So I will need that much, thanks.
Control was the only moral choice... But this time through I will save before the end and try all four endings.Yes the irony didn't escape me that the least moral man was seeking the most moral solution.
But the four solutions (as I understand them):
-Synthesis: requires you to forcibly mutate every being in the galaxy against it's will. That's evil.-Destroy: Safely eliminates the threat... but genocides the entire Geth race and Edi, as well as any other machine beings. Evil if you consider AI's to be people too. And after fighting SO hard for the Geth / Quarian peace I wasn't going to do THAT.
-Control: You sacrifice yourself to save everyone else... and gain an AI with your personality that controls the greatest force in history. Not good for you but it harms no one else.
-Refuse: Seriously who would let the reaping continue after ALL that struggle? Oh and obviously evil.

After that they all kind of meld together, the last couple have really sucked with a flea infestation and abject poverty being the common theme.
This year tho my wife's raise just kicked in so we have a little extra, and Tiny T-Rex is potty trained and capable of overnights with the grandparents, so this weekend I'm secretly packing the kids off and the wife and I will go see a movie, by ourselves, with no kids, at a movie theater with a bar within walking distance :-)

Did you play arrival DLC for 2? If so, what are your thoughts?
Are you comparing me to Liara?
I did play Arrival... I was sad that they turned it into a railroad. I would have liked to find a way to fix the problem without ** spoiler omitted **
of course not! I said annoyingly moral science officer and girlfriend, not inescapable relationship of inescapableness. Besides, you with biotics is a terrifying thought.

I had spent too much of the trilogy being a "synthetics are people too" paragon for the destroy option to feel right.

Why would you be afraid of me with biotics it's not like I would do any harm with them? And I am totally lost on who you are comparing me to?

Just beat mass effect 2!
Holy s+$#,
Downloading new weapons packs for a grand total of 4 bucks now. Do not have the cash or space on hard drive for omega and/or citadel....also it seems I DID NOT get the improved ending last time I played, probably because I was packing space on hard drive...will work hard to get rid of some stuff.
I'm not really comparing you to anyone per se- I think you would be an awesome science officer, but you would remind me of regulations regularly as you seem to be of a good and Lawful bend. The girlfriend thing is part of a running gag from a long lost whedon-loving thread. And the only reason I would fear your biotics is because you would probably throw things at me - or me at things- if I was being more lecherous than usual.

Right now we're really enjoying "Dark Matter" as our 'post-gaming' show.
We went through all of Deadwood (incredibly awesome 'til Hearst showed up, then a solid "good" the rest of the way), couldn't stomach "Rome" because it paled so much in comparison to Deadwood, and have been trying various other quirky shows as time permits: "Better off Ted" was delightful for the first season, but went downhill fast. "Bojack Horseman" is just twisted enough to keep us entertained. But Deadwood. Ah, Deadwood! If you haven't seen it, and you can stand the swearing, the profanity, the uncomfortable gore, and the authentic look, feel, misogyny, and overt racism of a lawless western town in 1876, it's a show worth watching. And yes. Swearing really NEEDS to be mentioned twice for that show...
(I felt like I needed a shower after every episode just to get the "smell" of the town off of me. The show really makes you appreciate a modern society where most people bathe at least several times a week...)

And FINALLY, why hasn't Captain Yesterday favorited my latest Serpent's Skull post yet? Usually he's as reliable as Tacticslion with that "favorite" button.
Was it just the creep factor of a decapus and a grippli coiled together in a twisted Giger-esque embrace plummeting into the darkness?
I kind of liked it...

Every time I remember you're in the South Bay, I wince for you.
On Sunday it was 102 at the Fremont game, and 35 miles north is was 81 here in Albany.
Ah, you great, Golden Gate! Keeping trolls safe since... er... trolls moved here!
(Or if memory serves you're all the way down towards Los Gatos or even Santa Cruz. Was it any better down there?)

Kinda tough to get into another show. I fell in love with Almost Human, and it's gone now. What's to stop Mr. Robot from the same fate?

1) It's not on Fox, and b) they renewed the second season before the first episode even aired.
(I also loved Almost Human.)

When I was 22 I had a bag of mushrooms I'd been saving and times it so it would hit me when I got up to State Street. Big mistake! First I see a grinning elf on a bike, which totally f$%@ed with me, then I look up and right in front of me there's a fight and this dude gets stabbed in the stomach and there's cops EVERYWHERE!
Totally ruined my trip, and my birthday, which was my worst birthday.
Thanks for the flashback guys :-)

dont do shrooms, kids.

Saw the elf dude last summer (not on shrooms) still riding his bike to and from downtown, still grinning and still looks like an elf, of course then I had to explain to Pea Bear why I excitedly started saying "that was the elf dude! That was the elf dude! I knew he was real, I knew it!"
takes shrooms away from CY
Bad.

Isn't there a rule that you have to be at least 5'0", or weigh at least 100 pounds, before starting high school?
It would absolutely, positively HAVE to be a musical...

So apparently at Pea Bear's new school it costs them $300 for each kid to ride the bus, at least that's what they tried charging me.
Yeeaahh!! No thank you! even if we didn't live 3 blocks max from the school there's no way i'm giving em that much to bus, i'd drive her myself, also Saddle Club (*sigh* yes it's one of those schools) was 88 bucks, luckily Pea Bear wasn't biting, despite her deep and passionate love of horses:-)

Now i have a night of cleaning and cooking ahead if i want to have a nice house and something tasty to eat for my birthday, i'm making Lemon Angel Delight, which is what happens when you leave lemon pudding, angel food cake and two things of Cool Whip together without a chaperone :-D
edit: the recipe if anyone wants it:-)
1 big package (or two little) of Jello Cook and Serve lemon pudding
1 angel food cake (we make ours with a mix because they're cheap, but a pre-made angel food cake works just fine)
2 smaller containers of Cool Whip or 1 large one
A mold pan, or dish or whatever:-)
Make the pudding according to its directions, tear up the angel food cake into a large bowl, add the Cool Whip then the pudding (you want it warm when you pour it in) mix it all up throw it in a mold or big f&*~ing bowl and let it set-up and try not to eat it yourself, seriously its that good:-)
edit 2: added the flavor of pudding, i also have a homemade lemon pudding recipe if you prefer that to store bought:-)
edit 3: for smurfiness:-)

Saddle club?
What kind of weird school are you sending her to?!
This is Madison, all schools are weird:-D
but yes this one is the weirdest of the bunch, they also have the kids building a green house (like an actual building, with adults and high schoolers supervising) Pea Bear is actually super jazzed about that:-)

$300? Hmmm, with the current exchange rate... 3 times 3. Move the fraction... Add...
For that money I could have a city transportation ticket for all public buses and trams for about a year. And student ticket would cost half of that.

So getting to school on horse would be cheaper than in bus?
