An impressive absence. I went down with food poisoning for 24 hours and came back to 400 new ones

If there's one thing FaWtL doesn't slouch at, it's post count, that's for sure. :)

Well, this seems like an appropriate time to say happy birthday, NH! ;)

Hope every-FaWtL is doing well, life is treating ye right, things are going yer way, etc, etc. Been a while since I've checked in and don't exactly have the time to trawl 40k+ posts, so general well wishes is all I've got for now. :P

Life and work are mental these days. Wound up getting back with the ex I have the son with, and now we're getting married in December. Still working in the new job I got in the capital last I was posting about, but working alongside my then manager now, so moving up, and keeping as busy as one would expect from all that. Turning 30 this time next month, which I'm actually quite looking forward to, so full of excitement these days. :)

Yup mostly true.
It is really that I'm all that against the whole chopping parts of your enemies for various purposes (heck, I got a character that's a wee bit too much into cutting off the heads of his foes - ie head-taking). Its simply that, in my experience, it rarely stops there. So I'll rather be up front and say "No cock-nunchucks", that way I stop the "ovarian bolas" and "intestinal garrotes" from ever being a thing…

Which is kinda of an outlier…as I'm actually into some rather dark, gritty and downright depressing stuff. I just feel its a curtesy to label that pretty clearly "on the outside of the tin". I'm also fine with toning that stuff down when GM'ing for peps that aren't into that, tastes differ after all.

But really, I just want everyone to have fun and feel comfortable.

*Pats Mort*

Now you'll have to excuse me, I have to prepare for guests and gaming tonight.

Edit: *Waddles gingerly up to nude Lyn, blushes, before stammering out*

Do-do you need a towel, blanket or the like pretty miss?

*Keeping his eyes down as best he can (ie not very well ^^)*

HOLY CARP, I WAS LITERALLY JUST ABOUT TO ASK ABOUT YOU~!

(No, seriously, I came to FaWtL at this exact moment to: ask if anyone had seen or heard from you, specifically, and also if they'd happened to hear from TinFoilYamakah, Tordek, David Mallon, Kajehase, Aranna, and others from the roll-call, a while back!)

SO GLAD TO SEE YOU!

HAPPY NH'S BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Oh, the other thing I was about to mention, is that Season Six, Episode Three of Voltron: Legendary Defender has me grinning ear to ear. XD

Sigh.

RE: Spoiler. I think you are mistaking me for another FwWtLer (or three). While I griped a lot, my fiftieth year was quite a good one.

And honestly, I think being sober had a LOT to do with it. I have more memories of this last year than I do of pretty much my entire 40's.

The saggy pants? Which sounds more like a tailoring problem than anything else

Whee, got all six syllabi written/tweaked and a good start on my second set of notes for the new history class! Now I face my greatest challenge: having the "you have food at home" talk with myself as I have to drive by every fast food option available in the tiny town on my way home.

I hate math. So much.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I posted this elsewhere, on a more apropraite forum, but these numbers fascinate me, and let me stretch some math muscles.

My Hero Academia power levels:

Deku's estimated full-power:
961,024,474,944,854,345,728 lbs of force per punch
7,450,580,596,923,828,125 lbs of force is the lowest possible full force.
I calculated that number by utilizing the way the quirk is described to work, i.e It stores and multiplies the full potential of each holder.
I then looked up the average punching power of a black belt in karate/average human athletes punch
Took the highest human potential for two of the holders (all-might and All-for-One) and multiplied them all together
So the top one is my educated guess, and the bottom one is the lowest stats required for inheriting the power without exploding.
This means at minimum, Deku's acceleration potential is 827,842,288,547,092,013 in./s^2
Which is just shy of 70,139,170 times the speed of light
I'm nearly positive that this makes him more powerful than Goku has ever been. and proves beyond a doubt, that 1) we've yet to see his full power, and 2) his quirk does strengthen his body.

Edit: this is extremely humorous to me, as it follows Freehold's post.

It is hard to believe, but each season does get better.

AND Season 1 is WAY up there on my favorite anime seasons.

but, I do need to put that on the list to get next shopping day, since I am running low.

Birthday Rage Time:
It's the third Wednesday of the month, so at precisely noon I put up the "No Parking: Street Sweeping" sign and moved the Celica to the other side of the street.

And not a moment has passed since then that there hasn't been a pickup truck parked in the spot (first a gardener, now a roofer).

And it's the same as with the guy who hit the Celica: It hardly seems worth calling the police over, but WTF, people? What part of "No Parking" do you not understand?

EDIT: Yep. Same thing as the gardener. Parked for 10-15 minutes, then moved on. But with the spot constantly full of people parking "for just a few minutes", the probability of actually getting my street cleaned (necessary, because we have a nightmarish camphor tree shedding in our yard) gets lower and lower...

EDIT 2: Birthday Present: The street sweeper made it in! Woo hoo!
