Niza feels a short blast of fear. Albis flaps his wings and hovers over her shoulder, ready to escape. However, very shortly after seeing the creature, Albis settles back on her shoulder and the fear dissipates. Seeing the creature attacking her friend, grabs the handle of her club with both hands and swings hard at the demon.

Dropping the cold-iron weapon, he turns about face and takes off!

Good news, you don't have to drop your weapon. Bad news, the earlier attack hit. You take 1 nonlethal damage and have been poisoned again... Fort Save DC 13 or take 1d2 ⇒ 1 dex damage.

As LazyGar flees the terrifying demon, it swipes at him again with its poison dripping claws. But the half-elf is just too quick, darting out of reach and bolting down the street.

A bolt of pure energy launches out of Kasvot's pointed finger before the words that invoked it are barely out of his mouth. It flies true and smashes into the little creature.

Kasvot takes a small step back to create space.

Dimple sees the elven warrior running toward her. She casts a spell and shouts out before he can get too far, "Hey, Lampshade! The fight is this way."

Remove Fear: You instill courage in the subject, granting it a +4 morale bonus against fear effects for 10 minutes. If the subject is under the influence of a fear effect when receiving the spell, that effect is suppressed for the duration of the spell.

As we are all going simultaneously, I hope I can get him before LGZ can move on the map (but totally understand if I can't).

Let's just get the poison rolls resolved so I don't have to track it. DC 13 Fort Save. You have 5 more rounds. Roll until you make the save, then stop. Each failed save go ahead and roll 1d2 dex damage and add it up. Good luck!

Oooh nice! So, he will move and will end up 20 ft off the map (down the road). However, since he is sooooo slow in his armor, he is in range of your 25 ft spell. LGZ, your fear has been suppressed for 10 minutes. You can figure out how to handle the remaining 2 rounds when it expires.

Kasvot releases a magical bolt of force, it slams right into the creature who shrieks something about wishing it had spell resistance like the other fiends around town. A large bruise forms where the missile struck. Dimple, through pure force of will, stops Liet-Gar in his tracks. He is obviously afraid to disappoint her and turns around sheepishly back to the fight. Fromagalli does what Fromagalli does, try to hit things really hard. He fails.

The demon cackles at the failures and it appears his bruise is also shrinking, "oh yes, yes you are all weak."

He looks at Niza, "and I shall take your sweet soul first!!!" Attempting to fly into her face, he releases a flurry of claws and bites at the gnome (Niza gets an Attack of Opportunity as the fiend 5-ft stepped into her square).

The fiend appears to know exactly what it is doing, as all three attacks land. And while they don't exactly rip her face off, they manage to flood her system with two doses of the same poison (5 total damage and Make a Fort Save DC 15 vs. Poison or take 1d2 ⇒ 2 dex damage).

Niza takes a hand and wipes it across her face, smearing blood left there from the claws and teeth that tore her flesh. She staggers a bit as the poison enters her system. With a rush of adrenaline, she swings her club at the demon twice. At her first swing, Albis takes flight above the group. After Niza's second swing, she steps away from the creature and pants.

With the flank AND the I.C., it hits.

Liet-Gar bolts back into the area, manages to eventually overcome his poison and stands ready to STRIKE! The half-orc sorcerer releases another bolt of pain, it slams into the creature, enlarging the earlier bruise and maybe cracking some ribs?

Niza's first swipe missed as the creature jumps onto her face clawing and biting, but as she refocuses, her club whacks it solidly... but not as solidly as she hoped (DR). She steps back and glares at the little fiend. Dimple inspires the group, adding a burst of energy and urgency to all her allies. Fromagalli feels the added adrenaline and slashes at the little flitting creature, striking it solidly, but again it just doesn't quite cut as deep as he expected (DR).

The fiend, bleeding and bruised appears to start reconsidering its decision to face you all, even as the slash from Fromagalli starts to close itself. It begins carefully casting a spell. But it takes too long and the spell fizzles, instead it merely tries to fly away and get behind the warehouse.

GM Screen:
DC 19 cast defensively: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

This provokes from 3 of you, LGZ, Fromagalli & Niza. All of you get 1 AoO. If you can do enough damage to kill it, combat ends. If not then we will continue along. Fromagalli & Niza get flanking. All of you get Inspire Courage. Good luck!

With a gurgled shriek, the fiend is hacked in two. Both parts thudding to the ground, Fromagalli's sword is covered in sticky and nasty blood.

Niza manages to overcome the strong dose of poison, though it has left her slightly slowed.

