Job site moment of the week: witnessed GC and foreman getting into a heated argument because foreman & crew followed blueprints instead of the crude instructions GC scrawled on wall studs with a Sharpie. Evidence is mounting that I may live in Bizarro World.

Unfortunately, that is normal world.....

Geez Orthos, way to wave your Wheat where everyone can see.

May I suggest next time shucking it in the privacy of your own home :-)

Quote pyramid was getting too tall to handle. =)

And all I can think is that time on a different forum where a bunch of us decided to endlessly quote until it broke the forum's tables.

It was beautiful.

Went to the local convenience store for my nightly beer run, and was waylaid by the customer in front of me, a young local dust-head, who spent probably about 20 minutes lecturing the clerk (a friend of mine) about numerology, Nephilim infiltrators, Illuminati brainwashing, and government-funded ghost-powered bioweapons. The evidence for my prior theory is mounting, and now my beer is warm.

I would pistol whip you myself, but I already owe you a smack with a morningstar.

Dear Facebook,

You want to know what happens to Luke Skywalker in the new Star Wars? WAIT A COUPLE MONTHS AND WATCH THE F#*@ING MOVIE.

Sincerely,
A Star Wars fan who doesn't give a s!!# about pointless speculation

P.S: Stop trying to drag me into your pointless arguments. It's not going to work, and I don't care.

You know who it wasn't a spoiler for? David Fryer. Don't forget that he was a guest at George Lucas's house and George shared with him detailed plot notes on episodes 7-9, and that was almost a decade ago!

Woooooooow.

Did not know that.

Oh. My. God. Totally forgot about that.

I must have missed that one.

Pea Bear has a great poem she wrote about kids in her class that won't shut up about Star Wars, I'll see if I can post it tomorrow, it's super awesome.

Two more monsters until Halloween...

When I get home, I'm not talking to anyone.

Two back-to-back band practices today. Practice #2 was for Operation Hennessey, and Mark has his s@~& together, so everything went fine.

Practice #1... my solo project has 4 shows in the next 2 months, the bass player hasn't showed up to a single practice, and today the drummer was 20 minutes late to his own house. So that's how that's going.

Ahem. I think it's safe to say that story is rather suspect.

Getting near ME2 end game. The tension is palpable.

  • Will I be able to find enough platinum and E0 to finish my upgrades?
  • And what about iridium? What about iridium?
  • There's no fuel depot in this system. Will I be able to deplete it with only - oh no! - 11 probes left?

Oh, the drama.

I absolutely love that aspect of the game. It's what I would so for a living in the universe.

That and, you know, be a badass like everyone else.

It's gonna make me go from Paragon to Renegade real soon.

I wouldn't mind if it was a fun "win fabulous prizes" game, but it's required for upgrades.

Oh, and EDI, the wonder brain that coordinates millions of actions in combat, apparently can't be bothered to feed my damned fish while I'm off saving the galaxy. They are all dead. Here I thought they were waiting at the top for their food, but no.

The hamster survived, though.

More exciting ME2 news as it breaks...

Surviving and living are two different things.

I want to live!!

You'll stay in that glass tank and like it!

I can space you, you know.

Exciting news: Q and E can be used to order companions to attack, not simply to position them. THIS WORKS! Wish I'd known this about 20 game hours ago.

Undertale was a great game. Next on my games to clear list is Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows.

And Icy still needs to do a Carrion Crown recap.

Poor fish... I use the auto feeder.

3 people marked this as a favorite.

Auto feeder? o_O

Yay, Aranna's back!

I will make a character today if it kills me... Evil fate. Am I mistaken or do they use a TFOS style combat system complete with Bonk instead of HP? And what were they smoking when they made a skill system that requires you to be skilled in basket weaving in order to improve your firearm skill?

Maybe the auto feeder is in 3

Silver Crusade

Auto feeder is ME3. It is expensive though, so I never bothered. (Money in ME3 is finite, as opposed to ME2 where you can become unreasonably wealthy.)

Edit: Gold star to Treppa if you figure out to have a pet space hamster in ME3. I was so proud of myself when I got it :)

I generally don't have fish in 2. I spend all my scratch on upgrades.

Yay, aranna!

Tfos?

Auto feeder is in 3.

Also, thank you fawtl, for brightening my day, as my boss is a f#%+ing idiot that likes to cause trouble where there is none because he is nervous and in a bad mood.

Trying to walk the between not being a perennial victim and not rising to his bait.

I soooo wanted to pimp out the ship in ME2...Money and resources were LIKE WATER in that game.

Still wish Joshuas mission wasn't so badly edited...

TFOS = Teenagers from Outer Space... A high comedy Toon style game.

I also rarely visit my quarters in 2...

Basically, when they put in that fish tank in ME2, some designer was thinking that what an epic SciFi RPG needed was a bit of the mechanics from those old Petz devices from the 1990s. Why blow up collectors when there are fish to feed?

5 people marked this as a favorite.

Petz is EXACTLY what I was thinking of when I bought those dratted fish. Given the state of the galaxy, they are probably better off dead. That hamster will suffer with the rest of us, damn his "knowing smile".

Must... find... way... to... escape...

And keep your knowing smile in your little house when Garrus comes to visit.

Garrus eats mice?!?!

Course he does. He's an alien.

Lizard man.

Also, hamster peeping is creepy.

I'm surprised how many of the side characters in Hunger Games are also side characters in Sons of Anarchy:-D
