EDIT: *GETS DRESSED*

Hey FaWtL!

I got a really gross TMI for you: you know your sinus issues are bad...

It's pretty terrible:
... when you begin blowing snot the color of your various beverages.

I mean, literally, I can tell exactly what I was drinking, in what order, by the color.

It's kind of cool to realize why that's happening, even when you're feeling slightly nauseated sinus-ache-y~!

EDIT: I mean, I knew I had difficulty with swallowing... well... anything... but to see proof of why... it's pretty funny. Probably where my appetite has gone, too. Not from being grossed out; from all the backdrain oh, right I should put that behind spoilers for minimal grossness! Oh, well!

That's neither gross nor tmi.

Then again I was raised by nurses.

Have you guys ever walked by a scene playing out at a house, that left you wondering if your watching a burglary or a gosh darn weird late night moving?

Because seriously, either I just walk past the most complete burglary ever (like the dinner table + chair and bed being lifted out through a balcony window, and lowered to the ground by rope), or these guys are going to have a s!&+load of broken stuff, for moving their things in almost pitch black darkness...

Back.

The Mystery is maybe solved. Talked to a neighbor, who had misgiving too. She had already called the cops, but the "characters" had buggered off really quick after I went past the first time.
She seem to believe they were bad renters bailing on a lease in the middle night, but had called the cops just to be sure.
They are checking things over now.

Yeah, speaking as a landlord who's heard stories, that's not all THAT unusual. In certain situations, if your tenants refuse to move out for long enough, you can bring the cops, throw out the tenants, and sell all their stuff to make up your losses. (It's really far more complicated than that, because seizing someone else's property is (and should be) a non-trivial matter, but the gist of it is that there are situations where the landlord can seize the tenants' property for failure to pay rent.) (Or, more commonly, lock up the place with all the tenants' stuff in it so the only way they can get their stuff back is to contact the landlord and get escorted in and out.)

So the tenants were really bad and knew they were rapidly approaching the date at which the landlord would be allowed to take their stuff and they buggered off.

Makes perfect sense.

I agree with Freehold, Tac. Once, I had enough drainage to fill a Petri dish. It was a disgusting color, too.

Did you... call someone?

I'm going back for a second look.

If I get a sucking feeling in my gut again, I'll call the cops.

Do... be cautious. Please.

EDIT: Cautious with yourself. Please. We like you and want you around.

I vaguely recall hearing/reading about something similar (someone moving in out in a hurry the night), except it was a spouse running out from a toxic relationship... Or something like that. It could have been a piece of fiction, though.

So, it's time for "NobodysHome raises Freehold's Blood Pressure Again"...

We were looking into possibly going out and seeing Justice League on Friday. I went to Rotten Tomatoes to see what critics are saying about it. (Unlike Freehold, while I disagree with most critics, I still find their statements useful in figuring out whether or not I'll like the movie.)

And... Justice League is one of those "no pre-screening for critics" movies.

Seriously, DC? Another piece of trash you don't even dare show to critics before its release? Could you possibly not do this to us?

Whether or not I end up agreeing with Tomatometer consensii, I have yet to even hear of a movie that was blocked for pre-screening that even garnered Shiro's approval.

And that man will watch anything.

I guess we're off to see Thor on Friday...

EDIT: Interesting... it turns out that there are some corporate politics coming into play in the missing scores. But after Googling around and seeing that the studio is only showing pre-screenings to hand-picked audiences almost guaranteed to love the movie, I'm not hopeful...

Yea, my bets on a bad renter.
However, I have seen people run off with a lot of strange things over the years.
I mean, stealing my phone, computer or heck even my comfy chair, I can kind of see that..
But thieves stealing the content of my freezer didn't really strike me as very likely. Yet it happened 3 times in the span of a couple of years.

It happens, Yes.

It a little close to home for me as, well, my parents relationship had some really really rough patches. Packing up the car in the middle of the night with a few of her things, and some of mine and my brothers, and going to live with my grandmother and father because my father had beaten her, isn't really that pleasant a memory.
No worries though, it was what it was, and I'm not in anyway angry or offended by your comments. Its just not a time, that I look back on with anykind of relish.

I know Cap. I know..

When people gets the nerve to ask what I think about that part of my past, and my fathers part, well, its hard.
but I've found that this sums it up pretty well:
"My father? Well he's a better man now, and if it continues I sure that I can come to respect him again. However even if things got that far there one thing that I sure of. After what he put my mother through, what he put me and my brother through, I can never love him as a father again."

