Naked, violent loathing. I like it.

Shadow Lodge

Who said anything about liking it? I just use it cause I've never needed anything else.

Self entitled brats.

The sad thing is, they probably think that staying with one provider for three years IS being such a good and loyal customer.

Meanwhile, I have been with my phone service provider for about ten years, and all they give me for free is grief.

Tch. I do everything I can for them. Unless they're idiots, then I still do it but they want something beyond what is actually possible. Sadly, all the people I had to deal with today were... idiots.

Sad man.

A Dwarf mini Blitz....

2500 US Marines going to be based in Darwin... I can think of nicer places, Its hot, Dam hot, it rains, lots of snakes, lots and lots of spiders its 1000's of kilometres from anywhere, it has a very redneck vibe, you cant go swimming the water is full of Crocodiles and Sharks.

The Marines should have asked to be based at Margaret River or Byron Bay.... Not as many rednecks no crocs, a lot less sharks good food and very good surf.

I have not been surfing for a very long time.

I lived right near the beach (here is a photo) in the costal town of Ballina

The nearest city (not country town pretending to be a city) was the Gold Coast (a series of large towns that had merged into one-another). It was about two to three hours away depending on traffic and the quality of the roads.

Our State capital (Sydney)was 10 hours drive... The Queensland State Capital was 3 to 4 hours away.

The nearest cinema was an hours drive away (as was the nearest store with RPGs).

We had the beach, a water-slide, and the Maritime Museum.... and when I was ready to leave for University we finally got a cinema no shops with RPGs though....

We also had THE BIG PRAWN

I think I am done.

To be fair I'm not sure that Darwin would have a strong redneck vibe (not that I have ever been there); it has always been pretty multi-cultural and from what I've heard in the last decade or so it has become much more of a proper (if small) city rather than one of those country towns pretending to be a city that you mentioned.

I am probably being to harsh on Darwin... I have met two kinds of people from Darwin; the stereotypical racist, acubra, truckers singlet, thongs (flip flops for our US friends)wearing, beer in one hand cigy between the lips, closed minded, homophobic red-necks on one hand and on the other hand the most chilled out and excellent musicians that you would ever hope to meet.

Its just the racist ones I have met seem to outnumber the cool ones.

Because this isn't the original FAWTL thread.

That one was put down by PMG because it got too big and started to kill the boards.

Same thing happened to each one that followed - eventually they got too big, mussed with the site, and were ended by PMG. So, here we are on #6. We've taken turns naming each new one. For example, #5 was named by yours truly, and called FAWTLhouse Five.

But each one has gone a bit longer, gotten a bit bigger, and now PMG claims that size doesn't matter. But we'll show him.

Oh yes! We'll show him......

At some point they crash the boards and Gary shuts them down. This is actually closer to the 8th, but the official 6th thread.

I've got sort of an old-man "git off my forums ya dang kids" vibe going.

Generally when this occurs I step back, realize the kids in question are just silly, and apply 2-3 doses of awesome directly to the face.

It's worked thus far at being amusing, if nothing else. Might I recommend finding a way to turn their fail into your lulz?

Went to the University of New England (Armidale N.S.W Australia, up in the mountains six hours from home) met the future Mrs 8th Dwarf and then moved to Sydney (lots of beaches it's just they are very crowded). When I went to uni my dads job took him and the rest of the family overseas.... When they got back they moved to Brisbane..... Last time I was in Ballina was five years ago.for my cousins wedding.

I'm not much for links, but look for the Necklace of Lovlies thread I posted in.

GM ran a hostage threat and wants to send nightmares to the PC who refused to back down or try for an alternate way to defeat the villian.

It brought back Champions flashbacks from a GM who liked to have his bad guys escape. Repeating the 'take a hostage' manuever over and over causes me distress.

I wouldn't call them self entitled- a free new cell phone is a standard tactic of many cell phone companies.

Aye, and while I don't mind getting people a freebie, this is equivalent to expecting a 2012 Mercedes Benz for the price of a 2006 Toyota Echo.

It's interesting. There is someone I love very much in Arkansas who really wants me to visit. She has done her best to beat the heads of any rednecks that she's encountered over the years.

To be fair and honest, I barely stepped foot across the border and into a very small rural community. I did not get to see much of the state and very few of the people.
