5'11" (though I haven't measured my height in ages), shoe size, hmmm somewhere between wide 42 and 43... Maybe closer to 43. What? You mean in your weird American numbers? That's, uh... Between 9 and 9.5... Uh... Why women's shoe sizes are different than men's shoe sizes?

U.S. sizes get even better: They vary by manufacturer.

Our itty-bitty choir director put it best: She wears anywhere between a size 00 and a size 6, depending on the store. (She's roughly Scint size; maybe 5'1", and possibly breaks 100 pounds, but only when wet.)

I think at this point I'd cheerfully vote to have the beancounters who deny such claims required to undergo all future medical and dental procedures without anaesthesia. Because they obviously feel it's unimportant.

Teensy Valeros is doing the standard thing of deciding that food is "horrible", "gross", and "disgusting" before he's tried it, bursting into tears, throwing a tantrum, and demanding dried cereal.

And when he didn't get his way, sat on the staircase outside the dining room playing his harmonica sadly until it got taken away.
And I thought Hermione was a drama queen.

(Dinner, btw, was a crimini mushroom, red pepper and Italian sausage risotto with fresh basil, and roasted asparagus (or "despairagus" as Val calls it) on the side. Not in the least disgusting unless you don't particularly like risotto.).

I am doing my best not to let it hurt my feelings. Hermione went through this phase as well (albeit without the sad harmonica) and now eats everything I make.

Yeah it’s a super annoying phase. Sometimes it takes longer to grow out of than others....kidlet currently eats like five things and that’s it. I keep reminding myself that my sister wouldn’t eat vegetables until she was like 18 or so, so there’s still some hope...

My niece has apparently hit this phase at all of age 6.

The good news is many vegetables are on her list of "will eat without complaint" bizarrely.

The bad news is that most main courses - meats, breads (other than french fries), eggs, etc. - she either is really picky about or eats incredibly slowly and very little thereof. The two weeks they were out here almost every meal was filled with her parents having to basically push her to finish each meal.

And no, it's not a vegetarian/vegan thing.

My Youngest tonight cried tears of horror and physical pain because I gave him a bite of... cake.

He ate a couple of broccoli to cheer himself up, thereafter (and Mac-n-cheese).

For clarification, with every new food, we have a, “at least <one-to-three, depending>, good, solid ((if not necessarily large) bites” policy - I was only asking for one.

Seriously... this morning, my son had legos, coins, and a puzzle eraser in his underpants. WTF?

It's sort of like a dragon/turtle combination: carrying your horde of treasure around with you.

Girl children do not do this.

Lol. This is hilarious!

And no, the kidlet did not do this. He did go through a phase where he would pull off his clothes every time my back was turned and throw them around though, underpants included. But he was not all about using them as pockets.

So, 1) my Youngest has very exacting fashion demands and expectations, and these do not necessarily line up to... anything. We have forced him to put pants on to go outside, however.

2) A correction: Eldest apparently uses the “front of his pants” to SMUGGLE “feathers” (which include all sorts of things, but mostly feathers) “past” Mommy and I. As if we didn’t know he was bringing in feathers or similar. As if we didn’t see them later. As if he didn’t have, you know, pockets that we ALSO DON’T CHECK. (He likes feeling them, it has told his aunt that they are very uncomfortable in the front of his pants, so that is definitely not it...)

Gelato has a lower fat content than ice cream so that definitely effects the taste and texture. But if it tastes bland then you got bad gelato. It should not be bland.

Wow...

Yes. You got very very sad gelato.

Its entire raison d'etre is to be a kind of concentrated, turbo-flavored ice cream. Eating a single cone of gelato is something you do on a dare; it's just too chocolaty (or whatever).

So something called gelato with no flavor is just sad. It should be smoother and far more flavorful than ice cream. Not just a little. And definitely NOT flavorless.

Here's a nice description.

Well, then, I don't recommend...*looks at jar* Talenti brand gelato, which I only got because I really like pistachio ice cream, and the bits of pistachio were the best part, but you can just freeze a bag of pistachios...

Ooh! Yeah, talenti is crap. Funny thing was when I saw your first post my first thought was wondering if it was talenti. :)

I think that was the moment I stopped thinking of "gold" or "platinum" membership levels as status symbols.

Now, if there were a "gold-pressed latinum" membership level, that I would consider.

as an aside, I will be issuing gold pressed latinum as use for currency within the abscondi-cave. Use it for everything and anything, from ice cream sundaes to massages or just plain throwing at the tv when your sports team loses/you discover your show is being cancelled/the fictional character you are in a relationship with carries on with that guy/gal on screen instead of leaving them for you(which is by far the wiser option).

Note that these gold pressed latinum pieces will have my picture on them, and be worthless outside of the abscondi-cave.

I am also having a full bar and grill installed. I am in the process of hiring reasonable facsimiles of all the Doctors to act as bartenders, each of whom will know how to make their signature number drink.

*Purrs at TOZ*

TOZ – all the guys here have to serve compulsory national service and it entails a physical fitness test every year. This is the scoring
There are 2 other stations, sit ups and push ups. Lets say the average score for 31-34 years for males would be 14:10, which I am 1 min and 10 seconds off. I am my BF’s running buddy, so I need to meet the male standards. Which, admittedly is rather rough.

How do I put it? My BF does any kind of physical activity better then I do – he said on the actual test he managed 14:40 for 2.4km, which I’m still off. Basically he’s talented, but lazy, and for me I’m on the opposite side of the spectrum. Everything I’ve achieved is through sheer grit and training. Though I’m more reliable then he is when it comes to running in the sense that I’ll just set a rather slow pace, and keep plodding continuously, no stops, no breaks. Think about the tortoise and the hare – where I’m the tortoise.

Bludgeoner removes the penalty if you are using a bludgeoning weapon. Stage Combatant removes the penalty for any weapon you have Weapon Focus with. Both are in Ultimate Combat.

Vidmaster7 – try Pilates. The last time on tampines sports hub opening, they were offering free classes, so I signed up for pilates, which my colleague said would help with my fat tummy. So I went for the course and boy was it tough. Good thing back then I did Yoga every Monday, so I did have some foundation in the core work. The old auntie next to me was fine, but sitting in a V-shape is tiring as fk. Again, I was outperforming some polytechnic students ;)

But school physical education sessions will never make you do that much core work,so they were unprepared for that kind of thing. Again that old auntie had been doing yoga for over a decade, so she definitely was definitely better then I was at it.

Touching my toes is a sometimes food for me. Without yoga it’d be a not at all thing.
