Okay, one more:

Chapter One, we didn't really get along
Chapter Two, I think I fell in love with you
You said you'd stand by me in the middle of Chapter Three
But you were up to your old tricks in chapters Four, Five, and Six

Asura Azan are here! Finally finished them after conceiving their idea long long ago.

Spoiler:
I refuse to comment on baseless accusations that they were created when I decided to file off serial numbers of my Guild Wars 2 asura interpretation and then they evolved into something they are now.

On the plus side, I get to go run an errand shortly :-)

There is no downside :-)

I got my hair touched up today. The blue came out much darker. Kind of an iridescent midnight color, a bit like starling feathers. Which is cool.

My husband is more lucid today which isn't doing him any favors since he is still in a lot of pain. And bored out of his mind. He's so frustrated about not being able to read or watch tv. Not that he can pay attention to anything yet. I've played the same podcast for him twice and he didn't even recognize it the second time... Looks like a longer than predicted recovery.

poor guy. I hope he recovers soon.

You kidding? Forget a time where the forums weren't the hellhole they are outside our borders? Those are the glory days, man. The days of the old forum story-games, the cult threads, the alias wars, and when everything wasn't taken so bloody seriously and people actually had a sense of humor.

We've lost a lot of good people since those days. Gained a few too, but there's always the people who've gone and probably won't bother to come back.

The Adventure Path boards are usually pretty civil:-)

though it is annoying when someone decides you did it wrong, whatever IT is, other then an awesome book that is:-p)

I'll give them that, most of the time the AP forums are pretty sensible.

As is the homebrew forum. Barring one or two people who get bugs up their butts about this or that thing and chase down every homebrew thread that touches on the subject. (Most notable victims: firearms and other tech, E6 and similar systems, niche or unusual character concepts, and vow of poverty/anti-Christmas Tree concepts. Psionics and martial maneuvers used to be on this list, but thanks to Dreamscarred they've migrated those arguments over to the 3rd-party boards instead.)

the Bestiary wish list threads are brutal! man people are passionate about monsters!! like way more then i ever thought:-p

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Yeeeaaaah there are a couple of users who post regularly in those threads who are really, really crude and insulting toward anyone who's interested in things they're not. I posted a couple of suggestions in the very first thread, got shouted at at least once for daring to like something, and haven't been back since.

i don't get much company, and most of the company i do get don't play RPGs, so i never get to show it off, hence the picture:-)

It bothers me more than it probably should that you have Death's Heretic separate from The Redemption Engine and Queen of Thorns separate from wherever the rest of the series is.

Otherwise awesome collection. Reminds me of the bookshelf where my friends and I kept our D&D books back in Arizona.

Why is it that Billy Connolly always ends up playing Irish characters in movies? He's Scottish, and his accent always shows through. Maybe Hollywood producers think that Scotireland is a real place...

Thank god I kept that mini-fridge that I stole from Syracuse University. My regular fridge has stopped working, and if I hadn't kept the mini, I'd have nowhere to store my beer collection.

And by "stole," I mean, "I paid $120,000 in tuition and all I got was this stupid fridge."

Hey, what're you doin' outta them, what'y'call'em, eh, oh, yeah, them Sheye-ah-mah-lahn game-flicks 'bout them windy blue catfolk*! Sean Connolly and Bill Connery are the only things o' any value you guys've evah pro-duced, there in Scotireland, or whatever! Other than that cabbage game y'r always goin' on 'bout, I guess! But even that's not like good ol' American football: most sensible game, and most popular in the world! People talk 'bout it all the time!

* I have to admit, if anyone gets this reference - separated by three or four degrees as it is, and predicated by three conflations - I'll be shocked.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

SPOILER! The secret reference REVEALED! No cheating (unless you want):
It's the Ultima Series. I'm talking about the Ultima series of games. See, the primary protagonist is "the Avatar". Said series has a character named "Lord British", a stand-in for it's creator. As Vlaeros apparently doesn't know the difference between British, English, Scottish, or Irish (and has no idea the wars or horrible historical events surrounding those deep differences), and probably has even less of an idea that Wales exists than there might be a difference ("Weren't those the things in that one star wars two film?"), he's presuming you're the same guy from those games. Since "the Avatar" is also the name of the (justly) famous animated series, and the name of that one overly-political Cameron film, he's conflating the lot of them. Yes, I'm that needlessly complicated. DON'T JUDGE ME!
