Hopefully, work cancelled tomorrow. The streets are too hazardous.

But if work was run by people with anything resembling a functioning capacity to use basic reason, it would have been cancelled today when the roads started to ice over. And not told the students to go home a full three hours later, two hours before the rest of us were let go.

I might be a wee bit bitter about nearly dying a few times on my way home.

Yikes! That’s awful! Glad you made it home safely and sorry that your work was so out of touch with reality. :(

Edit: naked sympathy. Of course. *gets dressed*

Path of exile bestiary league is coming out on 3rd March. It really sounds like a case of Path of Exile - Pokemon edition. I want to do an essence drain contagion trickster, for fast pack clear speed, but it tends to be rather indiscriminate when it comes to killing. It kills everything in the said area.

Oh I like Pokemon.

Summoner and flameblast Templar also have little control on how the killing is done.
And I like lazy builds that don't need a lot of clicking because if I click too much with my right hand, my left shoulder will start to ache. Yeah it's been that way for some time...

Mmmph what should I play?

Overall I still prefer Hulu over Netflix, by quite a bit.

But they have more comedies and cartoons, so that's probably why.

Half the roads leading out of town to the south are flooded.

Of course that's where most people who commute come in to town.

Tiny T-Rex and I braved the freezing rain for subs from Glass Nickel Pizza Co, they also have pizza but their hot subs are best!

And quite reasonably priced. :-)

And we're not that heroic, it's only five blocks away.

Control... Captain yesterday, control - Said the Cat with gritted teeth.

Oh I went back and reread my old Strange Aeons discussion(last part). I still feel angry over it and someone was saying I was acting irritationally. And said I should learn something from this.

I may be reading it the wrong way of course, but my takeaway is that people who PBP on paizo forums are not the kind of people I want to run PBPs for,nor game with as a whole, since they're all about player entitlement. And care only about their benefits(loots). The world could burn down and they wouldn't give a sh*t.

In that case what they should do is buy an AP and run it solo for themselves and they can go burn down the world without pissing anyone off. And if the person was doing it in question for science, well that's his/her business. I don't care what you do in your private lab so long as you're harming no one in RL.

And also another takeaway is probably that I should take some more time off before I try a post mortem analysis of the whole thing.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'm pretty sure most of them do own the AP and they just need someone to help referee their fan fiction.

At least the campaign journals are actual fan fiction.

The Exchange

Which brings me to the point, do I care to run an AP solo for myself? Probably not worth the trouble since I don't have any monster mechanics to learn since I'm not GMing/playing anymore, so yeah I could, but why would I bother? Reading the book already gives me the story so there's really no need to.

And you've learned it! Congratulations!

Shiro and I were discussing it today: The groups that are fun to run for or game with are the groups that are just there to enjoy themselves, tell a cooperative story, and whatever happens, happens.

ONE player whining about not getting WBL, or that the GM is misinterpreting the rules, or that (my personal favorite), "Since *I* can do it in real life, it's obvious my character should be able to do it," and the whole campaign goes down the tubes.

Player entitlement is the disease that eats all the fun out of gaming.

Not that I'm opinionated or anything...

Their characters are not getting ripped apart by werewolves for failing a running check. Or shredded by bullets for not diving behind strong enough cover. Or going insane while being slowly eaten alive. Or killed by a nuclear landmine they didn't know was hidden under the floor tile. What are the PbPers complaining about?

So I went to Simply wrapps for lunch, and they mixed up my salad order of Singaporean mixed seafood with Korean salad, and prepared Korean salad instead. I figured that since simply wrapps targets the expat market – their Korean salad wouldn’t be all that spicy and I should be able to take it. So I told them, nevermind, I’ll take the Korean Salad (else the salad would probably be wasted). Korean salad, however involved raw onions, which are quite pungent. Spiciness I could take it, like I had expected. And prawns in sesame and chilli dip are pretty good.

I shall refrain from saying anything bad about raw onions, because I may regret it sometime down the road (like the statement about only nutcases eat raw garlic – and now I’m doing it in a soya sauce dip).

