Here you are.

Note - That list is probably out of date, but it is a good start.

Edit - WHEW!!! Fallout 3 and New Vegas ARE compatible as are XCOM - EU and EW.

From the horse's mouth itself. That is the official list. Check it and see.

~shrugs~ Yes, I have played my X-Box 360 naked! Anyone want to object? ~puts my scales back on~

Ugh... I got stuck in a "random encounter loop" in Zozo.

So, I walked in there, fully expecting it to be a cakewalk. Then I get jumped by some hard rando mobs. I fight my way through it, and resolve to be more careful.

I got another nasty surprise when I discovered that the random encounter rate is through the roof. I even got jumped in shops, which I was really, really not used to. Still, I made it through.

And then a hill giant popped up, killed everybody in the party except Cyan, and I had no Phoenix Down.

So I got stuck in this loop where I fight through a random encounter, get killed by the next one, restart, get killed again, restart, get killed again...

I really don't want to lose 7 hours of progress here, guys :/

Hm. What are you playing FF6 on? What system/by what method? PM me, if you prefer.

*sigh* Just got hit with the trifecta. Best friend's stepfather just passed away. He was not doing well after the stroke and he just succumbed. They are jewish so I went over to their house immediately after work. I just barely made it in time(due to jewish law, only blood relations can stay the first night of mourning). I stayed for a time and expected to leave not long afterwards but the mom and my best friend insisted I say, adopting me quickly into the family. It was a wonderful dinner, but the lack of that big, smiling fellow was certainly felt.

And although it is NOTHING in comparison with the above, the computer saga continues. Worked with the lovely woman who gave me the new PC and got a copy of windows 8 from the wesite, only to discover that it doesn't work with the product key I had. Icalled microsft and they offered me a new product key for the low low cost of 40 bucks. After everything that happened today, I decided to go with it. However, the first product key they gave me didn't work. Nor did the second. Or third. They are flabbergasted that I have windows 8 from their website and not 8.1. They are literally arguing in the background, with one guy thinking me some kind of super hacker spy, and the guy I spoke to on the phone originally thinking I am legit. Jesus Christ, it doesn't rain, but it pours.
Just got off the phone with microsoft. They swear I have downloaded a corrupt version of windows that no longer exists from their site. The product key is mine to use, but I need to use windows 8.1 pro.
Yeesh. What a lemon of a day.

Zozo is brutal. I remember it being the only time I really noticed the difficulty hike. So, yeah.

Wait, I thought you couldn't use any form of Win8 because of the BIOS incompatibility?

I won't accept windows 8 usb installation in the bios. But seems to treat the CD normally.

Well, sh!t. I thought you had to have Win7. I have Windows 8.0 Pro 64-bit on DVD; I know it installs because I used that disc on two notebooks. As long as you have a legit key for Windows 8.0 Pro 64-bit, I can burn you a copy of the install DVD and mail it to you.

After it installs, you'll still have to let it download and install a few 8.0 patches, and then it will download and install the 2GB+ update to Win8.1Pro.

according to the microsoft frick and frack team I spoke to on the phone, microsoft no longer supports windows 8.0. No keys (unless they came with the CD) will work for installing windows 8.0, apparently not even the ones they generated themselves. I'm not up on computer stuff, but I think windows kinda shot themselves in the foot there.

Pea Bear had three alarms set for completely different times this morning, for reasons I'm not sure.

All three have no gone off and Tiny T-Rex is playing games at full volume, Pea Bear still hasn't woken up.

I kind of like win 10... sure I have to constantly train it to play nice with the other programs and it needed a bit of customization, but now I have it purring like a fine tuned Win 7 and I am happy.

But if I had to choose between 7 and 8 I would (and did) choose 7.

Shit, Freehold. Rough week all around for you....

As for the FFVI question, I got the port on Steam. My FFVI veteran friend sounded disgusted that I wasn't playing it on any of the old systems it was on, but sadly, I don't have that option.

Also, I have to reiterate: the writing is absolutely fantastic! I teared up a little at the flashback sequence with Edgar and Sabin at Figaro Castle.

She is living the life of Impus Minor.

