And so, the last pre-convention general staff meeting for Tekko is finished. Unless they come through on the promises of Wifi, I will not be posting April 6, 7, 8, and 9. I'll likely be dead tired when I get home those days, so I won't be posting those evenings, either.
Going to sleep for a couple of hours. The bus I took home was full of loud teenagers.

You know what is horrible?
When you see a big stray crumb of chocolate cake on the countertop and you pick it up and pop it into your mouth only to discover that it is, in fact, a big chunk of mushroom dirt from the mushrooms you're chopping for the pasta sauce.
Do you see pink bunnies dancing?

There's always next time. Have a drunken bar patron dare him to drink the water.

You know what's great about Caltrain? You can drink on Caltrain (well, unless it's after a major sports event or after 9PM). It's nice to be able to drink beer when headed back to San Francisco on a warm Sunday afternoon after visiting family. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand why alcohol is usually banned from public transportation, but it's nice when it is allowed. Ferry allows it, too.

I'll see if I can find it. A major grocery chain here in Pittsburgh can now sell alcohol. Not just beer. A small selection of wine is also available.
I have heard the worst things about Pennsylvania liquor laws. Here in California, we're super permissive. Want to buy whiskey at Target or Walmart or the grocery store? A lot of them are licensed for that. Want to buy beer or wine at the grocery store? It'd be an ordeal to find the store that isn't carrying both. Liquor licenses that cover spirits may be scarce some places (San Francisco has a hard cap on how many exist at a given time, so you have to buy the license from somebody who already has one), but there are very few rules about what kind of establishment can have them. Beer and wine licenses? They damn near grow on trees here. Also, you can sell alcohol over the internet as long as there's someone of age to sign for it upon delivery (think the seller needs a license, of course).

You can drink on the Long Island Railroad, too. Which is unfortunate. The only thing more annoying than a train full of Long Islanders is a train full of Long Islanders who are drunk.

indeed. I have heard tales of people trying to repeal that law and it being shot down every single time.

Ah, Global Megacorporation, will your antics never cease?
Why will NobodysHome be pretty much silent this week?
Because the team that was supposed to provide us with a test image was 2 weeks late coming in, yet told us, "We're still holding you to all of your deadlines!"
And the executives mysteriously OK'ed this behavior, so we're supposed to finish 3 weeks of testing in a single week.
And this is after our team insisted we wouldn't need more than a week, so why were they dragging their feet so much?
Turns out it's to cover their own rear ends.
So no serious problem for me; just a heads-down week testing application functionality, as I was expecting to do in the first place.
Other teams that insisted they absolutely needed all 3 weeks and lobbied hard to get those 3 weeks are... less-than-happy.
Whee?
See you all Saturday!

Force them to drink iced tea. I hear Long Island makes excellent iced teas. And where can the harm be in that? ;-)

Perhaps this will explain. :)
But... that doesn't have "orison" anywhere in it...

Any train with Cheeseheads that AREN'T allowed to drink.
They will complain, lash out, be incredibly rude, and just generally disruptive without booze.
Once you give them booze you have a half hour to an hour of jollyness before things get ugly.

You know, I hadn't scrolled all the way down to see that. Sigh. >.<
So... cross-post!
... with really carpy internet.
... because, like the fish, it flops uselessly back and forth gasping for breath.
So, question of the day: if you, personally, could be any:
- Pathfinder PC race
- Pathfinder base class
- Pathfinder mythic path
- Pathfinder prestige class
- Pathfinder bestiary creature
- Pathfinder mythic simple template
... what would you be, and why?
Sample answers (using only 'a' things):
- race: aasimar
- class: alchemsit
- path: archmage
- prestige: assassin
- bestiary: angel
- template: agile
This could be as simple as that, or as complex as (with non-a words, 'cause I'm distracted and in a hurry):
- race: aasimar alchemsist assassin
- class: dwarf arcanist archmage
- path: guardian elf wizard arcane archer
<snip>
- bestiary: mythic agile angel deva champion
- template: arcane archon hound oracle
... or whatever!
Fun question while you're doing stuff! Enjoy!

Yeah, it took me a bit of scrolling to understand just how deeply the "NSFW" tag really applied. Don't get me wrong; I greatly appreciated the link! :-P
But until this point in my life, I had no idea that "cosplay strippers" was a thing.
What have I done wrong?

Mmmm double Long Island iced tea. So good, it's illegal to serve in several states (but not California).
