How I'd make Eleven from Stranger Things.

So, as lisamarlene will confirm, I am kind, and considerate, and compassionate, and generous to a(n annoying) fault.

Then, something happens, and I need a favor.

And the stampede of people seeking to lend me a hand is extraordinarily gratifying.

Do not seek to give what you receive; rather focus on receiving what you give.

That bit of philosophy brought to you by...:

Impus Minor got home and informed us that there is a mandatory, "If you're not there you're not in the play rehearsal," on May 5. We'll be in Disneyland.

So I e-mailed the co-director. And the conversation was essentially, "Chaperone Joe needs a favor? DONE!" (I kind of love that name. I'm keeping it.)

I didn't have to plead or argue or make a fuss, it was just, "Oh, holy spit we can do something for HIM for once!"

It's VERY nice.

On the other hand, Impus Minor is now convinced that I possess Black Magical Powers.
As opposed to Freehold's Black Manliness Powers (TM).

We're about to get hit with our first severe weather of the season.

Should be an interesting night.

Yeah probably but it's hardly the first bit of bad news I've had in the past few days, so hit me. Better sooner than later.

Day 19(?) of ~0 Carb Diet

...Really, I'm the victim here.

Yeah I sort of get that...mind you if you get hungry without carbs, I suggest chickpeas.

I can never stick to a low carb diet, especially now that I know how to make carbonara and cacio e pepe pretty quickly.

If you like chickpeas, these roasted chickpeas are delicious even without the salad. Warning though, they are very more-ish.

Also, my wisdom teeth never came in. I don't know if they never formed, if they're still hiding in my gums, or if they're off having magical exciting tooth adventures without me.

I was a copious drinker in my early to mid 20s until I figured out that prescribed medication is much better at alleviating/suppressing my anxiety disorder. Giving yourself a combination near migraine and near panic attack because you're worried about bizarre, highly improbable contraindications from taking your newly-prescribed anti-anxiety medication is apparently a huge DUH! symptom.

On the radio this morning, the DJ was talking about an issue he had with his new phone. He wanted it to take a note while he was driving, so he said "Hey, Alexa, take a note". The phone did nothing. So he said it again "Hey, Alexa, take a note". Still nothing. Now he's annoyed because his brand new phone isn't working. So he's driving through town shouting at his phone "HEY ALEXA TAKE A NOTE!!!" And still nothing. He gets to a red light, and grabs the phone. That's when he realizes that it's an iPhone, so he needed to say "Siri" instead of "Alexa". What confused him even more is that he doesn't have any Alexa devices, so he can't figure out why he suddenly decided to call his iPhone Alexa instead of Siri.

His Lordship, our landlord/housemate, sent me an email with a link to a YouTube video by John "Mars/Venus" Gray, writing that he thought it was highly important and I should make it a priority.

And it's only because we've been friends for six years that I actually clicked on the link and listened to it while I assembled the new rabbit hutch at school this evening.

Now I'm dreading the inevitable "So what did you think of that video?" conversation, because it was an insufferable load of horse cookies by a man I would dearly like to bludgeon to death with one of his own volumes. A hardbound onmibus edition would be my preference.

But aren't Kitties suppose to be soft? ^^
I kind of the other way around; too moody, pessimistic and obsessive. Really, I'm no good at the "look at the bright side of things" and to be honest I don't really see that much use for it. I guess I've become comfortable, or at least, used to viewing everything with a detached ironic and darkly humorous cynicism.

Though you do seem to be such an interesting Kitty...
I really wouldn't mind sitting down for a game or drink with you, maybe we would rub off on each other, getting to a happier medium.

Edit: Uhhh... just spotted unintentionally delicious/fanfic-a-licious wording!
And, Nope I'm keeping it ;P.

*purrs*

I think myself as a pragmatic sort of cat. And I have a large streak of I did what I had to do in me. So if the situation needs I can be rather cold and calculative.

But I also know that I know the forbidden cheese, so I need to keep thinking happy thoughts to keep it sealed away from the world.

Tapping into forbidden cheese drains my sanity meter anyway. ("With great cheese comes great insanity")

You see with knowing the forbidden cheese is when you tap into it for power, Spidey was right, with great power comes great responsibility. What right do you have to tap in to that and make it unfun for the rest of the table by steamrolling through everything?

Or making the GM up the difficulty just to challenge you such that it screws the rest of the party over as a result?

If you actually use those powers for duelling/PVP, that makes you no better then a schoolyard bully picking on someone smaller then you, just because you can.

Though in RL, yeah I'm a small little bit. Just ask Hi =)

It's from a song by M. Boney. That verse goes "Ra Ra Rasputin, Lover of the Russian Queen. He was a cat that really was gone. Ra Ra Rasputin, Russia's greatest love machine. It was a shame how he carried on."

Dejah isn't. Thuvia isn't. Good thing too, as Venus' toxic atmosphere would do those brass bikinis no good at all.
