I was going to say that it's probably not the second choice -- but I've seen it too often. Apparently they think that it's better to deal with a crying and screaming child than it would have been to give the child a few extra minutes on the phone. And like they are sticking it to you. (I'd be so sarcastic with them to the point of being nasty if it were me.)

Good luck, there really is no good solution. :( Some people just do not get it.

Thanks guys. Sometimes it just helps to know I'm not the only one who runs into these horrid people. As much as I want to give her a piece of my mind, I know that my time is better spent on helping Bryce since he's gonna need a lot of attention after a day like that. I really hope she doesn't try to talk to me though. I'm not sure I can make that will save.

::crashes his copper-scaled draconic butt back in the thread::
That's absolutely asinine! Poor Bryce. That's one of those situations that would prompt me to make a very direct and directive phonecall to the principal, demanding an interview with that particular person.
Backlash for demanding that your child get the attention and specific educational benefits he needs to succeed? It'd better not be...just remind them that his academic success is directly tied to their job performance...school administrators AND teachers...by LAW! (Whether you agree with the NCLB laws or not, it's leverage in this case.)
If she's just too much of a b***h to demonstrate patience and self control when presented with a child who obviously has special needs, then she needs to be ... calibrated.
Sorry...this riled me up. Some people need a kick in the teeth.

I pretty much gave up with my son's math teacher. My son has lost more math because of this teacher than he's learned. Meeting with her did nothing. I had to take it upon myself to teach him mathematics. Went from a 67% to a 90% as a result. What really bugs me though is that she's going to try to take credit for his improvement.

We were going to go to the local zoo today to see the wallabies, but they died over the winter. That is very sad.
That is sad. What type of Wallabies were they? A lot of Wallabies are not suited to the cold. Rock Wallabies do ok in winter as well as some of the Tasmanian varieties.
If you get a chance to see them the smallest in the Kangaroo family are the Pademelons.
Size wise its Kangaroo's (Western Red Kangaroo's being the biggest) then Wallaroos then Wallabies then Pademelons.
They were red necked wallabies. They were our favorite residents of the local zoo. When we found out they had died, we didn't see the point in going. :(
If it was the cold, that makes me angry. Although they had been there for a number of years, so I assume if the cold was going to kill them, it would have done so earlier. They were probably old.
Sounds like they were old.
