The Chinese name is Qe pe. It's a kind of juniper I think from how it looks, but don't do it until I can get the right name. Because plants may look similar but some of them may be poisonous.

Try rub some peppermint oil on your temples, also, do you have Traditional Chinese Medicine where you are? They might be able to help with long term health issues.

Me: Yes.
Girl: When are you free?
Me: Never. I always have plans.
Girl gives me a teary kitten-eyes look for about a minute before taking the hint and leaving.
Coworker: That was Batman villain cold.
Me: I would be in costume, but Nora is refueling my gun.
Coworker: What.
Me: And you call yourself a nerd.

I just rewatched that episode of Batman TAS the other day.

Am I the only one who would pay good money to see, "Freehold: The Series" made?

No. It would certainly be entertaining. Make it an anime.

For the last seven years, ever since we first moved into our neighborhood, I have had my eye on a pretty little bungalow up the block... mostly because it had a lush front garden of xeriscaped California native plants, but also because it had a heavy carved wooden front door lacquered in red. This week the house finally went on the market and what did the realtor do? Cut back the front garden to a third of its former glory and replace the beautiful front door with ultra modern frosted glass that has no character whatsoever.

It's similar to when Helena Bonham Carter cut off her locks into that brutal pixie cut for Fight Club. I'm out of love.

Why does real estate - especially in California - seem to cause people to make really poor decisions about the house in question? Yeuch. I’m so sorry lm.

Before canceling my Hulu account, I made the mistake of asking my mother if she's in the middle of watching anything. She said "No, but have you watched the Handmaid's Tale yet?"

So now Mrs. Sunrise and I are about four episodes in, and this s~#$ is dark. Like, even given my recent trend of grimdark stuff, this s@@& is dark as f+&!. But really good!

You...want to watch...me? What?

I mean, I could see making Orthos watch it or something, but that would be just to hear him make Kiff noises.

Would it be like a web-series, soap opera, sitcom or what? cause no in any case. (no offense)

Well, consider that my mind is just this, this, and this on repeat, maybe an anime wouldn't be a bad idea.

Oh yeah, and this and this and this.

Seems like anime is probably the way to go.

By looks alone someone pulls out one of those they can have my wallet even if they weren't trying to rob me. Just for good measures really.

Really though its all about that energy source the rest is easy.

You see if you don't like what the monkey is saying, we'll get him to the restroom until we get one that makes sense? :)

Also, I had some matters to attend to. And also work so rather late.

He used Lithium ion batteries to charge the capacitors. Rechargeable Nickel-metal Hydride batteries would be just as effective. And since they're rechargeable, they won't go into landfills. Clicking the link below the video sends you to the pages that describe the theory and construction details.

I can still talk from the bathroom. I just HAVE TO TALK LOUDER SO YOU CAN STILL HEAR ME.

I feel like we are losing the infinite monkeys typing analogy somewhere. So many questions... like was it a infinite number of bananas and bathrooms also how does him talking louder effect his typeing...

One of the monkeys accidentally hit Caps Lock.

I mean...Ook ook, eek. I is an infinite number of monkeys. Give me food or some of me will throw an indeterminate amount of feces at you. Ook.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Really any sub-slice of infinite is infinite too so Its probably going to be a infinite amount of feces. Also good luck feeding all those monkeys so no matter what it sounds like your getting an infinite amount of feces thrown at you.

Lol that backfired spectacularly.

And it all ended up with monkey poo being thrown around.

We're walking to school today, seeing as how it's already 40+ degrees outside.

We didn't take The Princess with, I hope she doesn't revenge poop all over the house.

"This kneecap really could use an extra crotch!" - Tiny T-Rex, on the walk to school.

Which was quickly followed up with.

"Do you think you can make a crotch out of wood?"

"Yes, I suppose so..."

Lynora - it is done. After quite some sleuthing and help from my mom with the Chinese dictionary - this is the Chinese name for the herb(it's a small tree) in question:

側柏叶

Han yu ping ying: Ce bai

I got the Han yu ping ying wrong earlier.

Scientific name: PLatycladus orientalis(L.)Franco

Usage: Get 4-5 pieces of leaves the size of your palm and throw it into 500 ml of boiling water. Then turn off the fire and let it steep for half an hour. Then drink everything. Its slightly waxy and tastes rather green but oh well...

More about the tree in question
