I really like my new boss here. I mentioned last week that I would like to quit smoking. So yesterday he brought me the whole electronic set up. I'm thinking this actually may work. I like smoking.. but I hate the smell, taste, and how I feel. I know I've talked about this before.. but I haven't really hated all that before.
And oh HEY! It only took 2 years, But I QUIT SMOKING!

Don't really care for The Strain, it seems like Fear The Walking Dead does the whole zombie plague shtick better.
Or whatever it is... demons maybe?... I don't get it honestly.
the strain started off well enough. It is a VERY NY heavy series, you need to be familiar with NY to get much of it. But it focused on a part of NY that I really didn't like and the characters were not particularly engaging, although the old man's backstory(and indeed that entire arc) was WONDERFUL. It is a good story, but it is lacking in a lot of crucial areas.

At least it isn't getting cold yet. :-)
Hey there Honeymooner! Congrats! <3

Missing Jess though.. We spent a lot of time together during the holidays.

Please hug her for me, if you can.

Hi, Solnes! Bai Solnes! Sorry I missed you today!
(I was dying horribly at Pools of Radiance, as it's been a lllllooooooooooonnnnng time since I've played AD&D, I never played any of the electronic versions, and I generally suck at it with no sense of the controls or other elements. That said, I've finally got a few levels under me! Woo~!)
Across the river is a large temple of Sune that was desecrated and converted to the worship of Bane. There is a large fight involving about forty Orcs when either you find all four treasure caches, or you try to leave.
Ah! Thanks!
In AD&D, if you abort a spell, you lose it. Combat takes some getting used to. Select Move, then use the arrow keys to move the cursor. When done, hit the Enter key. Until I find the Strategy guide, get some graph paper to do your mapping. Whenever you clear a building, it's safe to rest in once all the random encounters are done. Stay close to the slum entrance and keep pressing the L key.
Thanks! I'm moderately proficient by now - and it shows! I'm only dying ever other battle!
Thanks for all the help, my dude!
Ahh...John Glenn died.
Prayers for all those he left behind. I will mourn him.

NEW PAGE BUMP~! Doooooooooo iiiiiiiiiiiiit~!
(If you want to.)I'm glad to!
(Subtle part four bump!)
Return of the bump part five!
Also, thank you all for your prayers and well-wishes: it means much to her.
EDIT: spelling!
PART SEVEN!
(There is nothing else. I have been shamed by maybe missing a page. I dunno. But it's shameful that it might have happened.)

It's been five months? It feels both much longer, and surprisingly much shorter since you declared not smoking on fb, and the progress of time spend without smoke.

High temperature for Tuesday is 6 degrees.
So yes, I'll take as many cats as you can spare.
Every little bit of body heat helps!
Yeah, considering we've gotten 1" of rain and two days in a row with highs in the 40's, I think you're in for a whopper. Storms typically lose 40-50 degrees before getting your way...

Note that various spells have varied delay between the moment you cast them, and the moment they take effect. The same applies to monsters so if you see an enemy casting and no spell effect yet, and your magic user's turn happens, time for some magic missiles (which have shortest casting delay) against that enemy.

My favorite is when he knows he did something wrong he frames it as it wasn't him, or it was a miscommunication.
"I didn't knock the tree over... no! don't look!" or "Was i not supposed to eat the chocolate chips?" and my personal favorite, their imaginary friend/patsy, Mister Nobody. It was something that Pea Bear came up when she was three, but both kids have adopted blaming him, and it cracks me up every time. :-D
Especially since she uses her Wednesday Addams face when she blames him. :-)
"Why is Kermit the Frog hog-tied to your dresser?"
"It was Mister Nobody. There was a mutiny. It had to be done"

Actually, I think it was Tim Curry's Captain Hook that did it. He's always had an issue with green creatures.

Hey, TL.
I've got some very GOOD news. Someone scanned the strategy guide and placed it in a set of cross-linked pages. They can be found here.
P.S. I've also found my Hint Book for Secret of the Silver Blades. When you're ready for that game, let me know.

TL,
Also found the Strategy guide in pdf form. This website has a large number of manuals and hintbooks for a lot of the old games.
How's that for research? Less than twenty-four hours and I've found two separate resources for you. :)!

Hey, Everyone!
I just found my D6 (West End Games) Star Wars books, from when I moved in June. To be specific, I've got: The Role Playing rulebook, the Star Wars sourcebook, the Imperial Sourcebook the Death Star manual, Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and the Last Command sourcebooks.
Huzzah!! Thrawn Trilogy Titles!!!
switching to a Nathan Explosion lyrical progression
Go forth / Play Star Wars / Play it tonight! // Preach it / Thrawn's gospel / For Disney has lied!!
proceeds to headbang with lightsaber mohawk and Force lightning pyrotechnics in the foreground

In other news: best we've done here in west TN is *maybe* upper twenties -- I think Memphis caught a 31-degree low, and we're usually 2-3 degrees cooler out here in the boonies.
Half-a$$ed winter 'round here . . . .
But!! People are wearing gloves and hoodies and coats and such at work, and cussing me for still being in my customary jeans/cargos and a t-shirt.
Muuhuuwaahahahahahahhahahaaaaaa. :D

Yeah, that's always annoyed the f%&* out of me.
I can understand being concerned if I'm wearing less than you when it's cold, but to get generally angry? Wtf?
