I got that game 3 years ago, I don't think I've played it more than 5 minutes total.

Too hooked on New Vegas now tho.

ODST? Heck, I listen to the soundtrack while I work, it's so awesome.

Of course, New Vegas is a blast. I won't set one game against another; I love 'em all too much.

yeah, it was a big sale, got ODST, Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption at the same time for like 25 bucks la total, with only so much time, one had to lose out. :-)

So many games, so little time.

So few clothes (a little-know corollary).

Preach it!

Maybe you just haven't had the right recipe.

Yup, following the KISS principle for now: simple meals with basic components, like salmon, plain rice, plain broccoli. No melanges for now.

sounds delectable.

Chili was on the menu for my anaphylactic reaction, then I tested allergic to the beans.

*sigh*

I love chili.

I also tested allergic to eggs. None of this is supposed to develop at my age. It's not fair!

My sympathies. Allergies that manifest when you're already an adult and have been eating all the things for years suck ass. :(

I'd say it gets better as you get used to it, but honestly I'm just not that good of a liar. :/

I disagree. It's perfectly acceptable if you remove the peas. Delicious.

I use white (great northern) and light kidney, and chop celery, onion, and zucchini into tiny pieces (mincing) to help fill the chili. Pinto beans, green peppers, and corn are abominations! Heretic!
I admit that corn is a weird addition and quite possibly a capital offense in Texas. I find the subtle sweetness brings out the spiciness of everything else.

Isn't everything a capital offense in Texas?

Does the egg allergy mean no eggs in anything? No cake?
It does for the moment. I'm on a 6-week elimination diet and my blood has been sent for IgE testing. They seem to think my immune system was in overdrive and that's why I reacted so strongly and suddenly. We're trying to calm it down and might gradually reintroduce foods. I hope. Because living without dairy, wheat, corn, oats, barley, sugar, beef, beans, nightshades, and eggs is kind of difficult. Though I did lose 12-1/2 pounds the first week.

Have they found the reason for immune system overreaction? Or are they still looking?

No, pretty simple. I see two things wrong with it, 1) peas, 2) Paula Deen.

The boil would be less disgusting.

I love Chili, but man do I hate Kidney Beans.

It's not easy.

I'm with you there. I love chili and hate pretty much all beans that aren't green beans.

And it's so bizarre for me, being from Texas, which seems to be the only place where "chili" by default does not include beans.

In Texas if you want beans in your chili you have to specifically request "chili with beans" or sometimes just "chili beans".

But apparently everywhere else, it's automatically assumed "chili has beans" and to request it without you have to specifically ask for "chili without (or "with no") beans".

I only like okra breaded and fried, or in gumbo.

Liver on the other hand, no in any shape or form.

I can never remember what okra is...

Probably because we don't have it here.

If it isn't an animal, I'll eat it.

Seriously, before I went vegetarian I was like an otyugh. My high school girlfriend's mom called me the human garbage disposal.

Among other things. She didn't like me.

Her daughter being...a rather loud recipient of entertainment...may have had something to do with that.

I'm pretty much the exact opposite of GTG. I'm extremely picky with vegetables and fruits, some I love and most I hate, but I have yet to run into a type of meat I don't like, provided it's properly cooked (read: not rare).

I am American and I love my veggies. Meat is delicious and nutritious, but I need veggies in my diet. I am a sucker for soups and stews.

We called it Ladies' Fingers, for some reason.

Peas are like little green spheres of pure vegetablical ecstasy.

I tried playing a jug once but could never get more than one note out of it. Now it has cider in (which should be ready to drink in about three weeks... Heeey...)

Is that British spelling (there is no "u" in color, damnit!), some form of misspelling, or an entirely new word I've never heard of?