So to get the taste of raw onion out of my mouth, I decided to go to Mr Bean for their Soya bean icecream, as they have an App that is a steps tracker that tracks how many steps you get. For every certain amount of steps, you get to buy stuff from them at a discounted rate, and what was one of my rewards was soya bean icecream at half price.

Now I’m not the best person for step trackers – my Dad can easily clock 10k per day, I’ll only manage 3k or so. But nevermind, accumulating it over a long period of time does the trick.

I went to get the soya bean icecream, and it was wonderful! Better then the silly vanilla icecream you get at Mc Donalds. Again, my experiments with soya bean products like dou hua…would suggest I like soya bean products. So for all of you lactose intolerant dudes and dudettes out there, don’t worry, if you can’t take milk, there’s soya milk, and its delicious!

Oh no, Gran!

I wanted to say *A wild Gran has appeared!*, then toss a pokeball at you to practice my leet throwing skillz for Path of Exile Bestiary new league. But now I feel guilty about thinking such thoughts…

Pelting people with tomatoes? Sounds fun but…an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. Or maybe everyone in catsup.

John – those were before my time - before I was born actually. Never saw them.

Pretty sure that you haven't worn me down enough for me to get caught in a Pokeball.

And waste not, want not.

But with a curved ball throw, you can catch Pokemon! If not, give the pokemon more treats first...

*lays out some sourdough bread laced with razz berries*

Gran you remind me of one of these

For the rest of FAWTL, if you remind me of pokemons I may venture a guess.

I am still not a Pokemon. Why do I remind you of a mime? And why did you ruin the sourdough with raspberries? Those things are terrible.

Awww...

Hmm because you're a clown?

Now I did eat some bread with... Oh. I think they were cranberries.

All berries look the same to me.

Cranberries are no good either.

I do think it's kind of funny that you don't want to shoot a tomato cannon at people, but you're fine with trapping me in a tiny magic ball.

But I'd release you once I'm done practicing! It's the catch and release thing, like fishing! Besides throwing tomatoes, throwing poke balls, they're all round objects right?

And I also suggested to catch TL in a pokeball!

The Exchange

Huh you don't eat four leaves cranberry bread?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I don't like cranberries, so I don't eat them. Ever.

The Exchange

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I like four leaves cranberry bread. One of my favourites. So the idea of not liking cranberry bread to me is ? And I like cranberry scones. Admittedly they use dried craneberries and not fresh for both bread and scones.

I don't mind dried craneberries, though dried figs and apricots taste better.

Besides I was the one going around preaching forgiveness, so I’m not really the sort that would shoot tomatoes at people who make me angry. So that's the reasoning for not using tomato cannons. Besides, you know my dislike for firearms is...legendary :P

If I do decide to pick up my GM hat again, I will need to examine the whole matter to see what went wrong. And how to prevent that kind of incident from happening. But since all it does is frustrate me at this point of time and anger is detrimental to rational thought, it just means I am not ready yet.

Might I offer thee an tomato flail, or tomato footman's mace*?

'Tis a bit of a one-shot item, verily, but mightily pleasing to use.

Ye tomato halberd and tomato hand and a half sword are likely to be in development for some considerable time, so don't hold thy breath.

The mace belonging to a footman with a tomatohead is a tad creepy, at least it it wasn't a pyramid head.

I'd take the footman's mace. Smacking someone on their heads with a tomato mace gives a lovely squelch!

I eat everything except for things that are bitter. Sour I also don't take too much off, but we can talk about it, since I've been known to eat rather sour tomatoes. Or pour malt vinegar on my fish and chips/squeeze some lemon juice on.

Too spicy I also can't take, otherwise anything else goes. Ain't picky.

My BF is going into a foray into 5e. He wants to play a rogue.

*light facepalm*

Then he wants to play an advance scout out the area and report to the group type of character.

Then he chose halfling.

Me:Urm...dungeons are dark and you have no Darkvision.. And a torch... Is going to light up the area like a Christmas tree.

I think I'm too practical for my own good.
