I'm trying to fight off sleep right now. The cats started pestering me to feed them at 4:45 this morning. They're fed at 6:30, right after I get out of bed.

The little as$π*!€$.

And yeah, that too. *Shrug*

I'll be happy when I can dig a hole again.

Ever since you compared yourself to Hal, I'm going to remember the first scene from Malcolm in the Middle whenever you post at the top of a page.

So now I'm getting a brain and thinking, "Hey, I can pay someone to patch up, texture, and paint my drywall. Why should *I* do it?"

Apparently, because it's too small of a job for an actual professional firm to to.

LM and WW gave me name of exactly the guy for this kind of job, but I have to look into licensing garbage -- I may be able to get away with having him paint stuff without a license.

Otherwise, Albany is as bad as a homeowner's association when it comes to handymen working on your house -- if the work is noisy or takes more than a day, the inspector will be called on you...
...gotta do some research on painting. I *think* it's actually something a handyman can do...

Malcolm in the Middle is one of our favorite shows.

Right up there with Bob's Burgers and Gravity Falls.

We love it too, and I get to brag for introducing it to Mrs Sunrise and the Homunculi. :)

It's a sitcom and yet it's got a larger-than-life mythological aspect to it; I think it'll be one of those shows that'll always be a classic.

So next week I'm finally pulling the trigger on getting a medical weed card.

My only question is: Do I play it safe and go in lying, or do I go in assuming that the doc will happily fake a chronic pain diagnosis for the sake of treating my insomnia? Obviously lying is the safe bet, but I don't like lying to doctors. And it would be nice to get some pro tips from him or her before walking into a dispensary.

I should note that I found this place via newspaper ad, and judging by the clinic name and website, they're definitely catering to recreational users or people with an unapproved illness.

I can't lie to anyone to save my life,so I'd recommend honesty is the best policy. Also don't snort too much weed at once. Especially if it's pure you could get more then you bargained for. No, I haven't done weed before, just what I picked up from VE.

You don't want to snort weed.

We recommend a pipe and soft lighting.

The Exchange

OK listen to the professionals. But don't take too much on your first try since different people handle weed differently.

It's literally impossible to overdose on weed.

Why didn't the life guard save the hippy? Because he was too far out, man.

I saw a bird with a really big beak holding a chessboard. I thought "Toucan play that game".

Just watched Your Name with GothBard, and I'm afraid it's one of those movies that doesn't live up to its hype, but it is only because the hype is so amazingly over-the-top that it sets a high bar indeed.

Your Name is a very, very, VERY good film. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. It's extremely Miyazake-like.

But it's not life-altering. It probably won't be your favorite anime of all time. And the people who call it unbelievably sad are just... er... wrong?

But yes, I really enjoyed it and I'm glad I bought it instead of renting it so I can watch it again soon.

But after that I don't think I'm going to watch it again and again and again, like Spirited Away or My Neighbor Totoro...

I'm still trying to find the piano score for the ending theme for spirited away.

No. Just no. And if you get a bad trip, you could be in for a permanent psychotic disorder. Be careful.

Sissyl is right. If you do smoke or ingest to large an amount of weed it could. I think you have to have a genetic predisposition for it but the scale is kind of like:
genetic---disorder----amount of weed
with the middle being how much your smokin.

OK, the Italian side of the family has not eaten the tuna pizza yet but thinks the sardine pizza is a bad idea... Hrrrmmm. I wonder what I've gotten myself into.

I have a dream that I will be able to play that song. But heck, the only things I have managed to play so far is Bring me to Life and Canon in D. I play To Zanarkand too fast and mechanically for it to be nice. The emotion doesn't come through. Again, I don't really have the time to practice these days.

Your a busy little kitty Mort.

Yeah I think you have to already be a sardine fan to want sardines on a pizza.

The Exchange

But tomato sardines are nice, are they not? Again coming from someone who eats everything...yeah I'm too easy going to make a good cook since I don't have much standards to live up to.

Yeah busy working out, also squeezing in between PBPs, baking experiments and Slay the Spire and darkest dungeon.

And being assistant gran harasser.

The Exchange

That too. Currently getting my fur rebonded since I'm doing reception desk duty for my BF's bros wedding at the end of this month. Dress already selected.

Why is Mork harassing my assistant? And since when do I have an assistant?

Man, you people need better information.

We thought we were bad!

There is no such thing as "a bad trip" when smoking weed, only with synthetic weed, which we never, ever, ever recommend.

Point of fact: we've been using it for over twenty years to deal with our insomnia and we haven't had any of those things happen.

We have however, gone through a phenomenal amount of Cheetos. We don't even like them.

I don't know about the bad trip part but there is a link to marijuana and psychosis It usually has to do with genetics and the amount of weed plus the potency of it.

It probably won't affect most people with standard amounts but some people may be more susceptible. It has to do with dopamine levels. Schizophrenia for example has to do heavily with dopamine levels. If you happen to be genetically predisposed to Schizophrenia the chemical changes marijuana causes could trigger the condition. I learned about it in college. It is possible that more research has been done since. I haven't kept up to date with it. That article above seems fairly recent.

Oh I remembered another determining factor is the potency and apparently most of it you get in america isn't that potent.

My aunt has to do emergency babysitting tomorrow so I'll be left to my own devices. I am going to test myself to see if I can run 10 km.

I don't even bother with Act 4. The heart is pretty much impossible.

If you don't want to smoke it, we recommend making tea.

It's a different feeling so it'll probably lead to less psychosis.
