Klaus Kinski ftw! Shadow of the Vampire kind of sucked, though.

Man, what a busy week. How are you all?

Question for the group - What is the proper form of address for a female Lt. Colonel in the Air Force? M'am?

My daughter's ROTC interview is tomorrow. Thanks.

Could be worse, could be the zebravirus.

Or a retrovirus, and you'd dress up like it was the 70s. Oh wait, people are already doing that. ;)

Yep, "Ma'am" is the correct form of address. "Colonel <lastname>" is also acceptable.

Good luck to your daughter!

Hmm, they don't seem to have any of the Dracula ones, but I did find Curse of Dr. Frankenstein and Plague of the Zombies.

Hmm.

Ta Tas?

You're a dude, you're not supposed to have them. ;P

According to Radar, the proper form of address for female officers is "Sir Ma'am Sir."

Hmm, I think I am going to disagree with you there Bob. I really liked Shadow of a Vampire I thought Dafoe's performance rocked. I have always been a Malkovich fan as well. But that is just this humble man's opionion.

Cornielius gloats, knowing that, while he doesn't have netflix, he does have the Complete Hammer Collection on dvd, as well as the girls of Hammer Films photo book. Oddly enough, both belong to his wife.

Side note: His wife took vacation this week to stay at home, watching horror films.

Scarab Sages

Oddly enough, I have never dressed as a zombie for Halloween.

Scarab Sages

The office had our second annual chili cook-off today. I restrained myself at 2 bowls.

The Exchange

making chili for my lunch right now. Oh OK, I am heating up stuff from a can.

Scarab Sages

We had 6 offerings of home-cooked chili from various employees. For $2 you got a bowl of chili and a bun. I sampled offering #3 and offering #4. Sadly, the first place chili was gone by the time I got there.

I think all the FaWtL members should dress up like other members. I plan on dumping a bottle of Elmer's glue on myself and jumping into a leaf pile to go as Mairkurion.

I just made homemade chili the other day. It spent about 8 hours in the crock pot and it was perfect.

Made a batch Sunday. Half went to the MNF party at my friend's house. My sons are attacking the rest with zeal. Better get myself a bowl soon.

Well, duh.

On Halloween you're supposed to dress differently than the rest of the year. :)

But not this kind.

That is a crime against chili.

I plan on dressing like the PMG. I hope I don't run out of goo.

JESS! STOP IGNORING ME!

CRIMJ: Netflix is pretty spotty on the Hammer, but you can find some.

CommieBug: I actually like Shadow of the V.

What a wonderful thing to come home to today. A big brown box from Paizo!(Insert toothy grin here). It's full of gaming goodness, including Eureka from Gnome Stew. I feel very close to being ready to announce a PBP that has been rattling around in my head. Can't wait to use the PMG's awesome online campaign tools.

The campaign tools are pretty sweet.

And I love getting boxes from Paizo.

I'm glad to see your note at the bottom: Jumping will result in cracked and chaotic leaves. You must carefully apply the leaves one at a time in an artful handsome arrangement. So obviously you didn't truly mean "jump," but were just being dramatic and metaphorical.

I celebrated my birthday with my family last night.

I started with a Bourbon Street Praline
Pecan Infused Bourbon, Bitter Truth Molè Bitters, French Vermouth then my first course was
Terrine of Duck Confit & Foie Gras
Peach Corn Bread, Sweet & Spicy Pecans, Strawberry-Black Pepper Coulis which was out of this world very good
followed by
Spinach & Frisée Salad
Sunny Side Egg, Bacon Lardons, Pommery Mustard Vinaigrette with which I enjoyed a glass of chardonnay south african both were quite good.
For my main course I sampled their Grilled Du Breton Farm Pork Porterhouse Pear~Plum Chutney, Caraway Potatoes, Mustard Greens, Cider Jus which was fantastic especially washed down with a German Reisling
and to end my evening I enjoyed Rich Chocolate Ganache Tart
House Made Almond Brittle, Chocolate Sauce All and all an excellent evening having a great time with family and the food was phenominal. My favoritie was the Duck Confir and Foie Gras.

I was also thinking of standing in front of a leaf blower, that would work too.
