Yesterday was yet another example of, "Why I don't particularly worry about all those uber-specific build arguments running amok in the Advice and Rules forums..."
Impus Major decided to do an AC build. So he's a 4th-level fighter with an AC of 31. Not bad at all...
'til he met an otyugh who just decided to grapple, pin, and eat him instead.
After narrowly avoiding the coup de grace, only thanks to much help from his friends, the party moved on...
...only to find an apparently-dead, giant, sewn-together construct in the next room.Rest of party: "Impus Major! Get in there in case it wakes up!"
Impus Major: "No way! I'm not going in there!"
Rest of party: "What do you mean? It can't possibly hit you!"
Impus Major: "Look at its hands! It has big hands! It might grapple!"Ah, to put the fear of combat maneuvers into a child. My life as a GM is complete.
Well, not really, but it was awesome!
Today my party's bard decided to make my life as GM easier at least until the next level. As they just hit 7th level, she picked cure serious wounds and displacement (or maybe invisibility sphere, I need to check with her) instead of haste and good hope. The party has a two-handed weapon wielding paladin, scimitar-and-shield ranger, and a fighter.

Among the other events, the party was visited today by an older pair - neighbors owning the adjacent lot with ruins of their old house trying to find someone to buy it so they could leave the city and start life in some more peaceful area. The husband mentioned a thousand, the wife corrected him to two thousand... Orin, the party's spirit ranger suddenly quipped that's too much... A thousand and half would be more appropriate. After a short bargain he discovered to be the owner of the ruined house for mere thousand and six hundred. He followed to pay immediately.
The day after he and the fighter discovered that the ruined house has a cellar (the entrance was under large amount of rubble and the previous owners were unable to remove it themselves) with a 100 liter keg of wine, one empty keg, one keg of vinegar, and one piece of fifteen year old cheese...
And now the witch is considering buying her own place to act as a workshop and alchemy shop.

The cheese was used as a payment for rats that were interrogated in case of missing goblins.

So far, not impressed with Dragon Age: Inquisition for the 360 (and I've heard the PC port has even more problems). The character models look weird, everything is way too shiny, and EVERYTHING IS WAY TOO G+@%@*N SMALL TO SEE. I can barely read the text on the screen, I can't see any of the icons well enough to be able to tell what they do, and the camera is zoomed so far out that I can't even tell who's who most of the time. From what I can tell, this game was made for people who have massive high-definition TVs, and for those of us who don't, well, we can just go f$*+ ourselves.

Wow... just... wow.
Dodged a bad-guy-massacreing-bullet there!

Hey, I don't have any issues with Mass Effect 3... oops, yeah, I have a 46" TV, sorry, never mind. I'll just go sit down now.

My monitor is smaller than that, however it is collecting dust because my TV is my monitor now.
Installed Windows 10 Friday night. No issues so far. Only had to fix two minor issues on my daughter's laptop when she upgraded. She couldn't wait to get off Windows 8.1

I have a 40 inch I fished off the curb, the switch to digital was quite fruitful for those of us not afraid of looking poor with a converter box :-)
Also it didn't have a remote, but that doesn't matter we don't have cable so we don't flip channels, also almost all television we watch is online so the tv is almost used exclusively for video games :-)

Meh, I would just bumped encounter CR by point of two... They are already steam-rolling over most combat encounters.
During this campaign only one character died, and it wouldn't happen if the player didn't want to change his character in the first place - which made him take extreme risks.

Are you sure you don't want to start a thread about how it completely destroyed your campaign, and most likely your crapper's ancient pipes and it's all Paizo's fault because of the ACG errata
I doubt that my players even know of ACG existence, much less are affected by its errata in any way.

So far its a lot better then i remember.
Currently rampaging through the barrow for Skyrim Moira, the court wizard dude, also totally cut down a bunch of black turtlenecked cloak wearing D-Bag Vampires, the jerks never even got a hit in, i'm totally devastating s++* and i'm only third level, we'll see what happens when i run into the wannabe tiger woods giants that always launched me into the mountainside.
Rampageth!!!

However, I might need to rewrite therigens replacing Animal Soul bonus feat, as it was changed...
Where have I saved the errata file? Ah, never mind, I'll just download it again.

Yeah, the errated Animal Soul is much less interesting to theirgens, who by virtue of being fey are already immune to effects that are limited to humanoids.

Whoever was interested with the further fate of badgers with opposable thumbs, might want to check the new version of Animalistic Spirit racial feature.
Drejk |
Not Badger! How will him and Freehold hitchhike to Europe without thumbs, Freehold's black manliness will only get them so far before fatigue sets in.
Oh, Badger will be all right. The new version of Animalistic spririts just allows therigens to be affected with harmless spells that target animals even though they are fey. It still allows therigens to ignore prerequisites of Aspect Of The Beast feat.

I had trouble with Skyrim on our old TV.
New one is much better. I can sympathize though.
