I got back from a meeting about Brexit, where some people got very excited indeed, around 21:30, after which I did the ironing, then played the bass guitar.
When you see a growing light at the end of the tunnel... Better be sure it is not an incoming train.

I won a chance to try beatsaber at the local shopping mall by spending enough moolah.
I just watched videos of people playing beatsaber on YouTube. Let's hope I don't embarrass myself too much. And make my try at beat Saber run last as long as possible. Since I'm assuming you get to try only until you lose the level.
I've never done dance dance revolution nor have I had much luck at rhythm games in the arcade since I'm a clumsy fk.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
No, this is a camping thing. I bet NH has done it.
You make a thick dough and wrap it around a stick and cook it over the fire. I've never been into it much myself; I'd rather cook in a pan over the fire. But hard-core backpackers measure the weight of *everything* and don't always like to bring niceties like cook pans.
I belong to the Sam Gamgee school of camping. I schlep half a kitchen with me.
Pretty much, except we did it at bonfires instead of camping. If you get your biscuit sticks the right size you can slide a hot dog inside of it instead of using a bun. Since I don't care for hot dogs, I would just put some jam in there and enjoy.

Things are being kicked into the long grass, basically, probably because the C*n*e*v*t*v* P*r*y realise that they've cocked things up good and proper and pissed off their natural supporters amongst the captains of commerce & industry and want to maintain the status quo as long as possible while clinging on to power (which means Disco Theresa can't push the Brexiteers on her right too far). There will probably be a general election before B-Day

Final Fantasy Tactics - War of the Lions: EMERGENCE (Hack) is f++@ing amazeballs!
They change Ramza into the "noble" class in chapter 1, and over the course of the game he slowly upgrades to a dark knight.
They rebalanced all the jobs, and changed the job tree, and added new stuff.
It's just...so much better!
Staffs now all give buffs instead of doing damage.
Rods do damage based on your magic stat, not your physical, so mages can hit with them decent
Fights are balanced out to be less ridiculous, like Riovanes castle
Luso has been changed to a Meliadoul clone instead of a Ramza clone
Most moves require MP to balance them out
Serious Archer buffing! (Charge has been swapped for debuff arrows)
Serious Thief buffing! (Crossbow proficiency, poach built into the class, and more)
All stores sell everything (except the poach stuff still is trade towns)
Knight class changed to Soldier (cause only nobles are knights)
HOLY SHIT is Mustadio upgraded
Balthier is downgraded, but still awesome!
Orlandu is debuffed, but you still can't bring that powerful motherf@@~er down to everyone else's level
New Magus class with access to Orran's powers and more!
Women-exclusive gear is now gender-neutral
The poaching list got all re-scrambled
All the 2-player exclusive stuff can now be found in 1-player somehow
A patch to get rid of that massive slowdown when you cast spells in the ISO
...and more I'm still discovering!
If they threw a new story on top of this I'd pay top dollar to play a real game. But they didn't. So there's that. But there's still all the War of the Lions extras.

So we're bringing down OUR turkey and such and combining the feasts.
Yeah, it's 28 pounds of turkey for 7 people.
But it'll be fun nonetheless.
This is two whole turkeys with giblets.

I'm sure I've mentioned him before -- he's worked on every single Lara Croft game since the original. Very much like me, he starts working for a company and just stays there instead of trying to climb the corporate ladder.
But yeah, he's got a LOT of Lara Croft swag. I'm sure you'd love to meet him...

Today is the 23rd.
Which means the cd I pre-ordered for the holidays shipped today.
This band I like (because how can you not like a band that mixes a full horn section with accordion?) made a new album of rock arrangements of traditional Polish carols.
If I'm *really* lucky, it will get here before next weekend, so the kids and I can listen while we decorate.

I believe it is almost time for the 30 year anniversary of super robot wars.
Who is everyone's favorite giant robot?
They probably appeared in it at some time.
Favorite giant robot? Tough one. Probably the VF-1S from Robotech (or whatever they called it in Macross). But there is a special place in my heart for the Urbanmech from Battletech. I also really like the Deathstrike Gundam from Gundam Wing.

I will always have a fondness for Goldar from The Space Giants, if only because the place from which he shot his missiles gave me the giggles every time I saw the show as a kid...

Speaking of "interesting" facets of my personality, it's Black Friday... meaning that I'm going to do my utmost not to spend a single penny today.
Contrarian, much?
I'm going out, but only because Poopsie, The Magical Slime Surprise Unicorn is on sale.
And I'm not working today for the first time in probably forever.
Also our furnace needs a new filter.

The Freeholdian Council does not recognize Silvar or Space Giants, holding up Diana A's Oppai Missile/Breast Missile as superior.

I know hardly anything about your westminster system, is the general election triggered by a no-confidence vote where Disco Theresa gets replaced by another PM?

I need to return the boots which I bought in September... The left one is mostly ok, but the right one had its interior cloth piece worn out already and is chaffing me. Also, the sole is giving way from the top where the interior... I have no idea how to call... Mesh, grating? The construction that is supposed to make the sole under the heel lighter, is collapsing.
Two months. Dammit. That beats the previous boots that I bought last year which served three months.
