So, I was sick for 3 days, didn't keep up on this, and now I have 350ish posts to catch up on.
NH - Slack...Aiymi's office uses it as their primary means of communication and file sharing. I think it's awful. So does she. However, even though I generally hate it, I will say it's a decent enough all-in-one workaround for a small business environment that doesn't have the expected enterprise IT infrastructure. When you don't have file servers, Exchange or other email servers, you can't afford to shell out for the usual corporate go-to collaboration and communication software suites, it starts looking a lot better. However, it's not good enough for my company, and I have no idea why anyone in your company would even feel the need to look at it as an option.
That would explain why company for which I occasionally do things uses it. They are very-very small (i.e. 4 or 5 people at the moment, including an intern).
You can Google it safely even while naked at work.

Meetup with ALL MEMBERS OF OLD BAND, some of whom are balder than others. One has a combination of no head hair and pony tail, which I swear he would never have dared to sport in the early noughties.
I have had a respectable quantity of beer, which is probably a bad idea, seeing as I have to make an appearance at a kiddies' birthday party tomorrow.
O well.

Most of my dresses don't restrict my mobility. I mean I can run in them, though kicking in them is still a no-no. Get me in my leggings and I can give you a good kick.

And yesterday did Not go without a hitch. One silly joker was 10 min late after deciding to hold a meeting despite being told about the 1.30 pick up time. And he's management so leaving without him wouldn't work out either. Though when he said he'd be there in 20 seconds, I counted on the bus, it took him 30 secs to arrive then I promptly announced that it took him 30 seconds instead of 20 which he promised.
Dinner was served late as the restaurant was understaffed and we told them to serve at 5.45 earlier, but we were down at 5.30. Though even at 5.45 they weren't ready either, it was more of a 6.20 sort or thing.
Then during dinner, when I was still having my chicken wings, and some people had ordered coffee, my fellow event organizer started bugging me to arrange the transport back and wouldn't take no for an answer. So the coach came in 6 min and of course the coffee hadn't come yet, so some people had to miss their coffee.

Finally beat the monster hunt with Crowley! That leaves only.....ugh, Toki.
All the RNG effects are the only issue I have with Hearthstone, why must one of the four wild hunt heroes be all about the RNG effects?!

Don't do a casino mage deck. Try for elemental deck, or spell deck with arcane giants. I've done monster hunt already.

So this morning the gastro doc came in, asked about my progress, and then said it's time for the NG tube.
And it was every bit as awful as the nurses told me it would be. Especially when I thought I'd have to live with it for four hours, but the pump doesn't move fluid as quickly as the doc ordered, so it ended up being six. The insertion was incredibly unpleasant, don't know why they didn't at least numb up my nose, and my throat is now sore because I've been trying to swallow the tube for six hours.
I've managed to move a tiny bit of stuff, but the damned dam is still solid.
Oh and I pulled the damned tube out while the nurse is still waiting for the official okay.
No blood, no sedation of any kind.
The next step is just drinking more of the same laxative as quickly as I can until the dam breaks.

They didn't lube the tube up in any numbing agent? I find that really strange if they leave it in for that long with out any kind of sedation or numbing agent to alleviate the discomfort.

Welcome to U.S. Health Care -- any anaesthetic costs money, so insurers deny all such claims:
As I said upthread, the people who make such decisions should spend their lives undergoing ALL medical treatments sans anaesthesia.
As it is, if anaesthesia IS medically necessary, they deny it and you get to fight to get it paid for. If it's considered a "luxury"; for example, for childbirth or TS's treatment, they won't offer it, and if you ask for it, they may or may not pay for it.

Just had a sonogram, and apparently there is no liquid in my system. Which I don't even know how that's possible without me looking like a malnourished zombie, but makes sense. Looking forward to what the doc has to say about it tomorrow.
Oh and that's insane about insurance...but not at all surprising. >:(
Finally caught up. Looking forward to going to bed, but Zelda still has a ton to do before the festival she's in charge of starts tomorrow. And we're supposed to be there by 7am. Aiymi may not make it - she seems to have picked up the bug I had.

Eat that. 3.8 miles in about an hour. Took a break for 1 min in between. Now to do it without a break... The last 1.9 miles I was going at a pretty good pace of 4.9 miles/h.
Sure I can get 5.9 miles/h in the gym but it's air conditioned and all that. And I can't hold that pace for more then 20 min. It's a lot easier running on a treadmill.
And now I feel good about myself =)

Childbirth without an epidural is barbaric! For God's sake we're in the 21st century!
Actually, it's not even vaguely barbaric. Passing kidney stones is a lot worse.
What *is* barbaric is the grocery list of "standard", completely unnecessary procedures and preemptive interventions that most women, with normal birth situations, absolutely do not need but are pressured into through scare tactics. Many of which actually prolong the recovery process.

Yup, helps having a high pain tolerance and exercise is super helpful.
She walked up Queen Anne hill every day when she was pregnant with Crookshanks, and then had to walk two miles every day during her Tiny T-Rex pregnancy.
Edit: Also, we're weird that way, so results will vary.

It doesn't stop at child birth, our first pediatrician wanted to do all this stuff with Crookshanks because "it's covered by your insurance (like "physical therapy" because the General and Crookshanks struggled with breast feeding right after the General gave birth when all she needed was a f!@@ing breast pump and a little encouragement).
We got a new doctor.
And then there was the time when they wanted to do X-rays and an MRI to test Crookshanks for lupus when she had an infected bug bite because "it's covered by your insurance"
Sadly, the best way to tell a scam doctor is to look at their bio, if they brag about helping people in third world countries they're most likely suckling at the teet of big insurance companies (most likely to fund their humanity projects).
At least that's been our experiences, Ymmv.

Oh! I took a couple of friends to see Toy Story in the theater after they didn't get enough LSD to share, and then afterwards they got a bunch of action figures at Shopko and spent the rest of the night hiding behind the couch insisting the group of toys on the coffee table just came to life.
But they got revenge on me when I scored shrooms in Madison and they took me to the theater for The Ghost and the Darkness.

Things I realized about going to Ohio:
1. I will be the only person for hundreds of miles who says dude on the regular.
2. No more beach stuff in the grocery store. This is a thing in Florida. Ask Ambrosia or Tac. You walk into a Publix, Winn-Dixie, or any other grocery chain, and there's an aisle devoted to beach toys, beach balls, liferafts, swimsuits, etc. It's usually on the wall near the front, but sometimes it's about two away from the dog food.
3. No more Publix subs! This...this is pretty awful to lose.
4. I won't have to explain how I hate the beach despite it being free entertainment within a five minute drive. Nobody cares if you hate the lake

1. Fry's mom is a tough S.O.B. so your statement that CY married Fry's mom has a certain basis to work with, until you realize that...
2. ....captain yesterday is named after Fry's superhero identity, Captain Yesterday, on the episode where, he and Leila get superpowers (and Bender joins just cause he's a robot and can do stuff). So...
3. ...You're insinuating he banged his own mom, which is pretty bad, until you consider that...
