Well then you are close enough if we ever do a FaWTL Minnesota gathering.:)

Scarab Sages

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA!!!

Now to celebrate by sitting around on my butt all day and doing not much of anything.

Scarab Sages

Except maybe read a bit. And maybe fix the downspout. And perhaps try to fix my bicycle. And help take care of the boy.

Scarab Sages

And maybe post around here a bit.

Looking forward to a new episode of True Blood tonight. It's an interesting series. Plus, there's always the chance of seeing Anna Paquin nekkid.

Mmmmmm.....

Is this an idle hope or does AP sometimes go nude?

'Cos if the latter, I'm going to start watching!

Liberty's Edge

Ahh, vacation.

See ya's later!

Watched Red River with John Wayne and Montgomery Clift again last night. It's awesome, of course. I think I generally prefer the Howard Hawks-directed flicks to the John Ford ones (although I like JF, too).

Anyway, what was the big deal about Brokeback Mountain again?

The sexual subtexts (and ambiguities) in this scene are pretty undeniable.

Probably all the sheep-shagging innuendo. I know that sort of thing isn't commented on on Gotland, but the rest of us kinda think that's one step too far. The poor beasts have no way of expressing their non-consensuality after all.

Look at those scarves. They know how to accessorize.

They threatened us with one, then we had a torrential downpour last night and a flood warning. Now fireworks are ON!!

Rsp: Order of the Stick.

Rich has off and on Health issues and while he was trying to stay ahead by making new episodes way in advance. It might have caught up with him. If so it might be a bit before we have much more than a guest comic or two.

The Exchange

I almost feel I can breath in here again.

Happy 4th of July!

Yes well, it was subtext. Not the main theme of the story.

No, the main theme was one man's obsessions with cows.

Pretty sick, if you ask me, but I try to be non-judgmental.

Still, bovine-love aside, one of my favorite westerns and probably my fave with ol' John Wayne.

we are all judgmental, it just the level in which we choose to be expressive about it. Honestly if I piped up more few people would be able to stand me, and I would seem a huge hypocrite.

The Duke will always be the exemplar of the cowboy model.

If you ever get bored he has a blog on the site. He goes into it a little, while still trying to be private about the specifics.

And she has started hitting ctrl v on teh computer to see what I may have copy or pasted. So teh last thing I copy and pasted was
'This copy and pasted message is not for you. ' Think she'll get the message?

people like this usually don't deal well with irony, if your her boss i would recomend a serious talk with a last warning

EDIT: um, nekkid stalking O.O :-/
