I think being packed tighter than sardines per square foot outweighs that. Even if 99% of you act right...there's MILLIONS of you. That's tens of thousands of f#%%ups.

WW went over to his mom's after he was done at the office this afternoon.
(The Census bureau, since they have to reduce everyone's hours in order to pay lip service to social distancing, is making everyone work half-days on Saturdays.)

His mom complained that one of her student families dropped by to pay her a visit earlier today. None of them wore masks, and made dismissive comments about Covid "science".

Mom asked WW if she could use him as an excuse in future... as in, "My son is very concerned..."

WW said, "Sure, but I grew up with most of them, and that won't impress them. Just tell them, My daughter-in-law will come after you and burn your house down."

I encountered a wild bear the other day, and, upon misremembering the advice I'd heard, played "Dad" instead of "dead". Now it says "Please" and "Thank You", and can ride a bicycle without training wheels.

I used to love tap dancing. But then I slipped, fell into the sink, and broke my ankle.

I always get slightly concerned when my wife enters the room topless. I'm on the lookout for a booby trap.

I heard somebody was going to set something on fire. I've been known to enjoy the occasional campfire cooked food...

Freehold will be happy, I switched my 2k20 team to the Nets.

So, it turns out the Nets have like no draft picks and Irving and Durant are hard to trade for draft picks. So, I went with the Knicks and traded everyone for draft picks and got the first pick in the draft.

Sorry, Freehold!

On the plus side, I fired EVERYONE.

Life in ShiroLand:

After visiting Shiro a couple of times to deliver him food and groceries, we concluded that we'd be able to game in person at his house if we just stayed on the patio and he stayed indoors. The only minor logistical problem with this is the 85˚F afternoon highs combined with direct sun beating down on the patio at that time of day. I figured we'd add a tarp, much like the one over our pergola, and we'd only be out around $40 and an hour or two of finding places to tie it.

Shiro responded, "Don't order anything. I'll take care of it."

So of course he brought in a few contractors and he's having his deck rebuilt and his sliding glass door replaced with French doors and thinking of maybe a pergola, maybe some kind of automated canopy coming off the side of the house...

...so of course it's not going to be ready any time in the near future, so we're stuck on Roll20.

Because Shiro doesn't do things halfway.

What makes LM feel smug:

Now we're having an honest-to-goodness toad-floater.

So that's why our robot pergola guy isn't doing it until the middle of July.

I saw that one earlier on FB. My first thought was, "Now we just need to see a picture of a MAGAron with a mask over their ears to complete the set."

Initial results of the first turn of presidential elections were predictable, though the second guy got more votes in the first turn than polls showed through the last months, which might either be a good sign for the second turn, or just a sign that everyone who would vote for him already voted.

Not holding my breath...

I think this guy may make an appearance in the employ of Mr. Taupe, an otyugh mafioso I occasionally play on my NWN server.

I would love to see Duda lose power, but, yeah, probably not going to happen.

Recent polls regarding second turn showed quite close match - and those were the same polls that underscored Trzaskowski's expected results in the first turn. There is still chance...

Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed. If a miracle happens next month, I might find some hope for us in November.

Well, at least the voter's frequency was a big improvement (ca. 60% compared to 49% five years ago, 54% ten years ago, 49% 15 years ago, and 61% in my first elections 20 years ago ).

EDIT: As the numbers update, the frequency was probably closer to 62%.

What I learned from looking for lower sodium chips.

1. Chips with lower fat have up to 3 times more sodium then regular chips.

2. I don't eat enough chips during lunch to qualify as a single serving (15 chips is considered one serving, I eat about half that.

3. I don't eat as much sodium as I thought I did so it's probably not something I need to worry about.

The covid pandemic made me realize I can eat better so that's been my thing this spring.

I figured out where the mice in my house are feeding. They ate an entire bag of almonds and half a bag of shredded coconut out of the cupboard where I keep my baking supplies.

My project for today was scrubbing down that entire cupboard, throwing out any items that were not fully sealed (carefully inspecting for teeth marks or any other sign that mice had breached the packages), and relocating everything that was safe to a different location that the mice cannot reach.

Kitty needs to keep finding those mousies.

Yeah anything low fat always has something else to compensate or just tastes awful. It goes with my life philosophy that all things are a balance and has their ups and downs.

Strangely a lot of writing utensil jokes tonight.
