Some people have no taste.

Or pants.

Some people... ^.^

I wear shorts, most of the time.

I'm a bit behind on my writeup, but the Rainbow ("Please stop calling us that." "NEVER.") had only one room left when their rides arrived.

On the one hand, I feel bad for the kid who hates the group name, but the other kids have latched onto it so hard that I can't stop using it in my head.

Sure is nice having a morning where I'm not getting rained on.

Can the figurehead at the prow be carved to resemble Debbie Reynolds? Can the ship be haunted/cursed so that crew members and passengers will randomly break into a musical?

So basically the pirates from Galavant?

You know, if you combined the Galavant pirates with Pirates of the Caribbean II, you might actually have a decent movie. I would watch singing, dancing zombie pirates in a heartbeat. And organize the first fan con.

Some days (OK, MANY days), I soooooooo feel Scintillae's pain.

Impus Major's English Teacher: So, how many people are ready to turn in their final drafts today to get the bonus points for early submission?
(not a single hand goes up)
IMET: OK, so what could I do to encourage more of you to be done early?
Impus Major's Classmate: Make the early submission bonus worth more than the essay itself?
...
(later that same class)
IMET: OK, we've had a good discussion about what makes someone your friend. So, let's look at the other side. What makes someone your enemy?
Impus Major: When they keep you away from Flavor Town!
IMET: (Buries face in hands)
IMET: Impus Major, you are banned from ever mentioning Guy Fieri in class again.

All I want to know is: How much did Impus Major do before this, to get himself banned from mentioning a celebrity chef?

In other news, during my sick day yesterday I binge watched the rest of Attack on Titan Season 2, and call me a heretic, but I just don't understand the hubbub.

It is a perfectly-decent, dark, gritty anime series, with serious logical and storytelling flaws.

So while I found it "watchable", I'm not recommending it to any of my friends, nor do I understand the obsession with it.

I know, Freehold, I know. "Read the manga!"

My house is already too full of crap. I'm not buying the manga for every series that's supposed to be SO much better in manga form than anime...

its not so much that the manga is better as it is DIFFERENT. It is darker, makes a *little* more sense, and has a lot more characters and better characterization, although there are some things that were easier to parse as an animation.

It is the difference between asking your wife to describe you, and asking lisamarlene to describe you.

NobodysHome's Weather Observation of the Day:

  • 65° and sunny is a very warm day; almost too warm, and it is pleasant to have the house open all day
  • 65° and overcast with a light breeze is a cold day, and you soon want to close up the house and turn on the heat

  • It's really, really bizarre. I hadn't noticed it until today. But it's overcast and dim, there's maybe a persistent 5-7 mph breeze, and it just feels cold inside. The thermometer reads 63°, but it sure doesn't feel like it!
