What is 'the badger game' ?

The local collegiate football team.

Verily, we laid waste to Rutgers, alas the New York pansies barely put up a fight

In Ye Olden Times, one didn't wear clothing whilst discussing collegiate athletics.

Indeed.

We can dig it.

VERY political rant:

I just received a letter today that Impus Major's high school had failed to meet its "No Child Left Behind" achievement targets for at least two years in a row, and therefore I had the opportunity to transfer him to another school.

Why does this incense me? Why does it make my blood boil?

Because they set the standard as a PERCENTAGE INCREASE. My son's high school has an API score of 860, and has been in the top 10% of all high schools in the state for 30+ years. It's pretty darned hard to improve when you're already one of the best!

So the school is failing, because it's failing to improve enough. Being one of the best isn't good enough. "We have target numbers, you know..."

Politicians should be required to pass a basic math class before being allowed in office. OK. Maybe not "basic". They have to be able to comprehend exponential and asymptotic growth curves. How's that?

[/rant]

I passed a basic math class!

Are you saying I should get into politics?

Very well, I accept.

I skipped two grades in math. Does that mean I get to be president now?

Depends. Will you run with CY as your vice-president?

Anything's possible in today's political landscape, literally anything.

So what you're saying is that everyone could be my vice-president at the same time?

We are all global citizens and vice-presidents of the United States.

Beat that one, Caracalla.

Outrageous! Outrageous, I say!

Hmm, perhaps I should go with a different look...

What's sad is that I should be ashamed of myself for starting this, but instead I'm proud.

Very, very, proud...
...I am indeed an odd duck.

Just remember to vote FaWtL next year, sure we might wear diapers, we won't get s*#& done and our kids will most likely steal your silverware but at least we won't be a~~~*@*s about it.

The older I get, the more I realize that, while it's frustrating to be romantically unsuccessful, I'm also completely ill-prepared and ill-equipped for a real relationship. Guess it's time to start looking for a nice waifu to spend the rest of my life with.

There are always options. Probably NSFW, except for Freehold.

Hehe, shame on me. I've been neglecting drawing practice.

Then again, I haven't been feeling too well, knowing how the end of this month will go.

1d4 ⇒ 3 goblin babies think that car was the distraction you were supposed to see, and not the actual ninja's car.

We live in strange times...

-A large number of people in the local Democratic party are considering voting republican if Hillary wins nomination...

-The republicans are SO disenfranchised with insider politics that Trump (who is the opposite of insider politics) is going forward with a massive majority in spite of anything Trump says that should end his chances...

Told you all I had a chance!!

Freehold is quite serious. This thread has three rules:

  • No sports
  • No religion
  • No politics

And, as a metarule, no trolling other posters in this thread. We have kept this a friendly, chatty community that way for nigh unto... uh... six years now? Maybe more. But mentioning those things is the surest way to get a thread to degenerate into flaming, trolling, spam wars, and general nastiness.

So they are very simple rules. You can start another thread about politics or religion or sports anytime (and watch what happens). But to post here, please abide by our conventions and keep things friendly. Thanks!

We've been a bit lax with the rules as of late as long as people put them in clearly-marked spoilers, like Nobody's been doing occasionally.

And obviously discussion of fantasy/fictional variants of such topics is fine. We don't ban people talking about clerics in their games or anything.

But open real-world political/religious/sports discussion is not welcome in FAWTL.

Well I still think I can win with the No Politics, Religion or Sports ticket.

Guatemala is ready for change damn it!

Dark Archive

I'd vote for him.

Well, if I'm not allowed to screw with Freehold, what rights do I truly have?

What's the FAWTL Party gonna do about all these dang kids on my lawn?

The Whedonverse is the best way to f*$& with Freehold.

That depends on what kind of screwing you had in mind.

I'd say metaphorical, but being deliberately vague is probably funnier.

Edit: I learned it from Nobodyshome, not Paizo, they just enable it.

You can screw with Freehold in any way except those three forbidden topics. You can set a faux webpage notifying about Joss Whedon being nominated for Oscar for example...

Pathfinder Adventure, Rulebook Subscriber

I still think Molthune should just give up Nirmathas. That war has gone on too long.

Man, I get blamed for EVERYTHING around here!

"Who started the political discussions?"
"Nobody!"
"Who made Captain Yesterday a smorf?"
"Nobody!"
"Who ate all the leftover Halloween candy?"
"Nobody!"

Why isn't it ever, "Who should I give this extra $1 million to?"
"Nobody!"

EDIT: Wow! Even "smorf" is forbidden! Curse you, Paizo!
