Weird dream ...
I woke up inside a glass coffin. It wouldn't open but I could see out.
Various figures stood over me (the boys and girls of FaWtL) but they were hooded so I couldn't tell which was which. And they were arguing about me, but I couldn't make out the words. I tried to speak but they couldn't hear me. I then woke up for real waving my arms around like an idiot in an effort to get my meaning across... To dream people.

Oh sure blame the phone.

Typical.

I was the one that looked like Brad Pitt from Legends of the Fall.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

If I hear one more mention of Trump, I will burn that thread to the ground and have choke sex on it's ashes.

Or, you know, huff some glue and start some fires.

Even we can't find any fault with that plan.

~redacted political comment~
That's what I have to say about Trump.

Cap thinks he looks like Brad Pitt. Eddie Vedder I'll give him, but I think you're stretching it just because you share a hairstyle in a movie. I gave myself a buzz cut once, doesn't mean I look like him in Fight Club. :-P

Jesus Christ Superstar it is then.

Cap, I just lightened the T thread mood.

A lot.

With a really bad pun.

If you look closely, you will see a glint of silver coming from under the hood of me. Alas tin foil is not ideal for concealment but it does prevent the government and aliens from reading my thoughts. Also i've been told I look like Balki

That I can hide, people are starting to bring it up elsewhere.

The thing is, my brothers and parents are all heavily involved in politics, so at gatherings its all politics, all the time (when they aren't trying to shame me for not being on Facebook that is).

So you understand why it might be getting to me. :-D

Moved to Doro quite quickly, though.

It's Always nice when you're using the one clock in the house that hasn't been adjusted for day light saving time to tell time all morning, it's like you get a free hour all over again. :-)

I made a big pot of chili yesterday and didn't bring any to work. Oh well - that just means there will be more available when I get home.

Also, I watched Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas yesterday. All is right with the world.

I love Chili, but man do I hate Kidney Beans.

It's not easy.

I make amazing vegetarian chilli. It's even vegan, but I'm not THAT big of a hippie, so I don't share that fact. I've had omnivores devour multiple bowls.

This Friday is a Christmas party at my job, and I'm bringing it, and someone is bringing hot dogs, so you know SOMEINE is gonna make chilli dogs, and then my job will, too, know of my culinary greatness.

And I use a blend of pinto, black, small red, and great northern beans. I find smaller beans have more flavor than big ones like kidney, lima, or navy.

We got Ninjabread cookie cutters at work this year, they've been a big hit.

I can't say why, but unless it's baked beans, or refried beans, I just can't eat beans.

I can eat fresh green beans in butter.

Peas are unacceptable in any circumstance.

Chili was on the menu for my anaphylactic reaction, then I tested allergic to the beans.

*sigh*

I love chili.

I also tested allergic to eggs. None of this is supposed to develop at my age. It's not fair!

So we were discussing Halo: ODST in chat and I mentioned my love for running around deserted city streets in the wee hours of the morning, which is why I enjoy ODST so much. Apparently, other people enjoy this, too. There should be a "-philia" for such activity.

Mine was a chili con carne, and used kidney, pinto, and cannellini beans. It also had green peppers and sweet corn, which is my own addition.

I got that game 3 years ago, I don't think I've played it more than 5 minutes total.

Too hooked on New Vegas now tho.

Make chili without beans. I seem to recall some good beanless chilis.

Does the egg allergy mean no eggs in anything? No cake?

I use white (great northern) and light kidney, and chop celery, onion, and zucchini into tiny pieces (mincing) to help fill the chili. Pinto beans, green peppers, and corn are abominations! Heretic!

I am sorry, treppa.

Someone I love very much is relearning hoe to eat after discovering she is allergic to everything. I believe she is around your age.

You're right. It's not fair.

I admit that corn is a weird addition and quite possibly a capital offense in Texas. I find the subtle sweetness brings out the spiciness of everything else.

I love making my chili without beans.
(I have never been a big fan of beans in anything.)

BUT, I am too poor to afford enough ground meat to make a big enough pot of Chili without some kind of filler. :(

SO, Onions, bell pepper, and kidney beans it is! :)

It does for the moment. I'm on a 6-week elimination diet and my blood has been sent for IgE testing. They seem to think my immune system was in overdrive and that's why I reacted so strongly and suddenly. We're trying to calm it down and might gradually reintroduce foods. I hope. Because living without dairy, wheat, corn, oats, barley, sugar, beef, beans, nightshades, and eggs is kind of difficult. Though I did lose 12-1/2 pounds the first week.

Stuff it full of minced veggies! It will be nutritious, have an interesting bite, and the kids will never know.

ODST? Heck, I listen to the soundtrack while I work, it's so awesome.

Of course, New Vegas is a blast. I won't set one game against another; I love 'em all too much.

So... Chicken. Rice. Broccoli. Olives. Lettuce... I could make a meal out of that! But probably not every night...

Salmon, lots of veggies, quinoa.

In fact, almost everything in sushi is legal, as long as I avoid the 'salad' thingies with dairy. I've had several sushi dinners. I hate sushi.

Looking at your list again, even beanless vegetarian chili is out until they resolve the nightshade thing.

yeah, it was a big sale, got ODST, Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption at the same time for like 25 bucks la total, with only so much time, one had to lose out. :-)

Yup, following the KISS principle for now: simple meals with basic components, like salmon, plain rice, plain broccoli. No melanges for now.

I would, and in fact have, eaten a bowl of what was essentially 98% peas and about 2% mushrooms and sauce.
