularly. I'm playing in a Firefly game, with the type of fanboi that'd drive FHDM insane. But it's the GM's first game ever & the other player is cool.

Aw, niiiiice! Are you using the Margret WeissmAn Firefly RPG system, or the old Serentity system?

Going to be off-line for a while. About to go pick up my mother's glucometer test strips from her pharmacy. And, it's raining. Just because.
