For the record: pmg said this post was likely aimed at me. HOWEVER, let the ratio show I do not need the favorites! My posts get plenty of favorites on their own merit. pmg's posts on the otherhand... might need the extra help.

Nah, there seem to be several folks who enjoy getting faves, one so much so that he faves his own.... :)

I will also DE-favorite someone's posts for store credit.

Yeah, I saw yesterday that Sebastian's faves were a page longer than mine. It made me wonder if I could personally take that page out by going and de-favoriting.

Day three of bedrest. It's a good thing I am never bored or I'd be out of my mind by now. ;)

Today is Jane Austen movie marathon day. I'm currently watching Persuasion. Next up, Pride and Prejudice.

Well I hope you feel better soon. I know it is never fun to be stuck in bed all day having just went through it with the kidney stones. Hope you are up and at it soon thoough, good thoughts sent your way.

good evening everyone

Evening Aeglos how are things across the pond and in Germany?

I've got the Jane-time; what's the Jane-station?

I'm looking forward to the upcoming Jane Eyre movie.

Thank you. :)

I'm getting better, just very slowly. So I just have to make the best of it and not try to do too much too soon. Even if the dishes are threatening to take over the apartment. :)

Well, in my case it's all from my dvd collection. It's too costly to get another cable box for the tv in my room, so all I have is a dvd player. My tv is just about at the end of its functionality too so I'm just glad it can still manage that. :)

Treppa wrote:

Me too, which is very strange considering how much I loathe the book. Every time I've ever read it I've always ended up wanting to hit Jane over the head and tell her to stop being such a ninny.

I think that Jane is probably one of my favorite girl's names.

Well keep a bat near the bed to keep those dishes at bay, hoping you are up and at it soon. Glad to hear you are doing better and glad you are not pushing too hard sometimes that can be the worst thing.

Waht was the most recent film by Austin that came out?

Mansfield Park? I think that came out after the most recent version of Pride and Prejudice. But I'm not entirely sure.

Great to hear from you. Besides the tired how are things going? Hopefully the tourists aren't getting you down.

Summer is coming to an end, I am a little bummed as I have yet to be to the beach yet, But I am on vacation next week.

Yippie, rum and tonics here I come. Though I suppose I need to still be planning for the wedding next weekend so I can't get too sloshed.

Nope. It's a good tired. Started work at 3am. Done at 1030am. I took the extra time to bike from North Falmouth to Old Silver Beach and then down all the way to Woods Hole and back to North Falmouth. So, I'm a bit fragged at this point.

Good luck on the nuptuals. Are you doing the full schmear? 500+ guests and that whole thing?

Ah the whole exercise thing. Sounds like a great ride.

Thank you for the well wishing. As for the wedding I am doing it much smaller this time around. First time I had over 200, full kilts, bag piper in Trinity church in Boston the reception was at a country club full bar and food galore. Great party no doubt, not a such a great marriage. So decided to tone it down some less stress you know?

So this time we have decided on a much smaller group. About 30 some family can't invite all because then we would get close to that 200 mess. A few friends and her children on the beach for the ceremony and then back to the family house right up the street. Carribean themed, with wine, beer and a rum drink. Small easy and simple, at least trying to make it simple.

I am looking forward to it and wish it was this weekend.

Excellent. I prefer the intimate weddings m'self. And speaking as a two-timer, the second marraige came out much better than the first. At least in my expperience.

I haven't seen much in this sub-genre, but this seemed fairly original. Not a metric ton to do with Jane Eyre, but it does explain the origin of the banana.

Sounds like a lovely celebration and I'll add to those well wishes with both the wedding and the marriage. :)

Merci beaucoups. How goes the Austen Marathon?

I read some of her books which parts I enjoyed but I think I am looking more forward to the new Conan film despite the current reviews than the new jane Eyre film. But for you I do hope it is not too Wuthering but that it reachs the Heights of your expectations.

lol. I'm just watching the beginning of Pride and Prejudice now. As for preferring to see Conan, well, I understand. I've been looking forward to that for months. Honestly, I love action movies and am usually more enthusiastic about the genre than my husband is. (He prefers dramas and mysteries.) But I also have a strange weakness for literary period dramas. There's no explaining it. :)

(Also Wuthering Heights has been a personal favorite since I first read it when I was eleven. At least Emily Bronte's heroine seemed to accept that she was a ninny.)

I figured I would break the bad news and let everyone know I am still alive. :P
