Then did the New Starters come before the Supervisor, and they spake with one voice.

"O Captain", quoth they, "What rainment must we wear when we labour in thy service?"

And the Supervisor answered them, saying: "Robes of white mayest thou wear; also robes of scarlet, robes of purple and robes of divers hues. With whatsoever garment thy heart desireth mayest thou clothe thy bodies, e'en as thy voices are sent out to the four corners of the earth via the medium of analogue telephony"

Then up and spake one of the New Starters; quoth she: "Then I shall wear the Pants of Sweat, that do clingeth to me as the vine doth cling to the slopes of Mount Sphandekh, and also the Bra of Sports, that is wrought of the skin of that rare beast named Lycra, or Bouncy Penguin. Thus shall I be inspired to perform Great Feats of Acrobatics, and also display my Enviable Tattoos, e'en as my voice is sent out to the four corners of the earth via the medium of analogue telephony"

And the Supervisor waxed wroth, saying: "I meant not that -"

But the New Starters answered: "With thy lips did thou shape those words; with thy tongue did thou utter them, saying that we might wear whatsoever garments our heart desireth, and thou canst no more take them back than the bird might sport in the depths of the ocean, or the fish make merry amongst the clouds"

And the Supervisor could make no reply to this, merely saying, "So Mote It Be", remarking privily afterwards that she was not running an Academy for those who might dance around a pole, to the Glory of the Author of Lusts.

It was a response to this Doomkitten... I didn't intend for it to get chopped to a separate page.

The Bay Area has a new station, 103.7, that plays all 80's music all the time, even going so far as to have Martha Quinn as their morning DJ. (Total side note: Best punk song title of the age: "Stuffin' Martha's Muffin". Martha Did Not Approve.)

It depresses NobodysWife, because the music she loved as a teen is now "classic" rock.

I LOVE it. For every song that comes on, I can remember the video on MTV, remember lying on my living room floor watching the video, etc.

The late 80's were very very good to me...

I turned 14 in 1990, I moved to a new town where no one knew me, I already was wearing ripped jeans and ragged flannel shirts from being below poverty level poor (we also got our first microwave and color t.v. in 1989 and 1990) and my hair was already long because I was afraid my legally blind mom would cut my ears off giving me a haircut.

So, yes, as soon as grunge hit, I had the time of my f**~ing life!

keeps Mormon pole dancing, which mostly includes gyrating up against the porches of the elderly while you wait for someone, anyone, to open the door.

I don't wear sweat pants and sports bra. Not even while dancing.

Does anyone else really enjoy the YouTube show "Hot Ones" by FirstWeFeast? I'm finding it incredibly entertaining - and it made me grab some Jamaican Hot Pepper sauce to pour in my soup out of jealousy while I was eating as I watched.

I'll look for it tonight. Honestly I just use YouTube for music videos, the kids watch all sorts of weird s%%% though.

It's just people being interviewed while eating progressively hotter chicken wings. It gets great around 7 or 8 as they start to lose their mind from the heat. Key and Peele was very entertaining.

I don't like watching other people play video games, it really underscores how bad at them I really am.

Except for Skyrim puzzles, oh how I hate Skyrim puzzles. It should always be hawk, owl, and then whale, always.

Edit: Not that there's anything wrong with watching other people play video games, I'm cool with it, it certainly helps when I'm stuck in Skyrim. :-)

Happy exceedingly late tacticsday, oh mighty favoriteslion.

Also, the jobhunt is now over after a mere week of applications! Starting this Friday, I will be a non-emergency medical transport driver.

You know what happens when I order the computer parts to build my new PC while drunk? I decide I should totally get a rainbow backlit keyboard, a 2TB SSHD instead of a 1TB HHD, and a 600W power supply instead of the 500W I needed. That's one budget blown.
