Time to start Christmas shopping.

Makes sure shin kicking action leg! is well oiled, uploads George Carlin mix to the voice module, grabs baseball bat.

That's the way to go. Headfirst into the feeding frenzy. "Damn the shopping carts! Full speed ahead!"

I hate shopping carts (except grocery shopping, obviously) they only inhibit mobility and slow you down.

OH! I know what to do. Mount a snow mover on the front of a Golf Cart and install red and blue lights and a siren. I can see it now. "Mad Max invades Walmart!" :) :O :)

Well, I'm off again. Everyone have a great day. :)

Hey Freehold, my offer still stands if you would like something. I figured since we have the drawing going on I'd be happy to gift you a 3PP thing. Got something in mind?

Coincidentally enough Tacticslion won the drawing for today.

"I can't wear my fancy boots, thems for church, you know that"

As a fellow cheesehead and someone who grew up in a small town surrounded by dairy farms I have seen (and smelt) more than my fair share of this.

In Swedish, the word for "fancy going-out" shoes, and female Finns is spelled the exact same way: "finskor."

Freehold's birthday is December 21st...
The start of winter is December 21st...
Hmmm...
Freehold's father is Snow Miser.

Smack bang on the Winter Solstice, too.

Does this mean Freehold is Mithras?

Or Mothra?

That certainly does open up a wealth of questions then, considering my fifteen years of marriage.

Is it all a dream? Do we need more milk in case of hurricane? Is Adam Sandler still trying to "act"? When did Brad Pitt become such an a%&@*@*?

Ha! I won my game of chicken with consumerism.

Two weeks ago I noticed a Dale's RV The Walking Dead building set my brother (whose name the General drew) would love on clearance, but to get it then, even on sale would've been a struggle. So wait I did as all the other Walking Dead sets sold out, but there it was, still waiting as payday rolled around.

Score one for me!

Also found a super comfy pair of Vans on sale. Now my Shin Kicking Action Kick is twice as devastating.

I think it is what lies beyond reason or something like that.

Hunh... a few different searches using "what lies beyond reason", "beyond reason" and that sort of stuff doesn't get me anything.

*scratches head* Company that made it perhaps?

oh wait - you mean ANY third party thingie? If so then I still really want Taig's drake compendium. Let me see if it is 3rd party or not.

Midgard book of drakes IS 3ed party, but I am unsure as to whether or not it is at drivethrurpg.com.

New Vans are awesome! I'm twice as evasive now, and so comfy! Good luck catching me later, there like walking on clouds!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

No problem man. A large portion of the 3PP stuff I have I am adopting into my campaign setting. I am actually trying to get it put together enough in a coherent form to get published.

Never thought when I was younger I would do anything like that but I was encouraged to try and do it. Takes a long while though since my day job usually chews up at least 9 hours a day 5 days a week.

People! Amiright!

I don't know what I want. I've 6 different large format bottles of English beer (2 Wychwood Hobgoblins, 4 Samuel Smith [Chocolate Stout, India Ale, Oatmeal Stout, Winter Welcome Ale]). Seeing as I leave for England 31 December, it may well be prudent to consume this supply aforehand. On the other hand, I've four open bottles of whiskey and a bottle of apple old fashioned mix I've yet to try (it's not even artificially flavored, they just use apple juice as the main source of sugar). It should probably be one or the other tonight, but I want both. I have to do my last paper, and I tend to be reasonably productive on whiskey and less so on beer, so that leans things towards the whiskey, but I also really want a beer right now. But I also want a whiskey right now. And it's a short and easy paper...

Whiskey it is. It's do s$#~ time.

One thing we got the kids.

Matching catapults!!

Because nothing is more action packed then catapults! (comes with two extra action packed boulders!)

I don't see any way it could go wrong.

Puts on Action Activated Action Hardhat, and sprays the walls of Action!Town! with Super Shock Absorbent Action Foam (now MSG free).

Of course it was rigged. How can it stay up on the mast without rigging? Wait ... Are we talking about something else? :)

Great poem I came across this morning (by one Wendy Cope, if that means anything to someone):

The Orange
At lunchtime I bought a huge orange -
The size of it made us all laugh.
I peeled it and shared it with Robert and Dave -
They got quarters and I got half.

And that orange, it made me so happy,
As ordinary things often do
Just lately. The shopping, a walk in the park.
This is peace and contentment. It's new.

The rest of the day was quite easy.
I did all the jobs on my list
And enjoyed them and had some time over.
I love you. I'm glad I exist.

In Cartography, is it generally considered acceptable to create a dot density map in which one dot represents that 10% of a given population has X attribute in the census tract the dot is in, as opposed to a map where a dot is Y number of people with X attribute?

I mean, I'm going to do it anyway. I'm just wondering if it's technically supposed to be done.

NOOOOOOO!!! Don't do it! You'll change the hyperchronic equilibrium, resulting in a destabilization of the quantum shift! Who knows what the consequences could be?
