Hmmm, that'd make a pretty snazzy goblin war helmet. I gotta stick my noggin in a water barrel though to double-check if displaces more or less than 8 cups of water. I wonder if I use enough hair product, will it shape my hair into a dragon-shaped hairdo-sculpture?

Edit: Nekkid again? {shrugs, moons everyone in thread}

Everyone was holding off on posting because we were all far too embarrassed (or terrified of the summer sun) to bare all.

Wait 'til winter when the weather is reasonable and the clouds come (hopefully).

Then there will be nekkid Nobodies roaming the hills...

I found one guys! Over here! Quick! Fire afore he gets over the hill and blends in with the local liberal fauna!

Don't have hair. Use cake instead.

I got my bogus seatbelt violation reduced. Paid a much smaller fine, but it was worth it to avoid the risk a judge would take the trooper's word over mine.

My physical therapy story was as depressing as it was hilarious: I broke my wrist, and once the cast came off I started physical therapy. After just a few weeks, my therapist said, "I can't believe how fast you're recovering! It's the fastest I've ever seen anyone heal! What are you doing?"
"Nothing, really. I'm just doing all those exercises you told me to..."
"You're actually DOING them?!?!?"
"Well, yeah, doesn't everyone?"
"That explains EVERYTHING. You're the first patient I've ever had who actually did what I told them to..."

I interviewed for an on campus job at SFSU today. Looking pretty good. Thanks to Job Corps and two years of working while in community college, I have a lot more skills and experience than most applicants.

Playing Watch_Dogs. Got it for free last year as compensation from Origin for screwing up my Tomb Raider order, and ignored it until now. I've decided to play the main character as a massively hypocritical, self centered villain who's putting his family in serious danger, murdering whoever gets in his way, even law enforcement, stealing innocent people's hard earned money, and putting civilians in danger (I killed an innocent bystander by opening fire on a fleeing domestic assault perpetrator on a crowded sidewalk, and I've hit four people with my car). When looking at the game through the lens that the protagonist is a very dangerous person who needs to spend the rest of his days in prison, the story totally works.

Well, I was going to wait until Day 100 to report, but it's rather amazing: Today is Day 72 and it's downright scary how powerful the urge to drink still runs. Bad day at work? Have a drink! Bad news on the home front? Have a drink! Long weekend of physical labor? Have a drink!

I look back at my last attempt of 42 days and think, "Wow. No wonder I blew it!"

Should be interesting to see how long I have to go before the cravings cease. All I can say so far is that 72 days ain't enough...

And my "final" post of the day:

  • My monitor is a 24" Samsung I bought for work, just so I'd be able to see and read two side-by-side pages. Trouble is, the front window is behind me and the glare from the afternoon sun makes playing games that are set at nighttime... ghastly. So I play Rift, but it's on low graphics and occasionally I can't see a darned thing.
  • When our 12-year-old 42" Sharp finally died, we decided to bite the bullet, pull everything together, and get something truly stupid. Yes. We have a 75" Samsung. Yes, it takes up most of our living room wall. But... oooooooh!

It's night in Skyrim, dark snowy and cold. currently hunkered down hiding, waiting for daylight so i can give the Bandits camped out in front of Korvanjund a good rampaging, after listening to their conversation all damn night it's going to feel especially gratifying rampaging thru their skulls with my dual war axe wielding Wood Elf chick with rampaging issues.

    Rampageth!!

Also congrats on the not drinking rampage, the bad days are the worst!

Still they'll get better:-) also venting on FaWtL is scientifically proven to reduce stress:-)

Oh my god that bandit is still going off about his girlfriend that was totally cheating on him leaving him, give it up buddy, it's almost over.....

Uh... I have a deja vu... What month it is again?

Back from session. My sailor navigator almost slept with goddess of storms but another character who caught the goddess eye offered herself as a payment for her help. Our captain, who is the goddess daughter and invoked her in the first place for consultation wasn't pleased because the character who volunteered was her steward. Another character, with certain merchant and thief/spy leaning started to consider playing the dice with the goddess over the fate of the volunteer, but he would have to bet oneself to make that worthwhile...

It's generally just a short note about Mountain Terrors pdfs for Chronicle System (Saga Of Ice And Fire) being available from Green Ronin web shop and on DrivethruRPG and which two of those are mine.

I waited til dawn, perched on my ledge, like right above them, nobody look around now! all night that dude b%~%&ed and b&%+&ed about his girlfriend leaving him while he rotted in prison, and f@@+ her it's her lose, because he's got a lot going for him, yeaahh, he was the first I shot they the neck with my bow, the archer chick was the next to go, like she was gonna get a shot off! This one guy was all like "me and the bandit chief will fight you!" The bandit chief saw me chop up the trash talker in two shots and ran off into the woods, where I hunted him down like the cowardly pig he was.

    Rampageth!!

I might have caught a cold. It might explain the headaches and occasional sneezing.

How does Tiny T-Rex embarrass big sis?

Tiny T-Rex: Big sis, can we talk?

Big sis: Sure, what do you want to talk about?

Tiny T-Rex: I want to talk about boys

Big sis (face getting red): what?

Tiny T-Rex (confidently resolute): I want to talk about boys!

Big sis(face nearly purple now): ..... okaay... why don't you start...

Tiny T-Rex (oblivious and still confident): when I grow up I want to drive a skid loader and a rocket ship and.....

At this point the embarrassment and dread has passed:-)

~grimaces~ Ok. Got the loan and should be caught back up by Friday. It only added another $30 a month and three years to the total. ~sighs~ I hate being in debt. Easy to get into, hard to get out of.

Mom will be going in for surgery tomorrow. No eta or radiation and / or chemo therapy dates. Hopefully they get it all this time.

I'm hearing ya, dragon. Thankfully, ASU approved a $1500 grant to me for each semester this year, and the Post 9/11 payment still covers the entirely of my tuition. So I have a refund check headed my way this week that will help cover the expenses incurred this past summer.

Hmm, i could always re-alocate resources from the guard tower i'm building by hand in the garden (true, kind of, i have rocks in a circle, i put them there) or possibly the Beagle Ninja Training (sadly a failure, all stealth is forfeit as soon as a squirrel is seen) but yes its not looking good right now:-)

Our neighbors are out of town, and their house/dog sitter managed to lock herself out, with the dog still in the house, of course. Not having a key to that particular house (in spite of my constant wearing of ludicrous pants, I seem to be considered "Mr. Trustworthy" on the block and lots of neighbors give me their keys, just in case), I called Hi's player, who used to be a certified locksmith.

I've never seen him fail to pick a lock before, but on this house both the front door and the garage door stymied him. As we used a ladder to get into the back yard, we noticed a back window about 1/3 open. Off popped the screen, we tossed Impus Major through the tiny opening, and he rescued dog and dog sitter. (He's over there all the time, so the dog was happy to see him come through the window.) Grateful dog sitter paid Hi's player $20 for his troubles, and Hi's player promptly handed Impus Major half for actually getting the job done. (Admittedly, Hi's player was the one who was able to remove the screen from the outside without damaging it.)

As he left, Hi's player said, "And there we have it. I've taught Impus Major that breaking into other people's houses is fun and profitable. You can thank me later!"
