Now i have a night of cleaning and cooking ahead if i want to have a nice house and something tasty to eat for my birthday, i'm making Lemon Angel Delight, which is what happens when you leave lemon pudding, angel food cake and two things of Cool Whip together without a chaperone :-D

edit: the recipe if anyone wants it:-)

1 big package (or two little) of Jello Cook and Serve lemon pudding
1 angel food cake (we make ours with a mix because they're cheap, but a pre-made angel food cake works just fine)
2 smaller containers of Cool Whip or 1 large one
A mold pan, or dish or whatever:-)

Make the pudding according to its directions, tear up the angel food cake into a large bowl, add the Cool Whip then the pudding (you want it warm when you pour it in) mix it all up throw it in a mold or big f#$%ing bowl and let it set-up and try not to eat it yourself, seriously its that good:-)

edit 2: added the flavor of pudding, i also have a homemade lemon pudding recipe if you prefer that to store bought:-)

Dear god, is nothing sacred? Now you're turning Angels into cakes?!

Clearly, angel food cake is food for angels.

(I wonder if Aasimar get cravings for angel food cake?)

Order of the Stick just keeps getting better.

I got to page 842 and I actually shouted 'oh no!' out loud

You know, I always thought that the mark on Girard's face looked like a dragon.

As someone who saw the before and after of Katrina, thank you to all the brave men and women of the Coast Guard and all of the other rescue squad for what you have done. Police, fire, medical, guard units, ect. Thanks you! I was luck that the people I loved who were there got out before Katrina hit. But there were many more people who were not so lucky.

PBS is airing the show right now, but it will be on their web site or YouTube soon. So far I am very glad to be watching this show.

Yeah, it's usually facepalms and guffaws, but sometimes OOTS straight up hits you in the feels.

Because actions have repercussions, and V needed to learn that.

That was also upsetting (and very much understandable and an excellent subplot), but this particular reaction was actually about Durkon.

I've seen better days. Writing is more or less stuck, I am still down with a flu (worried my boss will make mention of my week-long sick leave), family situation is still basically one step away from open war (and I suspect I will be dragged into it), and I managed to make a fool of myself to a friend, who doesn't trust me anymore. I might be able to make amends with my friend (he hasn't cut me off yet), the flu will pass eventually, but I don't know how the war between my dad and the rest of my family will turn out. And I need to get to writing now that I have the time and energy for it.

OOTS is one of the best examples of quality of story over quality of art that I've ever seen. And for cartoony stick figures the art is very much not bad at all, and constantly improving.

Schlock Mercenary... The early art made you wish for one of those SuperStar items that need you to gouge your eye to function, but after the early run of gag-a-strip and development of the plot (and also slow improvement of drawings - so slow that I noticed the change of style only while reaching the end of archive binge) it becomes a great grand story.

Thanks for the heads up Sharoth.

As one whose family was living BETWEEN the two levy breaks, this is very interesting to me personally.

The art of Order of the Stick is absolutely amazing. Early strips were rather crude, but that's then and this is now.

I still have a bet with myself that I will catch up on Order of the Stick before #1000 publishes.

I currently have #920 open in my browser, so I might actually make it.

So, a big belated "congratulations" to all FaWtLer's, past and present.

Last night was really HARD: A series of hot days, alone with the kids for the evening, and nothing much to do but sit back and relax. What's the harm in a simple gin & tonic to beat the heat?

...and then I thought about how disappointed the FaWtL crowd would be in me if I failed after only 80 days, so I refrained.

Alcoholism, even the relatively minor type like I had, is a beast. Don't try it at home, kids!

EDIT: I don't kid myself that 4-5 drinks a day ranks very low on the scale of hardcore alcoholism, but even that was enough to have me addicted for years. This journey is frequently easy, frequently rocky, and sometimes, like last night, just downright hard and unpleasant...

Since I was asked to give the recaps for other campaigns I've had, I took the time to gather up a list of them.

- First Generation Cyber GURPS

- Cyberbikers (Sequel to First Generation)

- Space GURPS Saga*

- The Wuxia GURPS

- World of Mustard (Classic Dark Fantasy)

- World of Mawiois (Post-Apocalyptic Dark Fantasy)

* = Spans Multiple Campaigns

They're all GURPS campaigns, and quite fun indeed. Let me know which one you guys want me to recap first, so I can get some kind of order to these.

Grr! all i want to do for my birthday is subscribe for APs and it won't let me!!

Do they not want my money!

Currently dancing with death risk of developing serotonin syndrome so that my simultaneously anxiety- and adhd- riddled arse can get college stuff taken care of.

My concern for my physical health amounts to the following:

"I suspect that my blood-thinning SSRI is responsible for my iron levels dropping below the requirement for making a blood donation, thus I will begin taking iron supplements just so I can make blood donations again." (Hint: I have never been self-motivated to take dietary supplements anymore and this is the one exception)

"Is serotonin syndrome symptoms temporary, and how nasty are the symptoms? I will look it up so I can see if I can get away with taking my SSRI and CNS stimulant at the same time just enough to kick my normally defunct executive function into gear to get this Important Stuff done in the nick of time. Ah, I see that it has a history of being fatal--is that fatal fatal or just 'hazardous to children and elderly' fatal?"

"How many hours of sleep can I forego to get stuff done without developing hallucinations? Let's find out."

EDIT: Death is a very good dancer by the way. I on the other hand am a clumsy dancer and keep accidentally stepping on his foot. Sorry, death.

So apparently at Pea Bear's new school it costs them $300 for each kid to ride the bus, at least that's what they tried charging me.

Yeeaahh!! No thank you! even if we didn't live 3 blocks max from the school there's no way i'm giving em that much to bus, i'd drive her myself, also Saddle Club (*sigh* yes it's one of those schools) was 88 bucks, luckily Pea Bear wasn't biting, despite her deep and passionate love of horses:-)

Pardon someone from foreign parts, but shouldn't three blocks be short enough to trust Pea Bear to walk on her own, or is the traffic that bad?

Yes she'll walk, she's always walked, not alone mind you, only time she takes a bus is for field trips, they still tried charging us for it tho :-)

This year is awesome because the school is on mom's walk to work so they'll walk together :-)

And it's not traffic we have to worry about, what with at least 10 people within half a mile on the sex offender registry 2 guys on our cul-de-sac even >:(