Laggy-Zar just nods, "yes, I was about to do that. Nice swing."

Dimple sneaks up to the door as if a combative melee and an elf shrieking like a little halfling child had not just happened. She gets to the door. Peaking in, she cups her hands to her mouth, "Hallooo! Any missing kids in here? We got the bad guy. Well Fromagee did. Limpgear did a lot of excited screaming, but not much else. If we wait a minute, I am pretty sure he'll start again." As if she just reminded herself, Dimple turns back to the team. "Oh yeah, right." She levels a finger at the elven warrior, "He's about to run away again. Someone may want to...I don't know...sit on him or something?"

Niza, fearing another battle behind the door where Dimple is speaking, quickly pulls a potion from her pack and drinks it. She then mumbles a spell and casts Mage Armor on herself. "Okay, I'm ready for whatever might be behind that door." Albis, sensing that Niza is in a better place, settles on her shoulder.

Retrieving the cold-iron weapon, and stowing it for favor of his long blade, LGZ moves towards the door.

He begins to see if the purple webbing stuff reacts as badly to cold iron as the other purple stuff he has seen

Good call LGZ, missed that, you and Niza are at -2 Dex.

Dimple moves up to the door and yells her greeting, then sneaks back to the group. Liet-Gar moves towards the door but doesn’t notice anything except a door to a warehouse and pulsing purple goo nearby. Fromagalli takes a hack at the goo with his dagger and it recoils and then collapses into the white powdery substance as expected.

Nothing bursts out from the warehouse door to assail the pathfinders and the purple substance seems to react to cold iron as expected.

What do you all do next? By my count, about 9 minutes left on the remove fear.

Dimple and Liet-Gar step through the door that at least one of them opened. They hear skittering feet, many more than 8 so it can't be a spider, or at least just one spider. Dimple feels something... sticky and gooey on her feet and as their eyes adjust they both look up to see three lengthy, segmented horrors writhing and twisting, pulsing their venomous mandibles in search of prey. It appears that you have just a bare moment to act before they attack.

Dimple inspires, this time as if her life depended upon it. She seems to be getting used to the fiendish insects though and rattles off some of their obvious strengths and resistances.

LGZ's bladed polearm strikes true, slashing right down the middle of the centipede. For a second, the legs seem to double up as two centipedes come scurrying out of the pile of guts, until it is clear that it was just the two halves of the creature twitching in death throes.

Hearing yelling coming from inside the room, Niza takes a step inside (double move). She looks around and sees the large insects. "What is it with the bugs?" She sighs loudly and says, "I've seen these somewhere before. They are giant centipedes..." She also fills the group in on whatever info she learns from the GM about them. Albis sees the centipedes, and Niza feels a burst of excitement come from him. She chuckles to him, "Are you thinking lunch, Albis?"

Dimple continues her inspiration, driving her allies to greater and greater feats of wonder (while also pulling out her bow and hiding in the corner)! Niza with Albis on her shoulder dashes forwards to get into the action, club wielded menacingly. Fromagalli experiences Liet-Gar's pain of wearing such heavy armor, slowing his movement into the room. But, he manages to still activate a spell upon himself and feels extremely confident his next strike will hit.

The two centipedes, feeling the heat of nearby tasty bodies, move up to strike. One moves just a short bit and bites at LGZ. The other moves across the room to attack Niza.

GM Screen:
Bite vs. LGZ: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 for BPS + Smite Good: 1d6 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 + 1 = 3

Niza becomes greatly annoyed with the pesky bugs she's been fighting. Grabbing her club with both hands, she swings it down hard on the centipede that just bit her. Albis squawks at the centipede, but remains seated on Niza's shoulder.

Barely pulling the blade back...missing Niza by inches, he chuckles nervously. "Uh...perhaps I should watch what I'm doing..."

"Uh, kill the one in front of her so I don't do that again...I'll step back to kill this other one in a moment."

Dimple continues her inspiration by violently pinning a centipede half to the wall with an arrow, "do it like that, but uh... with a living one!" LGZ tries to do it like that, but takes it too literally and spears the other half of the dead centipede with his weapon. Niza, getting a bit cranky at all the poison in her system, cracks her target solidly. It almost collapses but seems to still be capable of taking a bite at her. The other half-elf easily dispatches his target with a strike around the doorframe, his quick slash popping the head off the creature. He steps in and around it as the legs curl up and stop twitching. Kasvot cheers the group on from outside.

The last centipede, with no sense of self preservation, (actually no sense at all...) attacks Niza again. However, it completely misses and then collapses into a twitching pile.
