Okay, bought my PDF copy of Starfinder, but I can't read it tonight. I bought a bottle of French wine to celebrate my aquisition of $560 airfare to Paris, and opened it to air it out (I open reds at least one hour prior to pouring), then prepped bratwurst and soft pretzels for dinner. Having such fare, I naturally poured myself a 1 pint bottle of hefeweissen, forgetting I had the wine open. So I must drink a pint, and drink a whole bottle of wine, and I suspect little reading shall be done this night.

I'm glad things are going so well for you.

Fun fact: Green tomatoes and leaves have trace amounts of the poison which causes the nightshade family to be deadly. It shouldn't hurt you as long as you eat within reason, but to many green tomatoes can cause stomach aches. Also, the tomato leaf is traditionally used as a flavor agent in tomato sauce despite the higher amounts of said poison, but 1 or 2 leaves a pan is all it takes.

Someone just tried to hit me with a phone scam from area code 254. So tell me, please, just when does PA's Department of Health and Human services make phone calls from Texas? Naturally, I became suspicious and began questioning the caller, who hung up. I'm glad I know hackers' tricks when I see them.

But enough about me. How's everyone, today?

Quite a bit calmer today. Though that distinction may be infinitesimal in the grander scheme. lol

Good. Glad to hear it. Thwarting a hacker gave me a feeling of accomplishment. Especially after I reported it. :)

Be careful. Once they get a piece of information from you - no matter how small - they tend to pass it around and/or keep onto it for a very, very long time in ever-more-elaborate attempts to scam you with nonsense.

I reported the phone number to a scam-watch website. Other than that, I'll be careful.

So.

I kind of really super want to play an illithid.

That's a lich (a "real" one, not their weird special template; I'd be hyped for the PF psychic variant, though).

With a mostly humanoid form; so shape-changing, or possibly a vetala vampire instead (to take the corpses of my evil foes as mine own new (albeit temporary) body; loooots of mending and unguent of timelessness will be used).

And a shade-like template.

With the thrallherd class.
Also acceptable: illithid savant, with factotum and/or chameleon, semi-preferably updated to PF.

In a drow/underdark-themed game.

That's mythic.

And non-evil.

Dang it.

:/

For the record, this particular concept was generated after looking at both the cover image for pool of darkness, Ebron, and having been oddly thinking about the Neverwinter nights one expansion pack board of the under dark. This post was made using the talk-text system. Which should explain everything.

EDIT: Hrm. I can't find the GoG pic- Here it is!

Uh... that... that outfit looks way more solid in the GOG background screen... and, like, every other version... >.>

Have at thee!

The ranger's eyes, they do not like the sun;
Orc blood is far more red than his lips red;
If elves be pale, why then his skin is dun;
If drow be evil, he is good instead.

He wields two scimitars in every fight
And helps, not poisons nor stabbeth he the weak,
And he hang with dwarves--wait, that can't be right?
He's a good guy drow? What a silly freak!

He rights wrongs and is the perfect hero?
And he wanders around above the ground?
Surely it's an evil trick, time will show...
No? His cloying virtues upright still abound?

Feh. This may read all fine and well to you,
To me, he is a total Mary Sue.
