I certainly hope he says yes, but if she stays with him (or at least his brother) I know she is loved.

Sounds like a very fortunate dog. I hope he decides to let you keep Ally, but at least if he goes the other way, you can sleep easy knowing the dog is in a good home. Plus, you've provided a wonderful example of doing the right thing even though its difficult for your children.

You guys should just take him, too. Is he old enough to be a 3rd grandpa?

Have a good one Mac, tell the wife we say "Hi".

I want to see it in action before I buy it. I've asked my friends who have it multiple times if I could watch and get a feel for it. But I think they're too busy playing or talking about playing with other friends that have the game to hear me. :)

If you were still in Michigan, I'd invite you over and let you play the game. ;)

You... you HATED Morrowind? You have no soul.

Absolutely, positively HATED Morrowind. It was the leveling system. I never felt like I was crafting the character I wanted. Now, in number 5, I'm getting the EXACT character I want (Ftr/Clr with a dash of rogue.)

Aren't you glad you had that Hazmat suit?

Wha? It was like 6 months ago.....

Do you guys in the US have a tradition of the long work lunch. At the end of the year as projects wrap up, our boss takes us out for "lunch" (starts at 12:30 and finishes when we go home).

The boss took us out for Brazilian - fantastic food and beer, we are now on our way to the pub.

Where I work we call that "Friday".

At my previous job we used to have long lunches at the drop of a hat. A popular or long serving staff member leaving or having a birthday, a big project wrapping up, ‘lunch meeting’ with a client, Melbourne Cup Day, St Patricks Day, Friday ... all were excuses for an all-afternoon lunch.

Not so at my current job. My boss is quite generous and often takes the whole office out to lunch at his expense, but we are expected to be back to work in about 1.5 hours tops.

For us it's when a project (release) winds down its drinks and long lunches - the rest of the time it's 12 hour day madness.

It's a hard slog through the year.

Hey Dem are you in the public service or a Developer?

Tap tap - this thing on?

Time for a bit of a blitz I suppose.

Hmmm I had a B52 today - I haven't had one of those for about 15 years...

20ml (1 part) coffee liqueur (Kahlúa)
20ml (1 part) Irish Cream (Baileys Irish Cream)
20ml (1 part) Orange Cognac (Grand Marnier)

Queen documentary on the TV.... I forgot about the film clip to Bicyle Race....very NSFW.

I would actualy be interested in the Tour De France if it was nude women riding bicycles.

Freddy looked so much better with the moustache and short hair...

I wish the story about one of his parties where he had midgets with little tables strapped to their heads and a selection of cocaine and other drugs to be snorted on the tables was true.

Another set of drinks on Friday for another project I was working on - clashes with my fortnightly Pathfinder game... I will have one or two drinks and then go to the game....

Has Christmas killed off anybody else's campaigns?

I just started playing Lord of the Rings Online - its a lot of fun but it doesn't give me the RP buzz that sitting around the table does.

Has anybody here read the Horseclans books?

Nobody here so I will just crank up the old youtube and play some akadaka

How many of you guys listen to Podcasts?

Any you recommend?

Do you ever get paranoid that you killed a thread when nobody posts after you do for hours...?

I have always wanted to play Paranoia... sounds like a fun RPG.

Any games out there you wanted to play but never got the chance?

Does Aberzombie hold the record for the longest Blitz?

I only listen to one. This one. The Atomic Array. The interviews are great, so much so, that I bought a book because of one: Eureka: 501 Adventure Plots to Inspire Game Masters

Atomic Array is one of my favourites. Good quality sound and the hosts are funny and have a great interview style.

If there is a civilized practice concerning labor, you can bank that we don't have it in the US below the level where they hand out the golden parachutes.

Half grew up in the 70s, half in the 80s, I guess. (Myself, that is.)

Lady Hawk
Escape from LA
Conan
Red Sonja
Stripes
Ghostbusters
Gremlins
Vacation
Fast Times at Ridgemont High

My teen years were in the 80's... Aside from the constant worry that I was going to die in a Nuclear War it wasn't too bad a time to grow up.

Not surprisingly duran duran's - girls on film (NSFW) was banned on Australian TV... a mate of mine had a bootleg copy, good times :-)

Starship Sofa is an excellent podcast if you want something genre that is not gaming.

Beyond AA, I sometimes have to range abroad for more RPG podcasting. Top of the list is Chronicles Pathfinder Radio. Then there's Know Direction (PF), Roll for Initiative (1e), Save or Die (B/X), Happy Jacks (RPG), and Fear the Boot (RPG) in no particular order. Dungeons and Flagons (our resident Zombie was a member) was great, but then they went all Gamaworld/record play sessions and I haven't been happy with that, but I still can recommend their early episodes which are D&D/PF. Also, I imagine THACO's Hammer (2e) is worth a listen, but I haven't tried it yet.

Whats Starship Sofa about?

My non gaming stuff - How Stuff Works, Stuff you missed in History Class, The Nerdist, Astronomy Cast, Star Stuff, The History of Rome, A History of WWII, The Pritzker Military Library, Monster Talk, Skeptoid and the Skeptics guide to the Universe.

Gaming - Chronicles, Know Direction, FTB, D&F and the new Gamers Guide to Pathfinder.

I am enjoying D&F's Gamma world actual play... it probably because I dont get to play as much as I used to and I kind of imagine myself at the table.

I will check out the other Podcasts you have listed they sound cool.

For workers who earn it, once every 3 months we have a long lunch. It starts with a limo ride and we generally go to the Japanese place. Lasts about 2 1/2 hours.

It can be. There was a module once where a DND group stumbles upon alpha base. I think they have an R&D center that gets them to Greyhawk or some such. very weird.

The cameras on pogo sticks... what more can I say.