I should probably clarify that when I say my dad I technically mean step dad, but he was more of a dad then the piece of s*&# that contributed to my birth (who I haven't seen in 36 years).

Supposedly he's reached out to some of my siblings on Facebook, which only reiterates my anti Facebook stance.

They don't actually do anything except every time he turns around they're there enthusiastically yell "Alright! Mr Krabs!!" and give each other high fives.

Eye twitches, ever so slightly.

I have to admit. I would definitely pay a grand total of 45 cents to go see that concert.

(But I mean, really: what would a 50 Cent/Nickelback concert even look and sound like? Like, how would they structure their songs? Fan interactions? Stylistic, design, and stage-appearance choices and order? Would Nickelback "score" 50 Cent songs, or... what? This is a mind-bending question that leads to amazing concepts that I will likely forget soon.)

At work they're feverishly trying to get all the new people caught up before thanksgiving.

Fools! There is no preparing for thanksgiving, you either hide behind a tree (or parking lot, if you prefer) or let it sweep you along and hope you get a chance to elbow someone.

Hopefully I get to hide behind the tree this year.

Spoiler:
Gotta admit: I didn't see that end coming for Dreyfus. I should have, because this is anime. But still.

Super upset about Jericho and Hawk

Holy crap the pig was a true hero after all.

And Jericho! She was supposed to live in an eternity of hate-fueled combat-until-rage-intercourse. I mean come on. She was clearly the better person, when compared to Guila - Guila was understandbile but more corrupt until suddenly NOPE.

>:I

Also, theory: Elizabeth is also Elizabeth - some sort of goddess.

Zelda Theory (actually related to that): at long last, I think I might know why Hylia became Zelda; that "super-burst of anti-evil/life/fertility-or-whatever" ability (or whatever it is in Hylia's case) can only happen (X/<arbitrary period of time>) {exception: new incarnation causes uses to reset}; hence, in order to "outsmart"/outpace Demise's reincarnation, she had to create what is, ultimately, an extremely elaborate series of sealing spells while her physical bodies die over and over again (measured in mortal lifetimes) so that her "true essence" can keep sealing away the demon king. By establishing a cycle of reincarnation, she can always keep a step ahead of the evil power - even if she has to relearn everything every time, she has rigged the system so that she can do so "fast enough" for it to work.

Also she cheated and used time travel. Because she's a good guy! (She super is.)

Also amusing to realize that Ganon basically is, though cunning and intelligent in many ways, also a dumb brute. S'why all the puzzles. Link's not typically so much for the intelligence (though sometimes he's a craftsman), but he's insightful enough to get why kids love whatever cereal commercial I'm referencing and how to handle the puzzles Zelda places before him through the link she established with his spirit (hence, "Chosen Hero") as she sets up what is probably a kind of "baffling field" that directly feeds on the true power over the person looking into them.

And now I'm just rambling and NOT WATCHING THE LAST EPISODE WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME I'M HITTING PLAY RIGHT N-

Spoiler:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

LIMIT BREAKS FTW

So if any of you like Final Fantasy (Tactics, or otherwise), and can get past some lechery, the last Seven Deadly Sins is pretty great!

...

...

...

So.

This has left me with a number of questions.

1) The pigs. What.
2) The goddess "race"
3) The giants
4) the demons
5) the humans
6) the fairies
7) those shrink-y mushroom things

... how do they all work, exactly? Where did they come from?

EDIT: and the follow-up, "Why is it all Merlin's fault?"

Now I'm insanely curious.

Anyone around here know enough to be aware:

Anyone who doesn't care about spoilers for Seven Dead Sins or Zelda:

... is there any consistent set of legends/tropes/etc. all about goddesses and reincarnation that anime tap from in which demons are opposed by cyclic reincarnation? I know there are various goddesses and types of reincarnation from both Shinto and Buddhist traditions, but something about both Zelda and Seven Deadly Sins have shockingly similar story arcs in terms of this particular concept. Seems like a pretty consistent well they're drawing from, and I'm wondering if anyone knows what that is.

EDIT Also, NH:

Spoiler:
Totally guessing Merlin is a kind of demon-goddess-thing. She seems to be the kind of person who has her hands in all the pies. So either a hybrid demon-and-goddess or demon-and-fairy or goddess-and-fairy who took demon infusions or some-such.

At least that's my guess!
