What happens when I kind of coast one day?

Co-worker coasts twice as hard the next day.

That has to suck.

Especially as he coasted with your clothes.

No one coasts with MY clothes, it was my anniversary last night.

Wow... sometimes advice columnists are just beyond-the-pale appalling.

So, a couple had their 40th wedding anniversary and one of the guests gave them novelty pig salt and pepper shakers in a Tiffany bag.

The author was so offended that she returned the gift, presumably ending the friendship.

And the advice columnist agreed with her!!!

If you care more about your friends' gifts than their companionship, you deserve neither.

I'm fine with it, it means I'll probably get a raise.

And in all honesty, it's why I'm on the A Team and not the B(ob) Ross team.

That's f#$!ed up, man.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of kitschy presents.

So, whether or not you're a fan, a couple of pigs in a Tiffany's bag is obviously intended to be humorous, so take it as such, be gracious, and write it off. Assuming they're your friends, they weren't trying to offend you; they were trying to be funny.

I still wear the crappy watch Shiro bought me as a joke. It took some effort to find the "worst-rated, best-looking" watch that Amazon had to offer. And losing two minutes an hour on a modern watch, while having it be a wind-up watch that only lasts for 4-6 hours is no small feat.

Just went Lucky Friends with Shiro in Pokémon Go. Usually, this would be really cool, but it requires trading to take advantage of, and you can't trade over long distances, soooo... out of luck, I guess? :P

I should probably note I'm 5'7" and 135, co-worker is 6'3" and 235.

So, if he did wear my clothes it would be HILARIOUS!

Unfortunately, under the Walnut tree is the only place I can set up my saw.

But, I'm done cutting with only a minimal amount of walnuts hitting my head.

Mom called crying - the kitty old cat that adopted my parents not long after I returned from UK died today :(

He was a sweet, friendly (if clearly old) grey fellow which was often welcoming me when I was going out to work or returning from work, as he was living in a box in the front of the house then.

Isn't stuff like what time breakfast is also on info cards in the rooms?

These are the same people that call one of their company IT person's personal cell phones at 10pm wondering what the hotel WIFI password is.

I have been reminded of this.

Just received a ticket stating that her laptop's wifi worked fine from home before she left on a business trip, but it wouldn't connect to two different hotel wifi systems, but then worked fine again when she got home. She's pretty sure it's the drivers.

I'm absolutely positive it's not.

They look so tiny.

I can eat *A LOT* of chocolate.

My favorite is from Tony Chocolonely, which has a half-dark chocolate. Its somewhere between milk and dark. So its more bitter, which i like, but it still melts in your mouth.

"My Outlook won't open."

You're in Outlook already. Sixteen times, in fact.

"No, that's something else."

No, really, it's Outlook. See, it says it right here. And here. And here...and so on...and watch, you click the icon that says Outlook, and it opens a seventeenth time. It's working. It won't be working soon, if you keep doing this, but it is working.

"No, that's not what I mean. I'm talking about this one over here. This doesn't work."

...That's also Outlook...

And somehow I'm not allowed to set fire to these people.

NobodysHome's Moral Indignation Runs Deep:
So... GothBard is a video game designer. She's been working on a new game for months now, working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, to produce an enjoyable game.

The higher-ups, hoping to boost sales, brought in a "celebrity designer" for 6 hours. Total. One 6-hour meeting with the design team.

Said celebrity designer is now taking full credit for the entire game design, including quotes where said designer talks about how hopeless the design team was before they got there, and how proud they are to have designed this entire game.

And GothBard's company is going along with it.

The whole societal attitude of "truth doesn't matter" and "it's just fine to take credit for someone else's work" sickens me. Deeply.

If it were me, it would be the straw that made me walk. But apparently it's so common in the gaming industry that you'd end up unemployed if you stuck to your morals.

Sickening...
