It was only the recruiter, though. I can always change my story if it gets to the point where we're really talking salary.

Weird - recruiters usually urge you to higher salary requirements so they get a bigger commission.

Bear in mind your locale. We pay about 30% more in CA than we do in the Midwest. I think NY was only 20% more.

Yeah, it'd be a pity if the pattern from the Brosnan years get repeated - a really good first film, followed by ones that just get worse and worse.

Actually, except for the Connery years, that seems to be true all around.

i refuse to acknowledge the existenz of every film on that list after Die another day

Some of those late Roger Moore films were awful. Really, really bad...

One of my favorite Moore Bond films was Man with the Golden Gun. For Connery it was a tie between Dr. No and Goldfinger. I didn't care much for Dalton. With Brosnan I only liked Goldeneye. With Daniel Craig I liked Casino Royale, thought Quantum had a few redeeming qualities but was overall meh.

Scarab Sages

Lazenby is in a class all by himself. I thought he was always one of the best Bonds. It was a shame he only did the one movie.

That one was foremost in my mind. It was on TV a while back and I watched about as much as I could stomach. It might very well be the film where the franchise hit rock bottom.

And what a waste of Christopher Walken and Grace Jones!

My favorite James Bond was the Simpsons episode spoofing him. I love Hank Scorpio.

Some of my favorite Bond villains:

Dr No
Goldfinger (plus Oddjob)
Scaramanga (not sure if the spelling is correct)
009
Le Chiffre
Honorable mention to the villian portrayed by Robert Carlysle in one of the Brosnan movies, mostly because he's an awesome actor.

Boss went out of town this week, he wasn't happy when I answered his request for an update on the D-bag he hired. The moron skipped one of his appointments and said he didn't know he had to go to that one. Then tried to tell the owner of a new hotel account someone was sleeping in a room he was supposed to steam treat. Uhm... no that room was shut down and treated for bed bugs yesterday ya fvcking idiot.

So now he may be gone tomorrow, although if left to me there wouldn't be a tomorrow.

Moorluck is currently in round 3 of the James Bond Villain SupaStah! contest. Things are looking good after he had two other contestants "eliminated" yesterday, and another judge imprisoned in the Phantom Zone on Monday.

I kind of liked the Roger Moore years because there seemed more of a cohesive link betwixt the movies. But damn Connery kicked ass.

My Russian friend just showed me the Russian dub of the 90s X-Men cartoon that she used to watch when she was a kid. Believe it or not, the voice acting was actually better in Russian.

Australians make TV shows? Since when? ;) See I could make a list of BBC shows that are or were worth watching. Some of them only a single series worth which blows my mind but hey FOX canceled Firefly so anything is possible. Oh and there is what a single Canadian TV series despite the export for years of quality actors, or well actors, um guys who played on Star Trek.

We make crap TV occasionally there is a diamond in the rough but mostly its very bad.

Our comedy doesn't translate well...

We have the occasionally good panel show

Most of the Australian actors you see in the US started out on Australian Soaps...

Some of the good stuff:

The Underbelly series particularity was good. Based on true crime,
each season is set during a different time period...
Underbelly Razor is set during the wars between the Razor gangs in the 1920's.

Just going to take a minute here and promote my friend's artwork, and also to ask:

Why hasn't this guy gotten a job with Paizo yet?

Point 1. No it's not fair, but since I am the 2012 RPG SuperVillain! I don't care. So there. :P

Point 2. I like a lot of Australian TV, most of the shows I NetFlix are from down under, beats the same old garbage year after year on our networks. So there. :P

Point 3. I would guess because his art doesn't ape WAR, although I would like see his stuff in Paizo products Shiny.

The Exchange

Point 4. I think a FAWTL takeover of PaizoCon would be, Legend..wait for it.....

Spoiler:

I should clarify. Diane's sister can get us a great rate on an awesome hotel, but it's a significant drive.

Maybe Sarah doesn't know of him? *shrug*

I did see he had some work with FFG, so that does say something about the caliber of his work in the RPG industry.