He did that ALL the time, until NobodysWife banned him from doing it any more because it woke her up but not him.

Wow! i have 11 Xbox 360 games

Minecraft
Madden 12
Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition
Red Dead Redemption
Lego Indiana Jones*
Kung Fu Panda*
Skyrim
Grand Theft Auto 4
Fallout 3 Game Of The Year Edition
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Halo 3 ODST

*Both came with the system.

I think most of those are backwards compatible...

Oh. No. How. Dare. You. Not. Have. A. Twenty-six. Year. Old. System. That. Many. Collectors. Horde. And. Charge. Obscene. Prices. For. :|

Playing it with controllers does make it feel better, and I do tend to think that the older versions were a little better in some regards... but that's because I'm nostalgic and I liked my glitches and hard-earned experiences and the various tricks and tips I learned along the way. Enjoy this with all you've got and don't worry about what others say. :)

Wow. Well, I already had a NobodysHome's Tirade about it, so I think I can't hit Berkeley jaywalkers again, but in the last week:

  • I pulled over for two emergency vehicles with their lights and sirens blaring (a fire engine followed by an ambulance). A block and a half ahead of me was a light. The light turned red and the U.C. Berkeley students started crossing right in front of the emergency vehicles, forcing them to stop and wait.
I do not believe in karmic vengeance on the innocent, or I would wish them that THEIR loved ones were in danger and THEIR emergency vehicle had to wait for some self-centered college students too important to have to stop for anything.
  • Coming home, there was a family (mom, dad, and son) walking home at night in the middle of the street with their takeout bags. I pulled up behind them. My lights were on. There was no way they could not notice me. They just kept strolling side by side by side down the dead center of the street, preventing me from proceeding. We even turned a corner together before they finally deigned to let me by. Someone asked before, so I'll mention there are sidewalks on both sides of the street. I use them every day. They are fine, and not perilous in the least. It really should be legal to run such families over. The world would be a better place without them.
  • End of Bitter NobodysHome for the day...

I was feeling tired and unmotivated yesterday so I decided to go clothes shopping since that was fun enough to get past the unmotivated part but still getting something accomplished. And apparently the apparel gods smiled upon me because not only did I have no trouble finding things I liked in my size but I found the perfect tank top. High neckline, loose, straps wide enough to actually hide my bra straps. Glorious. I got a whole bunch of them in assorted colors. :)
And today it is raining but not thundering (so perfect weather in my book), we went out for a delicious brunch, and then stopped at my favorite coffee place for a cocoa latte. And I'm going to make some delicious flourless chocolate cake this afternoon. It is a very good day. ^.^

I charge straight at them and blare the horn. Most people have enough self preservation instinct to scurry out of the way. And if they don't then I hope they have to change their underpants when I lock the brakes up and skid to a stop well short of them. Of course this would only work with people like in your second example. The first example I would just yell at the morons as I went past... or fume quietly like you did.

I would have hit them. After all it is 2 points per adult, 3 for the kid, and -2 for a family of idiots! ~looks around~ What? What did I say that was wrong?

It's four points for adults, after all they should know better.

It's two points for college students because binge drinking kind of takes the sport out of it. Except if they're running to class, if course.

Only in stickshifts. In a stickshift you can drop the clutch, floor the accelerator, and do a lurching screech TOWARDS them before hitting the brakes. Gets 'em skittering every time.

In a Prius, you're just not going to menace anyone...

    Microsoft rant:
Also, f!ck you Microsoft for KB3189866 which completely hoses my Comodo Firewall & Anti-Virus and noticeably slows my Internet connection.

Sure, I can roll back to my restore point, but then the f!cking thing installs again, because you Microsoft, forced automatic updates on everyone under Win10.

I can config my wifi connection to being "metered" which stops most updates, but security updates still auto-install... security updates like KB3189866.

So my choices are: 1) let KB3189866 auto-reinstall, and learn to live with slower Internet & no Comodo protection, 2) turn off wifi and never connect to the Internet, or 3) go in to Administrator and manually disable the Windows Update service. You stupid moronic have-it-your-way f!ck-ups.
