The Buxom Lass (with suitably gaudy figurehead)
The Third Leg (with suitably gaudy figurehead)
Besmara's Wink
The Unsinkable VII
The Concordance of Colors (it's a rainbow, stupid *slaps random crewmember*)
Rogue Trader or Only War (ease 'em into 40k)
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Flintlocks
The White/Red/Black or Pale Hippocampus
A few more suggestions:

So basically the pirates from Galavant?
You know, if you combined the Galavant pirates with Pirates of the Caribbean II, you might actually have a decent movie. I would watch singing, dancing zombie pirates in a heartbeat. And organize the first fan con.

Some days (OK, MANY days), I soooooooo feel Scintillae's pain.
Impus Major's English Teacher: So, how many people are ready to turn in their final drafts today to get the bonus points for early submission?
(not a single hand goes up)
IMET: OK, so what could I do to encourage more of you to be done early?
Impus Major's Classmate: Make the early submission bonus worth more than the essay itself?
...
(later that same class)
IMET: OK, we've had a good discussion about what makes someone your friend. So, let's look at the other side. What makes someone your enemy?
Impus Major: When they keep you away from Flavor Town!
IMET: (Buries face in hands)
IMET: Impus Major, you are banned from ever mentioning Guy Fieri in class again.
All I want to know is: How much did Impus Major do before this, to get himself banned from mentioning a celebrity chef?

In other news, during my sick day yesterday I binge watched the rest of Attack on Titan Season 2, and call me a heretic, but I just don't understand the hubbub.
It is a perfectly-decent, dark, gritty anime series, with serious logical and storytelling flaws.
So while I found it "watchable", I'm not recommending it to any of my friends, nor do I understand the obsession with it.
I know, Freehold, I know. "Read the manga!"
My house is already too full of crap. I'm not buying the manga for every series that's supposed to be SO much better in manga form than anime...

its not so much that the manga is better as it is DIFFERENT. It is darker, makes a *little* more sense, and has a lot more characters and better characterization, although there are some things that were easier to parse as an animation.
It is the difference between asking your wife to describe you, and asking lisamarlene to describe you.

I've never considered an early submission bonus. Hm...
Also, sounds like Impus Major is cooking up some trouble...

It's Guy Fieri, once is enough.

They just hate him with a Fieri passion.

NobodysHome's Weather Observation of the Day:
It's really, really bizarre. I hadn't noticed it until today. But it's overcast and dim, there's maybe a persistent 5-7 mph breeze, and it just feels cold inside. The thermometer reads 63°, but it sure doesn't feel like it!

He was Fronkensteened together from GM's leftover Pontiac parts bins.

You know, if you combined the Galavant pirates with Pirates of the Caribbean II, you might actually have a decent movie. I would watch singing, dancing zombie pirates in a heartbeat. And organize the first fan con.
I was thinking of something else, but Galavant works too.

I'm hoping for Penzance, but I'm pretty sure they're too young for that to be appreciated.

NobodysHome's Weather Observation of the Day:
65° and sunny is a very warm day; almost too warm, and it is pleasant to have the house open all day
65° and overcast with a light breeze is a cold day, and you soon want to close up the house and turn on the heat
It's really, really bizarre. I hadn't noticed it until today. But it's overcast and dim, there's maybe a persistent 5-7 mph breeze, and it just feels cold inside. The thermometer reads 63°, but it sure doesn't feel like it!
Sunny and 75 and I am loving it!

Tired, Sweaty and a bit moody.
I guess I'm alright, I mean I can't really complain about too much, just feeling somewhat down and moody.
So slurping a bit of red wine, and pine-ing a bit for things I can't have/and not good at achieving.
Right there with ya, chief. Minus the wine . . . . lol

they work for me. Consider this punishment for loving seasons other than winter.

Impus Major was a villain material long before that.
Although whatever happens now can shape what kind of villain he will be...
