I can't imagine peacocks taste great, though I believe that roast peacock was a dish in ye olden dayes. Probably just a prestige thing - 'I am so reech, I can eat peacocks, regardless of whether or not I enjoy it' - like that burger covered in gold leaf you can buy.

They're also very unpleasant beasts, but so are geese, and goose is tasty.

EDIT: As am I, plucked and oven-ready.

Not endangered but I'm sure there's a statute that prohibits it.

Ah ha!

“wild animals and birds” includes all species of animals and birds of a wild nature, but does not include domestic dogs and cats, horses, cattle, sheep, goats, domestic pigs, poultry and ducks.

3. The Minister may by order —

(c) prohibit within Singapore or any part thereof the killing or taking of any wild animal or bird;

5.—(1) Any person who kills, takes or keeps any wild animal or bird, other than those specified in the Schedule, without a licence shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $1,000 and to the forfeiture of the wild animal or bird.

There we go. No eating of peacocks.

Goose is good. Dark sauce, light soya sauce, galangal, ginger, spring onion, si chuan pepper corns and stir fried... Mmph. I've been on my paws for the last 5hs and I haven't had any meat since then. And my oreos are gone =(

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I could make that. Is thier much of a difference between duck goose and dark meat chicken?

The Exchange

Goose tastes like duck actually. Might be a bit tougher.

Chickens don't have dark meat. Even black chickens are still considered as a white meat. If you get a chance to take black chickens, do it. The meat is sweeter and more flavorful and less fatty then your normal chicken.

They are usually found in herbal soups.

Go and hydrate yourself. That is drink a lot of water. Pop an aspirin if you have a headache.

Gatorade is better. You've got to replace the Electrolytes. The sugars can't hurt either. When you can tolerate it, eat something high in protein, like Pizza. Thirty-nine and hung over? Been there and done that.

I'm keeping track of the birthdays of as many of my friends that I can. I'm up to fifteen people.

Late game last night, and it didn't go well. Should have called it off when only three players showed...

I found all the sugar they put in it cancels out any supposed health benefits.

Water for me.

Last night we had a guy come in at 11 wearing tinted aviator sunglasses with Lucky Charms stuck to the back of his vest.
He then bought a 16 inch bike in a box.

Wandered around the store (being followed, of course) for 15 minutes.

Tried to return the bike but didn't have his ID, manager offered to void the sale but he insisted he needed the bike.

Almost left twice without his bike.

Then spent 3 dollars in quarters (which he had to get from the service desk) on gumballs from our gumball machine spilling most of them on the floor.

He then spent ten minutes eating gumballs off the floor, tried to leave without the bike and then disappeared into the nether.

This happened awhile back:

Bring a cat home from the vet after an operation. Cat is still on pain killers.

Open the cage. The cat tries to run out. Makes it two feet before falling down. Cat tries to stand, falls down again. Cat then looks around and mews in complaint that the world won't stay still. End up carrying the cat to their bed.

Final Fantasy 15, how is it?

And more specifically, would you like it if you were a thirteen year old girl.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

From what I've seen of let's-plays of it, it's a little easier than most RPGs, in the sense that you don't have to manage your whole party - you control just the main character and you can give commands to your allies but they're otherwise AI-run.

Kids are pretty good at learning the systems so I wouldn't worry too much that it's a bit on the complex side.

The downside is that the kid might be annoyed or upset that there are extremely few female characters in the cast, and only one of them is recruitable to your party and even then only temporarily. Most of the time your party is going to be the same four guys.

Not terrible. Only a memorable entry to the series because of the controversy it generated over a lack of female protagonists. Beyond that, not really one I'd recommend for someone wanting a good FF game, but also not as terrible as some entries have been.

Quote:

I would make a fan of the game watch as as I inserted into their game or computer system and then EMPed it to sacrifice it to the dark god of technology. That's going by the thirteen year old girls I am related to.

Its pretty bad. The only 13 year old girls i know would be into it for carnal purposes, as the boys are cute.

To be fair, I haven't liked any FF or any other game Sqeenix made after 12. I only kinda liked part 10 and 12, I disliked all of the online ones immensely, and Tactics is the only peripheral I liked (but it is easily one of the top 3 games I've ever played). Really, I only enjoyed 4, 6, 7, and 9. 5 was garbage (but I respect it's job system was revolutionary for the time), 8 was f+&&ing AWFUL (f@## that draw system - making me spend 45 minutes a battle to suck a new spell out when I meet a monster I've never found before - and that story was garbage - "Oh, look, we all just happen to be orphans from the same orphanage and have weird memory loss and forgot that but conveniently remember near the end" - and don't get me started on that shoehorned romance that made NO sense whatsoever - two characters immensely dislike each other and then suddenly are in love because reasons). 1 was a f~&!ing grind-fest, and I HATE grinding, and I never played the Japanese 2 or 3.

Honestly, Squeezienixeriffic fell from grace in my eyes long ago. It seems like all they do lately is remaster stuff or put together pretty pieces of s$+$. But a turd with pretty wrapping paper is still a turd.

I'm more of an Obsidian guy lately, with Bethesda a seriously close second.

How could you not like 5?!?

I love final fantasy 1-6, x (for lulu only), and x2 (i will never forgive the lack of lulu) and TACTICS!

Thats about it.

As much as i love final fantasy legend, that is the saga series, and has NOTHING to do with FF.

May a blind doctor give you a vasectomy for such foulness, sir.

Truth be told I have been dry for a long time now. I'm sufficing off the generosity of other amateur botanists as I wait for my new job to start. But, as I said, potheads are generous people, and despite not having purchased weed since moving two months ago, I end up getting stoned on average once a week. Gotta love stoner generosity.

When was the last time you heard of alcoholics getting their broke friends drunk every week? Consistently for two months, at that!

Did I mention I got hired at a new company? I'm going to be working at a casino! Well, sorta. Full casinos aren't legal in Florida, but I will be playing poker for a living starting next week.

I'm a "designated player" - which apparently means I do everything the dealer does but actually deal, because the gambling establishments aren't allowed to bank their own tables in Florida. I was told that it is based on the laws in California - the players self-bank, and the "casino" (dog track, horse track, or other peripheral gambling establishment in Florida) collects a percentage regardless of who wins. So, third party companies basically jump in and play the role of bank. Which I'll be doing.

Also, how f$~@ing sweet of a title is Designated Player? Something makes me feel like I have an influx of pick up lines I can work into that.

The story is s$!$. The translation was garbage. It required a heavy amount of grinding. There were many parts where the game didn't really hint at where you were supposed to go. It felt forced. The characters had no real depth beyond "hey this pirate actually is a woman, go figure huh?"

It felt like someone who never played a FF game was given a summary of rules (make sure thee's something about crystals, throw in chocobos somewhere, and have a guy named Cid somewhere) - and that someone threw it together last minute, like a kid who ignored his science project deadline for two months.

Considering it followed up 4, which (for the time) had a great story, if a bit hackneyed, was really disappointing.

Still - if they want to remaster, sequel or otherwise pump up any game, it should be 6. Because Kefka.

They have remastered 6 at least three times that I know of. The version on Steam is the latest remaster.
